Hey Peter, Have you ever thought about making a video discussing your journey into solver/frequencies/rolling every decision. Followed by, your emergence from trying to emulate pure solver play to a more exploitative approach grounded in theory? This would make a fine "History of the Carrot" video and a good one for year end.
I 100% agree with your comments about fish. It has a rich history in this game and is fun and colorful. Also, fish are not barred from using the term either.
That hand where you had AK on KJJ and the fish bet half pot on the river QS, it's almost the exact same board, action sequence and logic i had to call a merged fish range yesterday in live poker!
I just love your videos and your reasoning behind each decision. I wish I was able to somehow take it and use it to my advantage. Taking notes is one thing, remembering in play or even during hand review is another.
on the Jh9h hand, i think there is merit to go all in on the river against some oponents, im pretty sure there are oponents who calls there with pair + hearts blocker or two pair made on the turn or river.
I think it's pretty cool to associate playstyles with animals fish = passive goes with the flow donkey=wild, does nonsense shark= stealthy, beats everyone Unfortunately there's too much negative connotation some of these words, people just wont take it well, not to say calling someone a fun player is any better than calling someone a fish, if someone's trying to get better at poker it probably will be badly received either way. On the flipside, I think if someone's playing for fun and not taking it seriously at all, "fish" or "donkey" seems less appropriate and probably offends them more 🤠

Hey Pete I’m reading the grinder’s manual and your c-bet section recommends a min sizing of half pot, do you have an updated resource for c betting as it seems 1/3 pot is the sizing most people are building into their game nowadays
Well in the last hand you say you have "the nuts" but you don't have the nuts when the second 2 appears on the river. You have the nut flush (maybe the "effective nuts?") but the nuts is of course quads and a boat beats you as well. That is just a way to simplify your strategy, because most of the times you have too much air compared to the condensed range of the ip caller...that being said there are exceptions, as far as some spots in which you are supposed to cbet almost the entire range.
