Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it. Yes I completely agree. I would not purchase the 2022 model as it is a completely different car. This one is sporty and rugged. 💪 The 70mai worked well in my last incident. So I can’t switch now. Haha.
I still cannot get over how Honda made a new gen hybrid SUV longer than the RAV4 but failed to engineer to hold a spare tire. Several tire technicians told me unless absolutely necessary, never use a tire inflator kit for several reasons. I hope Honda has an OEM solution soon and/or includes in future model years.
They basically have to put that inflator in for legal reasons. I had to use it once and not only are they horrible, but both the tow truck and tire place told me that they damage the car.
@@CINIMA If a vehicle does not have a spare, I won't buy it. I agree, it is ridiculous that vehicles come without a spare. In fact, I am buying the non-hybrid CR-V for the spare tire reason.
@@SardoBob my BMW doesn’t have a spare, it has run flats…this tire repair kit is there just to, hopefully, get you to a tire shop, same principal as the run flats.
To each his own, but I can't remember the last car I owned where I got a flat tire. Admittedly I don't drive through housing construction zones or off road, but I don't even carry my tire inflator pump in any car. I have had more problems with batteries going flat.
Awesome video, man! You're right tho - not a lot of beneficial 2023 CRV vids up yet.I love my new CRV - got the Sport Hybrid. Kinda wish I'd sprung for the Sport Hybrid Touring with the bigger touchscreen and Bose system. I'm at less than 500 miles so MPG really can't be measured yet - currently seeing around 38mpg on the current fill up. Love your explanation of the regenerative braking - the dealer didn't explain it at all. Did want to point out that ACC is ADAPTIVE Cruise Control, not Accelerated. Looking forward to your chrome delete video - my model has black everything except for the chrome window trim for some reason. Thinking matte black to match the pillars. Anyway, thanks for the video!
Thank you! Oh yes adaptive haha. Slip up. Currently blacking out my emblems! Video soon. And ill vinyl the window trim. I wish they had a blackout version. Chrome is so 2000s
Also, if you plan a long trip and feel the need for a spare tire ( not a bad thing ) you can buy a regular temporary spare and a jack to carry. Often those can be picked up at a salvage yard for cheap. Ask your Honda parts guy what size you need.
No BS, but I learned so much from this video! It's so cool how the car does the regenerative breaking. And I like how you described the accelerated cruise control.
I agree. Out of all the videos I have seen on the CRV Hybrid Touring, this is the first one to fully explain the regenerative breaking and the accelerated cruise control.
The bumper plug idea looks good! I doubt the dealer will give you a new bumper unfortunately. Thanks for the video, I have a 21 on lease and I'm considering if I should just keep mine or upgrade to the 24' next spring.
In B mode you can use throttle to decrease regeneration. Just push throttle in delicately to slow down slower and let off the throttle to slow down faster. Also, using the brake pedal causes regeneration until you max out the green bar. At that point the brakes are applied without higher levels of regeneration.
The plugs look better than the holes. Maybe leave it in case you need to have the front tag. I do like Honda's touch up paint container. When the engine engages, is it like the auto stop function? You can hear it engaging like you pressed the strat button.
I've been reading that people have been getting horrible gas mileage with this new hybrid CRV. What are you experiencing, what's your best and worst MPG that you've tracked so far?
Yeah he's in a warm place it looks like anyone in a cold climates is getting about 28 overall whereas I know RAV4 hybrid owners getting 43 in warm and 39 to 40 overall in cold. That's a 12mpg difference in something that's brand new vs RAV4 been around in same model for 4 years. Hopefully Honda gets better
@@Nobodyreallyatall car computers aren't accurate. Manufacturers rig all of them to look better . If u track fill-up to fill-up your actual you'll know how much your getting. @@sharkharkToyota is on its 4 th generation hybrid system. This is the second gen for Honda. If maybe they had doubled the size of the battery you could use it longer. Rav4 has 1.4 kw vs 1.1 for Honda.
How can you argue when it's a state requirement for cars sold on their lot to have a front license plate? I'm looking at the CR-V as a replacement for my Accord, Very informative video, thanks for sharing
My splash guards, cargo tray, body side moldings, door edge film and door sill film just arrived today from College Hills Honda. The splash guards are necessary because I live in NY where we have to deal with those salt and snow in winters. I hope they look good. I'd see if I can install them myself.
Honda is saying B is for engine breaking. Which you would use going down hill. I assume this replaces shifting to low gears which you would do with a normal transmission.
I'm surprised the dealer didn't tell you about no spare tire (one of the first things they told me). I have not purchased yet, but I have mixed feelings about that. But I do like the '23 Hybrid Touring overall - a very sharp-looking vehicle.
Same thing happened when I got mine from dealership drill a hole for the plate but they won’t do nothing about it soo I bought a license plate delete for a Subaru WRX and looks great u should buy one
Definitely make dealer fix bumber holes - Funnel if no one commented yet is also for emergency gas fill if you happen to run out of gas and need roadside fill.
Was glad to see a video like this. I've owned mine for almost a month with about 2,000 miles on it. I wondered if you had any issues with Android auto/ apple car play? Sometimes mine works great and sometimes it says my phone isn't compatible when it's a new phone.
I got my brand new CRV EXL 2023 ( January 2023) now about 1400 miles. The first time connecting with Apple car play is very good, every time I start the car, it automatically connects my iPhone with the audio system and turn on WAZE app, and playing the channel music that I chose in iHeart app before I turn off engine. But about 3,4 days ago, sometimes I started the car, the WAZE app not show up on screen, or the channel music not turn on. If I drove about 5,7 minutes I opened WAZE app, it showed my car still at the place I parked before and the screen froze. I have to open Maps app or Google Maps app instead using WAZE app. Others times, when I start the car, I heard the music from the radio, not from the music app in my iPhone😮. I checked, my iPhone not connected with audio system. Iam busy, so not find out what went wrong 🤔🥺. Thanks for sharing your problems
Looking at maybe getting a C-RV like yours, your videos are a great resource to me. Can you make one on the sound control forward back side etc, and also the equalizer, I am sure it must have one. Wish it had a digital mirror, but can live without that.
My wife made me buy a 2023 crv honda hybrid sport touring. Don't let dealer touch anything they are usually thinking about their selves. I put a louder horn, crossbars, mud flaps side mouldings, different rear view mirror that opens garage doors, cargo cover and trailer hitch and wiring for trailer plugs in plug and play and cargo liner, glad she talked me into it it's black with black interior and black wheels, got a comment from young guy at Sam's he said it looked good and as high as gas is glad i got a hybrid.😮
The #1 topgun RAV4 is set for a massive redesign in 2024. I’m thinking I’ll wait for it. The internal ergonomics should be vastly improved along with noise reduction and it will be bigger with more power than the CRV. You’re CRV is bitch’n dude! 👍
About brakes (not "breaks"). I'm going to use some words differently than usual, to make this clearer. I'll use the words in all caps to make it clear I want you to read these meanings: SLOWING = any action that slows the car. You have friction slowing and regen slowing. BRAKING = pressing the brake pedal to achieve slowing. COASTING = releasing the accelerator pedal to achieve slowing. Honda hybrids use what is called "blended BRAKING." The brake pedal is connected to a computer, and that computer decides how to mix friction and regen to get the amount of SLOWING you want. In general, it will use as much regen as is possible and safe, since (I think, the CR-V has AWD) it applies to only the front wheels. But you can also get SLOWING by COASTING. This will only be regen, and how much you get depends on how many times you have clicked the paddles. The result is that you can get as much regen with BRAKING as you can with COASTING, but only if you don't push the brake pedal down so far that the computer decides it needs to add friction. This can be hard to do. You can train yourself how much this means by trying to use just COASTING. Or, just rely on the paddles as much as possible. You actually should have a third method for SLOWING. I think it needs "B mode," but I can't swear that it works this way since I drive the Accord. It isn't actually necessary to have a "B Mode," and the Accord does this without it (but only if you have clicked the paddles at least once). It's good old-fashioned engine braking. If the battery becomes full going down a long hill, you will all lose regen SLOWING. What the CR-V will do - in B mode only, I assume - is use the generated electricity and the generator-motor to drive the engine. It will rev quite a bit, and the force of turning the engine provides SLOWING.
Once again, I really appreciate your videos. I’m especially interested in your gas mileage as you drive more and more. if you would be so kind as to keep an average gas mileage tally as you move forward it would be wonderful. As far as your dealer goes, it definitely doesn’t seem like they pay attention to detail, it sucks to have such a poor experience. when I purchased my 2022 CRV. I noticed a couple of scratches in the back tailgate and they said they were unable to buff them out so they took the car and repainted the entire tailgate. the answer was we will do whatever it takes to make it right
Thank you! At least they repainted. Mine made me paint on my own haha. Last tank i did 393 miles on. (50 remaining). 36.6 MPG. Current full range is 470 ish. (Always based off previous MPG) Im getting between 35-37 consistently now. Its advertised as 37 combined. I really wished it was a 16 gallon tank instead of 14. I don’t understand why they didn’t. All this fuel efficiency to get a little better total range. But if they kept the tank standard. I could do 500 miles easy between fill ups.
Yes I'm concerned about real life mpg so far I've read real owners tell bad stories of getting nowhere near the EPA often getting high 20s which is almost same as gas version whereas RAV4 hybrid owners say it gets better than epa
Thanks, trying to decide between the CRV and Rav4 so it’s good to see a nonreviewer view of the car. I live in a very hilly area and I wonder how the regenerative breaking would work.
I’m doing the same comparison except nobody has the RAV4 on the lot and the used ones, 2021&22, are selling for the full sticker price as the 2023 model. The driving experience is the same as driving a Tacoma p/u. Whereas the CRV is more car like. Yes the Toyota system which couples and uncouples starts and stops is the more efficient unit . Toyota put its electric motor on the back axle making them all 4 wheel drive. The dealers around here are all back ordered and production is slow. Honda has bunches of CRV hybrids on the lit with frequent deliveries.
Any issues with the roof rack and the moonroof clearance/usability once ya put attachments on the cross rails? ie Yakima or Thule attachments. Thanks and keep up the great work
Nice VDO. Thanks for sharing. I have been driving 2 CRVs total for 24 years now. It's time and need to upgrade. Would you mind to let me know how far apart between roof cross bars? if you measure from front of the front of cross bar to front of the back cross bar, that should give me the center to center. I am greatly appreciate your help. I am looking forward to your next VDO. Thank you so much
If you buy a new crv go with the hybrid since it get the 2 litter engine instead of the 1.5 turbo with oil dilution problems if I were you if those crvs lasted that long you must be doing something right keep them
The giant gear shifter boggles the mind. It's a small vehicle with a small center console for your phone, etc. Why not utilize a giant shifter to take up tons of space? I've loved Honda/Acura vehicles for quite a while but am really scratching my head at the '23 CRV and '23 Accord design choices.
HI, you seemed pretty knowledgeable about the vehicle. I just got a 24 CR-V hybrid touring , lot to learn about it. Do you know if the 2.0 l engine is a timing chain or a wet belt ? I've looked and looked and I can't find an answer. Thanks
Any car will look nicer without front plates.😊 If you purchase a car in a state where the front place is required then chances are they will put on in the front as the dealer doesn't want to be liable. Now if you had a custom car made for you then they shouldn't be drilling in holes but you would have to mention it yourself prior to it reaching the dealership as they're the one that are installing that bracket. At this point you won't be able to fight this with your dealership. I do agree with you that most Teslas don't have this in the front but to me it just all depends if you want to be left alone or not. I've been pulled over before for front plates. I had to get it corrected. I don't want to deal with it anymore and my car isn't a show car so I could care less. The most I would do tho is to install a magnetic plate holder so that you could easily put it on and off when you want. Like for longer trips or so put it on or so. Yeah it's annoying that front plates are even required but I I'm not willing to move out of my state so I don't have a choice. 😊
@@DrHondaCRV it's been a while. Yes it's rare that it does happen but I just don't want to be pulled over and then citing me for my tinted windows or so as well which would even be more costly. Your license plate situation reminded me of when I had a custom built 2005 G35 6MT couple built. I waited 3 months for it and for it to show up with the license plate holder in the front. I was upset and not only that it was crooked as well. I did reach out to the dealership on this and they were willing to repair and repaint my bumper but I didn't want to deal with it. I wanted the original paint as well. I didn't want to spend anymore time having this fixed too. Honestly it just comes down to the dealership. Some know better not to put plate holders up in the front for unique cars but for common cars like the CR-V it's just another car to them. The best thing to avoid this from happening is to work with your dealership ahead of time prior to the car getting to their lot. I made this mistake with my G35 and forgot to do this. Either way it could take one idiot not paying attention or so to not read any notes and do as they usually do when new cars come in.
Judging by the center info screen I am assuming this is the Sport Touring Hybrid trim - Yes? What does irk me is that the lower Sport Hybrid trim, while very well equipped comes with a relatively tiny center screen and no XM radio. But paying a whopping $6,000+ extra for the Touring trim is ridiculous! Yes you get AWD (don’t care, don’t need), and that larger should-be-at-base-tim level 9” screen, but the other extras (heated steering wheel, rear auto-up windows, memory driver seat, etc.) to me is just not worth that extra $$$. The new CRV hybrid is a huge improvement but a few major misses for the lower trim that are pretty much standard on many other makes in this price range.
The 2024 CRV Sport-L Hybrid, one step below the Touring, has that larger infotainment screen and satellite radio. Initially it irked me on my 2023 Sport Hybrid, but realized it's not really necessary because we're plugging our phone into the car whenever we're in it. I enjoy my SiriusXM and navigation right through the CarPlay.
Next video will most likely be on chrome deletion for window trim and emblems :) Comment here if you’d like anything else checked out ! Subscribe for that CRV content 😂🎉❤
Little disappointed on the average MPG. My buddy has a new Rav4 Hybrid and hes been getting consistantly 43.2 MPG on his tank for the last 10k miles. He lives in SoCal also. His communte is from Anaheim to Lake Forest, 21 mile communte. He basically said he never gets below 40 MPG. Really like the looks of the new CRV and the space. I need a new vehicle but I think I will wait for the next gen Rav4 since it will be bigger than the out going model and still be more fuel efficient than the CRV.
@@DrHondaCRV In NZ I’m getting 17km / Litre. About 40 US mpg. I think if you’re only touring and touring on twisty hilly roads, you’ll be down to 34. I have a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Hybrid.
@@johnmartin7158 yup. Also cold weather will affect mpg. That’s why I listed my friends commute. No twisty roads good socal weather. I consistently ask my buddy about his mpg. He sends me a screen shots right before he fills up. Never fell below 40 mpg. Has 12k miles on his rav4. But it’s no surprise here. Toyotas have the best hybrids out there. Been producing them since 1997…
Think of it this way, quality materials are heavy and reduce mpg (That’s why Lexus gets low mpg than Toyota). I get 42mpg on my rav too but would gladly exchange it for more premium Crv for 37mpg!
Good luck getting the dealer to replace the bumper because you want to break state law - I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer is required to do so by the state before delivery.
Thanks for sharing I only have 1 concern with my CR-V when I turn the heat on it does not heat my feet, it does on the passenger side only, so I just want to make sure is for everybody not just me. I will appreciate is you can answer.
I was looking at this car but the technology seems to behind its competitors. The infotainment screen is smaller than the industry standard for the class of vehicle and I could not find a model with a 360 camera. Apart from those two items, it seems to be a great car but time will tell.
Like you, I was also disappointed at the lack of tech and features on this CRV, I ended up buying a Santa Fe hybrid limited trim and the vehicle is awesome in comparison.
Unfortunately my CR-V does not have roof rails so that will add $300 to the cost of the roof rack for me. We need the space, carrying more than 2 people really limits the amount of "stuff" we can bring with.
We just bought the hybrid sport and it's a really nice car, but for me it's underpowered (that was the point of getting it though) and I find it noisy. It's my wife's car so she could care less about the power and is happy to put around in eco mode. She also said she is not bothered by the noise like I am. Not cabin or road noise, it's good in that regard. But rather engine noise; a faint whistle from the electric motor and the gas sounds like a radiator fan on high. We also added roof crossbars for the aesthetic really I think they look good.
Hi Zotzot, do we need to come to a full stop to change from D mode to B mode for regenerative and vice versa? How difference driving in D mode vs. B mode? If you could make a short video on that, it would be great. Thanks
Bought one yesterday, good tips in here! My one complaint is all the stupid programmed noises over the speakers, like the fake shifting engine sounds and the reverse noise. I would be fine with a super silent car, 'quiet' is part of how they sell the hybrid idea, but they don't tell you they force on all these gimmick sounds. At least the backup noise is regulated though that isn't honda's fault.
Yea backup is regulated. Unless you’re in sport mode. There shouldn’t be any fake shifting noises. Its not a sports car. So i wish they would have left those out as well. I wonder if it can be turned off in settings.
I mean the hybrid noises only come up when you're driving in low speeds they are very quiet especially once you get up to speed I personally have the last gen crv the hybrid system is very smooth you can't really tell when it's using engine or hybrid when it's switching in between it
Compated to the last gen CR-V, this much better with big windows, less complicated front looks and rear lights copy of Volvo is better this time. Hope this is more capable on the road
I think the holes look rugged... honestly I'm about to buy either a 2020-2021 CRV or Passport. I want to save on gas so I'm thinking the CRV, but I'm also 6'3 and want to be able to bring a kayak and the CRV is not good for towing anything unlike the RAV4. I could get the Passport EXL for like $33K but the CRV is like $27K
On this hybrid touring, how many times a month do you gas up? I currently have a 2019 crv & definitely looking to upgrade to this hybrid. Thanks for your videos, they are helpful👍
Welcome! Well it depends on your drive. But you can expect around 450 miles a tank. You can hit 500 if you’re very conservative or drive in traffic all the time. I fill every 10-12 days. But my work commute is long some days.
Seems like the mpg is low for a hybrid. I have a 2019 Subaru Forester, non hybrid, and I routinely get 32 mpg. I would expect a hybrid SUV should get close to 40.
A hybrid is a significantly heavier vehicle and it's a big heavy suv and it would only make sense to buy a hybrid if you do a lot of stop and go traffic/ city driving I have a crv once I go into the highway the gas goes down fast
Nice job on the review bro. Thinking of getting one because it was between this and Toyota. The Rav4s need an interior facelift and the dealers price gouging to drop. Honda, here I come lol
Hey - I just got the OEM crossbars in and for some reason my rear crossbar is too long. Not sure if I’m totally missing something here but the front bar went on fine. The rear bar won’t even remotely fit. I thought maybe I had the wrong ones on, but the front one definitely was way too long for the rear. Did you have any difficulty or resistance putting in the rear bar?
What’s the lowest you let the mile range numbers go down before filling up. This is my first week I let it get down to a predicted 20 miles left. The gas gauge last bar was on red and I got worried so I filled up but there was still 2 gallons of gas left. I probably could’ve gone well over 500 miles on a tank of gas
Great video! Your plugs look good on the front bumper, kinda like some sensors. Can you please tell me if your car has automatic rear braking when reversing?

I looked into this further and found that new Hondas do have this new feature called Low Speed Braking. I think this can be turned on or off from the menu.
Hopefully your paint holds up I've never seen a brand with more vehicles on the road with horrible roofs that look like acid. I've seen grey 2023 HRV videos on tiktok that show the paint peeling on many vehicles
I was test driving the vehicle this past weekend. My concern is will the battery need to be replaced at some point. What I read online was about 100000 or 10 years. Then I asked the dealership how much to replace the batteries they did not want to tell me. Which that was a red flag I went to their service and parts department and then I got the news $6200
Honestly interior quality. Rav4 seats are hard and the design is 4-5 years old. Cx5 just looked more basic to me. Both felt more plasticy compared to the CRV. CRV also just had more interior and trunk space. The new dash also looks super awesome 😎.
I would say the rav4 and cx5 are pretty comparable in terms of size and engine both have 2.5 litter engine but the cx5 has a 5 or 6 speed auto compared to the rav4 with a cvt which does land the rav4 with better mpgs but if you're more into sporty driving go Honda or Mazda Mazda gives good value for money their interiors do feel more premium but you can kinda tell when they cheap out but for the money it ain't bad also they have well isolated interiors when it comes to what feels more upscale the venza and cx5 are comparable venza having a Lexus like interior cx5 feeling upscale overall it's up to you and what you value and look for

Could you do a video explaining the tires. Did you get a spare? I just got my crv 2023 sport touring hybrid yesterday Also, what does EV mode mean? Lol😅
There is no spare tire, just a inflation kit in the back left. EV mode means running solely on the battery! no gas., Ill try to touch on it in the next video!

In B mode you can use throttle to decrease regeneration. Just push throttle in delicately to slow down slower and let off the throttle to slow down faster. Also, using the brake pedal causes regeneration until you max out the green bar. At that point the brakes are applied without higher levels of regeneration.
I don't think he is using "B" properly. I don't understand it either
The plugs look better than the holes. Maybe leave it in case you need to have the front tag.
I do like Honda's touch up paint container.
When the engine engages, is it like the auto stop function? You can hear it engaging like you pressed the strat button.
No it comes on n off seamlessly. No clunk or pings like a regular transmission.
Yes. The little plugs look stylish
Thank you - a lot of stuff I would not have thought about!
I've been reading that people have been getting horrible gas mileage with this new hybrid CRV. What are you experiencing, what's your best and worst MPG that you've tracked so far?
So far I get 33-34mpg average according to the car computer
Yeah he's in a warm place it looks like anyone in a cold climates is getting about 28 overall whereas I know RAV4 hybrid owners getting 43 in warm and 39 to 40 overall in cold. That's a 12mpg difference in something that's brand new vs RAV4 been around in same model for 4 years. Hopefully Honda gets better
@@Nobodyreallyatall car computers aren't accurate. Manufacturers rig all of them to look better . If u track fill-up to fill-up your actual you'll know how much your getting. One time I went by the computer and lost almost 50km vs the projected. The computer claimed I got 550km but my records shows 500.

Welcome! Thank you 🙏
How can you argue when it's a state requirement for cars sold on their lot to have a front license plate? I'm looking at the CR-V as a replacement for my Accord, Very informative video, thanks for sharing
Thank you 🙏
My splash guards, cargo tray, body side moldings, door edge film and door sill film just arrived today from College Hills Honda. The splash guards are necessary because I live in NY where we have to deal with those salt and snow in winters. I hope they look good. I'd see if I can install them myself.
Nice! The installation pdfs are on their website
Very informative, thank you. Ours should be ready by the end of the month.
Honda is saying B is for engine breaking. Which you would use going down hill. I assume this replaces shifting to low gears which you would do with a normal transmission.
My boy you just made my day I was about to pay extra at the dealership but I can do it myself..
Super easy! Glad to hear.

Hi there! Thanks for the videos, new subscriber here! 1 Question??? are you getting more wind noise with the cross bars on?
I haven’t noticed any difference! Had em for months now
Thanks. This is actually very helpful as I’ve had the crv on my list.
14:55 yeahh the echo makes me feel like I'm driving a space ship. Every time i hear it in public, i instinctively look for it lol
I'm surprised the dealer didn't tell you about no spare tire (one of the first things they told me). I have not purchased yet, but I have mixed feelings about that. But I do like the '23 Hybrid Touring overall - a very sharp-looking vehicle.
Great video! Please show us how to use the cargo area air pump to fill a bicycle tire? Nice work.
Had that issue initially, but it turns out that we have to have a legit Apple (or Android) phone charger cord -- don't try using cheap generic ones.
Very interested in your experience with your car. Please keep your experiences, mileage and thoughts coming. Thank You 😊
Thank you! Will do
Looking at maybe getting a C-RV like yours, your videos are a great resource to me.
Niceeee! Id love to see it. Sounds awesome
The #1 topgun RAV4 is set for a massive redesign in 2024. I’m thinking I’ll wait for it. The internal ergonomics should be vastly improved along with noise reduction and it will be bigger with more power than the CRV.
You’re CRV is bitch’n dude! 👍
Thank you! I look forward to seeing the new rav!
About brakes (not "breaks"). I'm going to use some words differently than usual, to make this clearer. I'll use the words in all caps to make it clear I want you to read these meanings:
SLOWING = any action that slows the car.
(Always based off previous MPG)
Im getting between 35-37 consistently now.
Charges up nicely going down.
Toyota RAV not available.
You have to put your name on a list.
Any issues with the roof rack and the moonroof clearance/usability once ya put attachments on the cross rails? ie Yakima or Thule attachments. Thanks and keep up the great work
I have yet to add anything on top, but its not the highest car. im sure it wouldnt fit in my garage though, i have a low door.
by the way where did you buy the bugflector? thanks
Hey man. Those scratches inside the door come from a person trying to breath into your car. They go at that angle to hit the unlock button.
Thank you so much
If you buy a new crv go with the hybrid since it get the 2 litter engine instead of the 1.5 turbo with oil dilution problems if I were you if those crvs lasted that long you must be doing something right keep them
I dont have a tape measure, but the college honda website should say the distance on the installation instructions
Very informative video! Thank you
What trim is your CR-V? Touring? I noticed the sunroof.
All the Hybrid trims, whether Sport or Touring, have the sunroof.
Haha. I love it. I wouldn’t have bought it , if there was just buttons again. I’ve seen bigger
Did they give you a fine? Or just a fix it ticket?
B mode is not for regenerative braking. It is for using the engine as a brake on steep down grades to prevent the brakes from overheating
Theres a downhill assist button for that
Sounds like you are in CA like me with the comment about the front plate requirement with Teslas galore without one.
Great video!! Thx. I can't seem to find a hood deflector for the Hybrid....is the one you have installed for the EX/EX-L models?
Next video will most likely be on chrome deletion for window trim and emblems :)

SoCal has perfect weather and perfect conditions for Lithium Ion electrified vehicles to maximize efficiency. We aren't so lucky in the Midwest.
Idk. My friend who has a rav4 2022 hybrid only gets 34 consistently.
@@DrHondaCRV In NZ I’m getting 17km / Litre. About 40 US mpg. I think if you’re only touring and touring on twisty hilly roads, you’ll be down to 34. I have a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Hybrid.

There's probably no floor vent on the floor of the driver side or try cranking up the fan speed and see if there a difference
Please continue making these updates on CR-V hybrid.
Unfortunately my CR-V does not have roof rails so that will add $300 to the cost of the roof rack for me. We need the space, carrying more than 2 people really limits the amount of "stuff" we can bring with.
The bumper holes are for aerodynamics. Less drag. You should thank the dealer!
LOL
We just bought the hybrid sport and it's a really nice car, but for me it's underpowered (that was the point of getting it though) and I find it noisy. It's my wife's car so she could care less about the power and is happy to put around in eco mode. She also said she is not bothered by the noise like I am. Not cabin or road noise, it's good in that regard. But rather engine noise; a faint whistle from the electric motor and the gas sounds like a radiator fan on high. We also added roof crossbars for the aesthetic really I think they look good.
There's a way to minimize that noise, a quick UA-cam search will lead you in the right direction
Hi Zotzot, do we need to come to a full stop to change from D mode to B mode for regenerative and vice versa? How difference driving in D mode vs. B mode? If you could make a short video on that, it would be great. Thanks
I will make a video. No need to stop. Can change whenever you’re driving. D seems to be more fuel efficient so far
I mean the hybrid noises only come up when you're driving in low speeds they are very quiet especially once you get up to speed I personally have the last gen crv the hybrid system is very smooth you can't really tell when it's using engine or hybrid when it's switching in between it
Great tip about the front plate. Thanks
Compated to the last gen CR-V, this much better with big windows, less complicated front looks and rear lights copy of Volvo is better this time. Hope this is more capable on the road
Excellent review. Can you do a review of the cruise control/lane keep? That would be a fun one
Yea sure! I need to figure out a filming rig so i can do it safely while driving.

The rear bar won’t even remotely fit. I thought maybe I had the wrong ones on, but the front one definitely was way too long for the rear.
Did you have any difficulty or resistance putting in the rear bar?
No, ! it fit perfectly !, I think they sent you the incorrect piece, or maybe for a different year?
What’s the lowest you let the mile range numbers go down before filling up. This is my first week I let it get down to a predicted 20 miles left. The gas gauge last bar was on red and I got worried so I filled up but there was still 2 gallons of gas left. I probably could’ve gone well over 500 miles on a tank of gas

In 10 years, batteries will be different - and cheaper.
The college link isn’t working. Do you have another website?
Have you been able to figure out if you can turn off the sound when reversing?
No luck with that. I think its legal requirement. Cant change
It's a speaker. It's under the black plastic cover under the hood behind the radiator, next to the horn. It's a small plug and is easy to disconnect.
What made you chose this model vs rav4, venza hybrid or the cx5? I’m looking to get a hybrid suv and your videos have me leaning towards the crv
