- i tried to find this on youtube but no one uploaded it for some reason? at least not that i could find? so i'll do it i guess.
if somebody did upload this and i just couldn't find it lemme know.
(someone has, but did not link it to the missing song, so i don't feel guilty leaving this up because more people know about it now.)
This report was from 2008, but the song itself is from 2006 supposedly.

0:40 when you're on low health
I nearly pissed myself laughing at this comment
//WHEEZES
Hurricane Sandy used Intensify! It’s super effective!
New York is destroyed!
It's even a bit closer to the KH low health sound lol
@@Notheter same 😂
When I first heard this, I thought “sounds great. It’s a shame the weather channel will probably just play a 2 second snippet of it in their intro graphic” but no, they really let that masterpiece run.
As they should
as they really should
Giving boss music to a storm is technically not the worst way to make people worry about it
That is, until the Gregorian chanting kicks in
Oooooh, so it was the song that plays when you try and fight a hurricane with a ludicrously large sword and/or the power of friendship. I'm... sure that went fine.
Ya it went very well
A giant wand would also work
@@CindyWu1665 Or a giant shield?
@@kisomaniac4913 giant wand would be more of magical girl style
@@CindyWu1665 I was doing a kinda kingdom hearts thing. Sword wand and shield.
How am I supposed to take this alert seriously when I’m over here thinking about to fight the damn rain with weaponry?
Someone should make a playlist of different themes and call it Weathercore. I think NHK has some pretty catchy music as well.
@@naty_froggyClimatewave
Climatewave, Vaporwave and I'm sure there are a few other categories as well...
"Weatherwave" also has a nice ring to it
This is a great idea
There’s a signalwave playlist but somewhat similar. ua-cam.com/play/PLTH54U9zrHPPpVq8PYgzcuUtvB3AT0Cbe.html&si=VrBKXZ6Ii-mmDfQ7
"What's the weather say about the hurricane, honey? Is it gonna be bad?"
"Well they're playing boss music so I don't think we're gonna make it, dear."
I was chuckling for a good second till 0:25 when I thought this might've been hurricane Katrina. Turns out it was Gustav, but the momentary panic followed by the alert beeps really amplified the music for me.
Gustav's boss theme.
0:41 i remember being scared of that sound when I was younger and I think I cried a little
I don’t miss it
For the numptys who don't know. This was during Hurricane Gustav, a very severe hurricane! It was also one of few hurricanes to hit the midwest.
Well there’s proof that this song isn’t just a fever Dream. Who went this hard on the music?
still unknown! we may never know, i hope we find out one day though.
We don’t know but the og poster of the vid said the music was already on the broadcast
@@pachblankI really hope we find out, too, I would love to know! ^^'
According to a reply on one of the comments on the song's theme. Christopher Kennedy said he was responsible for it
@@MisterSkullium I FOUND HIM. HE’S AWARE OF THE MEME
THE CLOUDS ARE CASTING THUNDAGA!!!
Well, it was about time I finally found a live recording of TWC's 2006 storm alert in action. I thought this footage was lost to time!
2000's Weather Channel was the best! Miss it so much :)
This music has no business going this hard
That alert beep is insanely nostalgic
Naw, it's fucking terrifying😨😨
No, it means you have low health and need to heal, Sora.
Yoko Shimomura going hard on this theme rn.
Funny thing is, the one who composed it wasn't even Yoko! It was just some random guy who probably isn't even aware that he has the skills to match Yoko
This will now play in my head whenever a tornado is announced lol
so now we know which hurricane had this boss theme…
I used to love watching the weather forecast on the weather channel as a kid and I even got into the music itself
Gustav has a very strange memory for me. It hit while I was on vacation in Mackinaw City, and I wanted to stay glued to the TV watching (especally when the family wanted to go to the water park). Such a freaking geek.
I remember listening to that tone when me and my grandparents stayed in a motel back in 2011 during the super outbreak after they let schools out early in my county ahead of the violent storms.
It kinda unnerved me as a kid and it still does now.

Look out for the rainstorm of Heartless.
I miss this Weather Channel. No original programming, just Local on the 8's and several minutes of advertisements. It's how it always should've been.
they first aired storm stories in 03, i think they might've had 2 other shows by 06, either way every commercial break they would still show the local on the 8s from what i remember.
Whos causing this weather, JENOVA?
*OMG, YES !. 😂.*
J-E-N-O-V-A music plays
This sounds so damn close to Darkness of the Unknown from KH2. What the hell.
During severe weather events my eyes would be glued to stuff like this and my heart rate would be sickeningly high
I greatly admire finding early 2000s Weather on the 8s, but it goes without saying that Gulfport was not having a great week here.
I only wish I had saved the week ahead outlook I once took as a kid with snow, tornado/hurricane midweek, and then 90s at the end of it all. That was a crazy weather week!
The alert works so well for the music
This was in 2006 correct?
this particular report was in 2008, but this music has also been used in 2006 according to some people. i haven't been able to find something to back that up. this was all i could find.
@@pachblank Well I'm convinced 👍
@@jellydiablo8573 yes yes I was it was in 2006
@@pachblank the dude that originally posted the vid said the music was already in the broadcast
i think i remember hearing this when i was like 5 or 6 in 2015 but i didnt realise how much of a bop it was
fetus
@@JordiumZ bro hes 13 or 14
Ooh, right in the nostalgia. Bonus points for being Gustav, that was when I was peak Weather Channel nerd. I was glued to that. I still distinctly remembering seeing the parade of Hannah, Ike, and Josephine just after it was fading.
sounds like kingdom hearts fight music
We're gonna find this song someday. i hope.
I think the weather channel owns it, or search twc 2006 storm alert theme
@@notarotomwithhair5637 i meant finding who made it, the actual title of the song, etc. We have nit found those yet sadly
oh
It’s obvious but the first 4 notes sound like the 2005 theme
In case you didn’t hear: turns out it’s Chis Kennedy
I never knew TWC implimented sound effects for any city that's expecting strong storms or having rain and wind at the same time. Defenitly somthing that's unique and should've never been phased out along its recongizable graphics from its 2006-13 era
Hi! There’s horrible weather heading right for you! Here’s some boss battle music!
Before, u can actually hear the rain, wind, thunder, and snow on the old local on the 8s
When I'm under a Tornado Warning but I possess a great amount of supernatural abilities enough to counter the storm
Bro this music is awsome. The tornado is gonna start dancing.
Originally broadcasted on the Weather Channel on September 1st, 2008.
The Weather Channel’s storm alert soundtrack is the definition of “we’re all gonna die.”
Damn a hurricane and a tornado at the same time
Hurricanes tend to spawn tornadoes
seeing gulf coast cities on some random youtube channel is weird
There’s a video called something like “Kingdom hearts music, or weather channel music?” It’s a quiz, and I got 7 wrong 😂
now we are stuck in a JRPG fighting a tornado and our teams health is low
No matter how much proof there is that this is a Weather Channel song my brain just won't except it and I keep thinking I'm getting jebaited lol
Imagine storm having a storm alert while kh music plays
This shit is so surreal. And it’s crazy because I probably experienced it…especially in 2006.
1:19 omg i remember those graphics for the forecasts
Guys the reason is the weather channel doesn’t have this no more because it’s all on the phone know that’s cool
I miss old school TWC
the chills this just sent me bruh i remember this when i lived in the midwest... still brings me chills
This is a true pachblank classic
this genuinely sparks fear in me
We need WEATHERCORE!
I like the sound effects in the local forecast
very epic and cool
Banger music lol!
This Storm Alert was brought to you by the Intellistar 1 SD, a cable headend that has been discontinued in 2015. Also btw, this theme ISN’T it’s final form.
Please tell me what it's final form is! (If it even has one)
@@easiestcc6451 honestly latest one I’m aware is TWC’s 2012 red mode theme
Light Rain has challenged you!
0:42 a tornado warning has been issued for your area
1:17 when you're playing MGS2
Shit goes hard.
Reminds me of Ar Tonelico/Super Meat Boy.
kingdom hearts ahh song
Where can I find the full song?
Who made this song and the full version is currently unknown, here is a higher quality version though: (ua-cam.com/video/AjAxsWgEexI/v-deo.html)

@HuYoaDaddy it’s a report from 2008 with the -alleged- 2006 music
This would fit perfectly in a Kingdom Hearts game, or some other SquareEnix game.
I could see this being used for a Kingdom Hearts boss ngl
