Oh that is terrible. I'm glad that you went inside when you did. People underestimate the damage done by the inflows and outflows. The main tornado doesn't even have to go directly over you to sustain bad damage.
Wow 😮 great video never seen anything like this from the time it forms through the destruction it was causing!! I don’t live too far from Elkhorn and I saw the devastation firsthand, unbelievable what mother nature can cause in an instant.
Pretty incredible footage! Multiple vortexes is crazy; ESPECIALLY that moment where it almost looks like three fat stove-pipes all coalescing? terrifying stuff.
The most awesome footage I have seen of tornadoes in a long time. As you can see it many times there's more than one two and three tornadoes right there. It was having problems for formation and coming together as one but that was crazy best thank you for sharing the stay safe
Some years ago I saw a test / demonstration of how different roofing materials stand up to very high winds. To my surprise, asphalt shingles did the best because they're flexible and therefore are less likely to be torn off. The more solid materials like what's on the roof of this house are more prone to destruction, because if one fails and is torn off, the wind can immediately get under all the others nearby and rip them away too.
Our home was destroyed two days before this in Mississippi. Horrible and bad thing is insurance won’t pay to fix that beautiful yard. I was devastated when I found out my property was under insured.
Actually, those are spruces. Beautiful trees for sure. From the later footage, you can see at least the one in the middle survived unscathed. One had its head chopped off, but if allowed time, will regrow. All of the trees, even the small ones were troopers in this video. Albeit the tornado didn’t actually directly hit the property, that inflow jet was probably cranking at around 90 to 100 miles per hour at times. Incredible.
I’m so sorry this happened to you. Good on you for being smart and knowing when to stop filming and get to your basement. I hope that your beautiful property is getting restored to its former glory. And very glad that you are okay. ❤
Good footage, no loud screaming, just you two talking and making a plan for a possible impact, with multiple angles from the surveillance cameras to top it all off. Really well done. I hope the recovery isnt too hard for you guys.
This was so interesting yet completely terrifying to watch! At 12:44, seeing that roof get ripped off and go flying outta eyesight. Makes me thankful I live in Oregon. I always pray for those affected by tornadoes. It's so eerie hearing the sirens... Yet afterwards it IS a warzone. 😮😢 Amazing video from all angles.
Thank you for having the patience and knowledge of safety to film the formation of this tornado. I grew up in Knoxville, Tn, and, back in the mid to late 80’s, I watched something like the early portion of this video and then drove home, stupidly, through the worse rainstorm I’ve ever experienced in a vehicle. The news called it a wind shear, but I have always believed it was a funnel cloud because I watched the formation from the perfect vantage point, like you. It ripped the roofs off of homes in the neighborhood next to ours (Gulf Park) and bent a two-story cross in front of a church on Cedar Bluff Road down to the ground. Scared me half to death, but I have always loved storms. Glad you were safe. Beautiful home, property and setting, btw. Thank you for the video.
I was able to use the power flashes (the "sparks") seen in this video to sync it up with one by High Risk Chris. Pause this video at 2:10 and go to 3:29 on Chris's chase video and you can see this tornado from two angles. I think there's a cut in Chris's video, but you can resync again by setting this video to 4:08 and Chris's to 5:24.
I’m sorry to see your beautiful home take damage! You got incredible video of it. Luckily you guys didn’t take a direct hit. Isn’t it wild how selective tornado damage can be? You guys didn’t even lose power in the video. Hope everyone was okay! ❤

@@outoftheforest7652Honestly manageable tree damage too. Some broken limbs and only one truly downed tree. Rip Spruce. Donno if they kept the headless spruce in though, even though it would eventually regrow.
this tornado used to be a high end EF3, it was infact a TORNADO EMERGENCY. based on the wind speeds, the National Weather Service jacked it up to a low end ef4. Prayers for those who were injured!
Goes to show, 1) you don’t need to see a “funnel” to have a tornado and 2) you don’t need to take a direct hit to be severely injured or have severe damage. The inflow alone can do quite a number!
The security cameras deserve an Emmy award. Top notch high quality stuff.

Incredible compilation. Thank you!
Dang it. I was rooting for a miss. Beautiful place, I hope everyone’s ok and best of luck rebuilding!
Wow...that beautiful home sustained a lot of damage. The power of nature is unbelievable...!!!
Absolutely unbelievable. Thank you for sharing!
And that, kids, is why we stay away from windows. Great footage! I’m in Oklahoma so we’ve seen a thing or two.
The spinning weather vane at 16:49 is priceless.
I am glad I am not the only one who thought that!
11:49 ...
I hope everybody made it through that okay. Absolutely gorgeous home 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊😊
Sorry for all the damage, but thank you for sharing. All the different angles were very interesting to watch.
Pretty incredible footage! Multiple vortexes is crazy; ESPECIALLY that moment where it almost looks like three fat stove-pipes all coalescing? terrifying stuff.
That looked like a pretty big and strong one. Glad you are all right and that your home mostly made it through!
C'est violent ! Une superbe vidéo pour les archives sur les tornades que vous avez là
The most awesome footage I have seen of tornadoes in a long time. As you can see it many times there's more than one two and three tornadoes right there. It was having problems for formation and coming together as one but that was crazy best thank you for sharing the stay safe
the multiple vortices and "complicated' trendrils of how that tornado was formed. It isn't just one simple vortex.. it has a lot going on...
What a beautiful place to live in! Hope you'll be able to repair the damage! This Elkhorn one was true insanity
Thank you for sharing all the footage, glad ur safe, sad watching the destruction though
12:16 Ghost train way in the background, powerful rear inflow jet feeding the Vortex. that's not dust, it is vapor or condensation near the ground.
Thank you for posting. It looks like the raw center just missed your beautiful home but still did a lot of damage. keep safe
Great video! So glad you were paying attention. Lifting you and your family in prayer for good recovery from the damage.
Our home was destroyed two days before this in Mississippi. Horrible and bad thing is insurance won’t pay to fix that beautiful yard. I was devastated when I found out my property was under insured.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope everything works out for you. Hang in there.
Wow incredible video! Hope you all have recovered and no injuries.
Wow! I’m a meteorology professor, and this is a textbook example of a tornado in action! Frightening. I hope everyone was safe!
Merci de nous avoir montré les images de ce phénomène particulièrement effrayant. J'espère que tout va bien pour vous.
Bisous de France.
Nice home. Just think, you only got the inflow winds! Lucky it missed by a few hundred yards.
Hell of a homestead there in that last clip!
Tornado was violent but you guys were calm.Hope you can recover quickly.
Pines in the background at 10:00 were putting up a hell of a fight, wonder if they survived ?
Wow! This is one of the best multi-tornado videos I’ve ever seen!
Good footage, no loud screaming, just you two talking and making a plan for a possible impact, with multiple angles from the surveillance cameras to top it all off. Really well done. I hope the recovery isnt too hard for you guys.
This is amazing footage wow.
Amazing!! Watching a storm produce a tornado from the beginning is mind blowing!
What a beautiful home and grounds and land!! I am glad your family is safe.
Beautiful home and property btw. Lovely view from the hill. Sturdy foundation. And I love the gardening. Hope everyone is OK.
Hopefully you’re OK and It didn’t have too much damage you have a beautiful home!
What excellent footage. Thanks for giving us the chance to see it.
Hope you and your family were all safe great recording and quality was really good.
Tornado siren was almost a 4 minute delay. Not bad! One day it will be no delay. 🙏 Beautiful home and view you have.
That was too close for comfort amazing and thanks for the share. You were very lucky good luck
I would like to know the cameras brand
I’m sorry to see your beautiful home take damage! You got incredible video of it. Luckily you guys didn’t take a direct hit. Isn’t it wild how selective tornado damage can be? You guys didn’t even lose power in the video. Hope everyone was okay! ❤
Hate these things!! Sad to see the damage after so much effort to create such a beautiful property. That little weather vane didn’t stand a chance, nor the out buildings. Only good thing I see is your well built home held up well and hopefully kept you safe! Best wishes to you.
I'm so sorry for the damage to your beautiful home. I hope you are ok. The video shows how unpredictable and powerful tornadoes are. I wish we had sirens in Ontario Canada because we do get some too
Beautiful home!!!
Was
@@gifthorse3675 hey, if you rebuild it, they will come 😩✌️👍
10:46 the RFD kicks in.
Possibly some of the most incredible tornado footage I’ve ever seen. I’m so sorry to see such a beautiful home get destroyed. 😔 hope you all are ok.
It looks like the house is pretty intact, in all honesty Not "Destroyed" .. roof damage, tree damage.. but looked generally intact.
@@outoftheforest7652Honestly manageable tree damage too. Some broken limbs and only one truly downed tree. Rip Spruce. Donno if they kept the headless spruce in though, even though it would eventually regrow.
Thanks for a great and unique video. Never seen so many different vortexes. Glad you're ok.
this tornado used to be a high end EF3, it was infact a TORNADO EMERGENCY. based on the wind speeds, the National Weather Service jacked it up to a low end ef4. Prayers for those who were injured!
Goes to show, 1) you don’t need to see a “funnel” to have a tornado and 2) you don’t need to take a direct hit to be severely injured or have severe damage. The inflow alone can do quite a number!
That little windmill put up a good fight! A lot of damage, to be sure, but I think you can be proud of the high quality construction, overall.
Awe, I'm in love with the beautiful home 😍 and hoping it got fixed! Glad everyone is safe!
Amazing, yet terrifying. I'm so sorry about your property, but thank you for sharing this incredible footage with us.
Absolutely incredible. Glad you are safe. Thank you for sharing this.
When you switch to the cameras on houses etc, there are SO MANT VORTICES and they’re shown so clearly!!!!! Incredible!!!!
