  • This documentary which aired on TV1 was so compelling, heart wrenching, informative, and beyond sad to me; especially to hear Emmett's mother, Ms. Mamie Till-Mobley describe how her son looked after this vicious murder...I actually cried out loud. As a parent, can you imagine having to see your child like this? The men who did this were vicious, heartless, & vile.

      I knew the moment she saw the coffin would be the moment she cried. Our brains can be deceptive, it's a defense mechanism. Her brain was finding ways to tell her it's not real, there's a chance this is all just a mistake, Bobo is gonna walk off that train. As soon as she saw the coffin, her brain wasn't able to defend her anymore, had to surrender to reality. Too many tears watching this show.

    This is why we must continue to educate our kids on our history so they can be prepared as much as possible because it could save their lives. People saying we need to stop bringing this up in order to move forward but know people need to quit teaching their kids how to be racist and thinking they are superior over another race. My kids are 8 and 10 and I am teaching them and telling them the stories so they can know and be able to use discernment if they ever encounter racism or similiar because it still exists today. I wish Mrs.Mamie had taken the time to explain to Emmitt about racism long before he begged to go on that trip to Mississippi and maybe even escorted him down there a few times to visit to let him see and school him on it before she let him go alone. I am not blaming her but just wishful thinking of how this maybe could have been avoided.RIP Mrs Mamie and Emmitt Till We love ya'll.

    This is one delicate story that breaks every part of me down. Hearing Mrs. Mamie(may she continue to rest in the arms of our Savior) describe the nature of the body of her deceased son, feels as though it had just happened in a very present time. Emmitt, was obviously raised very well and he meant no harm, but because of it they tortured and murdered him and tried to cover up their evil acts. I truly believe that God served a hand at exposing the ugliness of what mankind has done and by his word vengeance is the Lord's. Rest Emmitt. X

    Jesus! It wasn't necessary to do anything to this child! It's heartbreaking to even imagine the torture and pain this baby felt going through this. Natural Justice is still needed I don't care who doesn't think so! Best believe he's already received spiritual Justice.

    Unfortunately, the men who did this were not out of the ordinary as thousands of Black men were lynched for no reason other than being Black. Make no mistake that their beliefs have been passed down to their descendants and they walk among us today. Most won't attempt to do what their ancestors did for fear of retribution, but a few are willing to take that chance. The McMichaels and William Bryan come to mind.

    I cannot imagine what this poor mother had to endure having lost her ONLY child in such an unthinkable cruel manner. Having to see her baby’s tortured mutilated body…What a strong woman she was. As a mother, I don’t know how she did it. Truly sad and unimaginable was this whole situation. No justice was ever served for Emmett. The monsters that beat, tortured and killed him walked free and got away with his murder as if it was nothing…I really hope Roy, his brother and Carolyn are paying in the after life for what pain they caused to that child and his mother having lived her life and never got justice for him . May Emmett & Mamie Till be together eternally resting in peace ❤

    It hurts me, no mother should ever see their child like this! No matter what, sadly Carolyn Bryant is the only one alive from the 1955 Trial, she’s getting what’s coming to her.

    • @rucianapollard7098
      @rucianapollard7098 Рік тому

      I know most of us are angry because Carolyn Bryant escaped justice, but she only escaped "man's" justice. Since 1955 she has lived a miserable life!! All of them did!! Shortly after the trial, Roy and Carolyn lost their store because black people wouldn't shop there anymore. Roy's brother J.W.Milam ended up losing his farm because black people wouldn't work for him anymore, and he couldn't afford to pay white cotton pickers. When the bank wouldn't approve him for a loan he lost his farm. The entire community turned their backs on Bryant and Milam and they were shunned out of Mississippi. They returned years later but no one was glad to see them. Roy beat Carolyn and ran around on her for years! She didn't have any friends because no one wanted to get close to her and get shunned like she and Roy were. In 1975, at Roy and J.W brother's funeral, J.W. wife Juanita and another sister in law got into it with Carolyn at the funeral, accusing her of ruining all of their lives by her lie!! Even after she left Roy, she lived in hiding. Everytime people discovered who she was, she was hounded by people, by the media and her property was vandalized. She has been moving around and hiding out for years!! Last year she was found in Bowling Green, Kentucky living in a small apartment with her son. She is 88 years old and dying with cancer. She probably won't live to see the end of the year.

    • @rucianapollard7098
      @rucianapollard7098 Рік тому

      It wasn't that they didn't care that he was someone's child! They never saw him as human!! How could they?? The things that they did to him were outright Santanic!! Both of his wrists were broken, one of his thigh bones was broken, an ear had been cut off, an eye gouged out the bridge of his nose had been chopped, his teeth had been knocked out, and they took an ax and chopped down through the top of his head!! The unimaginable thing is that after all of that, Emmett was still alive!! One of the men, Roy Bryant said they had planned to "dump" Emmett off at the hospital, but he was so far gone that Milam shot him in his head to, "put the son of a b***h out of his misery!!" Roy Bryant actually said that!!
