Also in theory it will have more slowplays with 2 pairs / sets going x call x call and bluff raises on the river so it makes sense why a bad 2 pair checks back but in real life in this spot you probably have 90%+ equity and are never getting bluff jammed on so we should always bet it imo
October 1st will be the day I started online poker again. I turned 100$ into 15,000 I am now a reg at 100NL taking shots at 200NL its been such a journey thanks for all the goodies.
You mentioned that Villain would be mostly folding Kx OTF, which is what I have seen in 3 way solves. From the sims I've seen a hand like QJ would make a better call I assume because nut value is way more important than in a HU pot. Even weak Ax starts to become indifferent to folding, even as early as OTF. My guess is that most of us still play similarly as if the pot was HU, maybe slightly tighter but not as much as theory suggests. If that's true I think value betting the river should outperform checking because single pair Ax hands will be in the call range far more than theory shows them to be.
Depends on where you play I guess. On my limit (NL5) people are very scared of overbets and would fold most top pairs on the turn and certainly not call another overbet on the river with just top pair. So check river except versus hard calling stations when you can do everything. A good chance of success versus average opponents would be 3x b75.
I think people don't like to fold when the frontdoor flush + all front door draws missed. So I totally agree that villains probably over call here. Would you call here in this spot as the villain?
Against a human who called w Ace x on the turn vs ob, they will seldom fold on a blank river. If this is true, even if you own yourself sometimes, the play will be +EV for sure!
Thanks for the video. Why do you think the river is overcalled. I thought mass data indicated that triple barrel bluffs were extremely profitable in weak pools like GG? Maybe the regs call because BTN vs BB triple barrel is overbluffed. But we started multiway and we went from overbet turn to 2/3 river bet which is also an underbluffed line. If I was the BB against a reg i would have also called the A8 (maybe not because it started multiway or maybe not due to the smaller river sizing). In your position i would have yammed because I also thought our equity was enormous (but no idea which weaker hands would have called :):)), but after watching this video i think a check or a feather bet would be my preferred options.
@@theLoneWarriorofAllah78611O Ah. A bet even smaller than block bet. Like 10% for example. Normally in position thats not a thing in GTO, but exploitatively it can tricker bluffs or very light calls
@@dennisje2925 ohhh okay thank you for explaining :). Edit: For what its worth i also thought if i was in this situation i would check back river but if youre getting called by just an A here then obv bet is right but i think against most players if you get called on the river for this sizing after turn overbet youre beat so this is an exploitative play imo
No way i m checking this hand river. 3 streets of value for sure, maybe not overbet turn but im sure its fine in reality. Also, mark opponent as calling station
Would just like to share, on the river, in 55bb pot, I raised 55bb for value with stone cold nuts, villain reraised all in for 130bb and I self owned by misclicking food. I feel better now thanks. Bye

I think it would be criminal to check back this hand on the river. Your analysis is right on point.

Good video but would have been better if you showed an example of the node locking you mentioned.
I like the 70% sizing compared to overbet jam. I don't think its too thin, if you get raised its time to pitch it.
Lets go! Nice one Pete
ecently started ti deserve to play the game, ty pete.

I assume you mean "jammed," but "yammed" is a hella funny misspelling!
What if villain jams over your tiny bet?

If the solver disagrees just say "white magic".
Triple H doesn't deserve to play the game.
