I have a 2020 G90 5.0 AWD and it's the best car I have ever owned and I have owned several of the "Germans" in the past. Actually it's my second G90. I had the first 2017 G90 5.0 AWD sold at my dealership and did love that car. Only reason I got rid of it was for the new 2020. Do yourself a favor and check one of these out if you are shopping S-Class, 7-Series or A8 and save many thousands of dollars.

The G90 is a very luxurious, a lot of options, excellent, powerful and is NOT going to be at the dealer for repairs forever

Coming from a 2015 Hyundai Genesis (the year before the separate brand launched) I *really* wanted to like this car but there were a few issues which I simply couldn't get past.
1) The launch campaign for this car was abysmal. It actually debuted in Canada months before being available in the states. here we are in June of 2020 and I still have yet to see one in a showroom where I live.
2) No digital instrument cluster, not even as an option. A LOT of this car is carried over from my previous car, now called the Genesis G80. That's generally OK because that was a really nice car but this one is supposed to be a flagship. There's simply no excuse for the lack of a digital instrument cluster in this segment, especially considering the Kia K900 has it standard for much less.
3) No massaging seats. Again, they're not even offered as an option.
4) Those wheels. I noticed your car had the previous 2019 stock wheels. Good choice as the OEM 2020 wheels are simply hideous.
It's a really nice car overall but in this segment you can't make excuses. What's so great about being cheaper than the competition if the products aren't really comparable.

I have a 2013 Lexus LS460L and this G90 have really caught my attention as a future replacement... Luxury, comfort and bang for your buck is what i go for and i dont see myself getting a LS500 when there are cars like the G90 for 20k less than LS500. Personally i think LS500 is a step back from last gen LS460L...
S Class is in a whole other realm. Just shy of Bentley. This is a direct rival to the Lexus LS. Which is a much more interesting comparison.

The LS is a far better car.
Just the fit and finish even of a ES Lexus is levels better than this Genesis.
I like this car alot though , but i just cannot get over the Genesis/Hyundia factor.

4.6 V8 Tau? That was made by Hyundai too but was discontinued after 2012 since the 5.0 was more powerful .
I'm dying to see what the redesign next year will bring. If they get every thing right(which I'm sure they will) we could be looking at a deep blow to the well known top dogs .
This car is really awesome and pricewise it is better than a S class.It worths over 90k price tag.

I just got my 2020 G90 5.0 Ultimate. Replaced my 2017 G90 5.0 Ultimate and it is a fantastic car. It's the best car that nobody ever heard of. I can't count the number of times people have asked me what it is. Same thing happened with my 2017. Great car in need of advertising! One thing I noticed is that it has the old style wheels. My G90 has an altogether different wheel. Same size just cooler. Those wheels are what I had on my 2017.

Would you be willing to share how much your lease payment is? I currently lease a 2018 G90 5.0 AWD. I had some negative equity that rolled into the lease price, so my payment is $1,261 a month. Yep, a lot of money! I didn’t put any money down, either. I’d love to know what a lease price is on a 2020. If you don’t want to permanently leave the amount on here, I could write a reply on here saying that I read the number, and then you could immediately delete your response with the number.

Gorgeous vehicle, interior and exterior, No S-Class or Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Cadillac CT6, Genesis reliability is a 10. I have a 2017 Genesis G90 5.0 HTrac love it. This refresh is awesome as well reliability is a 10, same engine as my 2017 with the V8, these beast will last 400,000 or more easily.
DUDE! There was TWO manuals in the package the TOP manual was simple. Dude! I owned a G80. I went back to Benz. So the Benz longevity is terrible and it is nickel and dimeing me so now I am getting a NEW LEXUS LS 500 AWD INSPIRATION SERIES. CAN KEEP THAT CAR 20 years.

It has remote start. You do it through your phone via the Genesis app.

As long as they're not going to get like these idiot manufacturers who think luxury and sport are the same thing. AMG and M class are completely different. They're taking a luxury car and making it more of a sports car. Fine. But if you buy a luxury car, like a Genesis, Cadillac, Lexus or non-AMG Mercedes, you're buying a super comfortable, convenient and classy luxury car. Old school luxury cars had V8 engines that had as low as 140 hp, because they weren't designed for street racing. They were designed for comfort. BMW had V12s that went into their late 80s and 90s cars that, sure, they got 300 hp, but the emphasis was on smoothness and comfort. That's what I want to see in a luxury car. As long as you're not having trouble getting up to speed merging on a highway, it's plenty fast enough. If you want a super sedan or a sports car, get that. A luxury car with a stiff chassis and 500 hp is like an old man trying to hit on college girls. That's just creepy and you'll probably throw your back out at some point. I feel the same way about a luxury sedan that everyone complains is a "boat." If you're looking for precise handling and road feel in a luxury car, you're looking at the wrong car. I shouldn't have to suffer with back pain because Twinkletoes in the SVT hat wants to go fast down a winding road in his car with leather seats. All I'm thinking is, there's a cliff right next to you. Please decrease the surplus population.
At least it has a nice chime. The back looks like an Avalon. 70 k for a Hyundai... are the screens in the back dvd?

This is definitely a really nice car, the interior in particular, but it isn't even close to a S-Class. It is far more competitive with the LS500 for sure.

@@robertstv8045 Yes I have actually. It's a nice car, but it's no S-Class. It's slow, handles like a 80's Lincoln and isn't even close in tech to an S-Class. S-Classes are not "lease only" either. Try again man. Maybe you should drive them.

This car will be a total flop, just like the G90 and G80 were. Hyundai has a reputation as being a copy-cat, budget luxury brand and that does not bode well for for Genesis.
Cause the 7series is not a copy🤔 come on now? Cause the contental is not a budget luxury car? Cars are now driving smart phones. It gets harder and harder to separate one lux car from another
