I feel genuinely sorry for the guys, because what some "fans" do and say is just insane. And they don't deserve it, no one does. The main focus should be their art. Both for us fans and them. I'm not sure of the reason why there's so much toxic people in the fanbase, but I kinda have a theory. I hope that the situation will calm down and soon. Wouldn't want for the band to stop what they're doing because of some psycho girls. Pure madness
I couldn’t agree more I just saw them at Kattfest on the 12th for my birthday first rock concert I’ve ever been too. I’m in my early 30s I’ve never really understood the whole fangirl thing. Yes, I loved story of the year, taking back Sunday, The used, Nine inch nails, Bush, Live, AFI and the list goes on as my older sister hit my into rock/alternative/metal. However, I am a psychology major with dual classes in behavioral analysis and nonverbal communication. I’m perplexed by this whole ideology really. I would have loved to have met Bad Omens and I guess I am behind in times. What I saw was very young girls basically wearing the least amount of clothes. I was rocking a tee and short that didn’t ride up my ass. Music is art and for me careful what you wish for means so much more to me than anyone will ever know as my father committed suicide. I love their music and would have just thanked them for being who they are and extremely talented. I met (catch your breath) they are from my home state never had heard them. I thought they were amazing, as well as humble and kind. There was a small line to take pictures the girl in front of me heard the security guard say there’s the birthday girl we had been in the VIP section and she asked if I’d take the picture for her. As we chatted I assumed she was older due to her lack of clothes. She asked how old I turned I told her 34 and I asked her how old she was 17 then said I’m gonna ask the guitarist if I can kiss him on the cheek. I told her good luck, but I didn’t think that was a good idea. I watched as she begged as he was trying to kindly tell her HELL NO I have a girlfriend. I yelled I got you’re picture. Walked up next got a thank you, hug and fist bump. Just be aware that regardless of what their JOB is they are human and have lives too. With all that said I can completely understand why bad omens feels the way they do I got to see it first hand. I posted some of the videos I got from my personal experience only to have it saved, taken and turned into this same crap…FANS DO BETTER!!!! But hey what do I know I’m gen-x/millennial 🤣😂
I totally feel the same way; I'm on the facebook group for BO and most of the posts makes me uncomfortable because of how obsessive some fans are. I'm old enough to have known the ''boys bands'' in the 90s and it's saddly similar. One even commented she had a BO themed BEDROOM ffs. I really enjoy Bad Omens' music, I feel they could become a monument, if only people would give them space to create and have a healthy life on their side. I'm scared the band will quit if they have to deal with too many freaks, which I would totally get...
been listening to them since 2018, was already expecting they would be bigger but never thought it would be THAT big. it makes me happy more bands getting success
Absolutely! When tdopom came out I was so confused it didn’t get that much attention… but then suddenly they were everywhere!! I love that they’re finally getting the recognition they deserve, imo tdopom is one of the best albums ever
Same. Listened to them just before their second album came out. I kind of got the impression that they were just another band making metalcore music like everyone else. BOY, OH BOY!
I had never heard of them until Just Pretend and I decided to look their stuff up. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, I HAVE BEEN SLEEPING ON THEM! The voice, the lyrics, the music! Amazing!
When it comes to Bad Omens I'm "that guy". I remember seeing them on that first 10 years in the black tour. It's crazy to think I saw them that early and have followed them through to this day. The mixing of OG fans and Tiktok fans is the most accurate thing ever. Just saw them a few days ago and the put kept trying to open up but you had a bunch of Tiktok girls getting pissed and their boyfriends trying to start fights with people making the pit. Noah is literally on the stage telling the crowd to open the fucking pit but the "new" fans were still yelling to cut it out and trying to stop it.
I feel like the ENTIRE culture of like rock-metal-goth-emo and all that stuff has become so popular that its lost most of its meaning and, I hate to be that guy, has created a ton of posers. Now people get into it only for the popularity. I feel so so so bad for everyone who was bullied for being themselves when they were younger. Only to have a ton of people worship them later in life and try to fake their identity to get likes and clicks. Its nuts, never thought I'd be gatekeeping something but its kinda sad to see.
What the actual fuck. My son LOVES these guys and has for a few years now. I wanted to take him to a show but if it's anything like you described then I feel it's best to skip that.
The Bad Omens fanbase is a weird mixture of OG fans and the Tiktok fans. OG fans want to hear the old stuff and go crazy when "Dethrone" plays but TikTok fans get scared and just wanted to sing along to "Just Pretend"
The versatility of this band is incredible. Listen to Never Know unplugged and Dethrone live at the barricade. Also they sound amazing live, I've seen them twice in February and really wanna see them again!
Wow I honestly wasn't expecting the second half of this video... I'm fairly new to Bad Omens and got the impression the fans are mostly pretty chill and friendly. Seems there's some very different fans out there and I hope those interactions stay at a minimum for me 😅
Noah and the complete band are insanely talented and they just hit massive with the entire album even better their live performances are insanely good and noahs voice is just perfect live
I absolutely respect bands who aren’t afraid to play different genre’s or blend one genre with an other one. I like bands like: Northlane, Bad Omens, BMtH I Previal and Sleep Token these are probably the most listened bands this year.
I'm not even a huge fan but I have a copy of FInding God on the Gold/Clear released in 2019 and I went through a short spell where I got a shitload of emails on discogs asking me to sell. It made me realize.... most bands early material ends up in the collections of people who typically don't end up becoming long term followers.
They really proved the “ThEy SoUnD LiKe BrInG mE tHe HoRiZoN” people wrong, matter fact (and this is no hate or disrespect to BMTH, love those guys) but I think I’d have to say I like these guys more just a little bit
@@xangrycatmanx5104 for someone who ranted about Bad Omens selling out in another, you seem to forget that BMTH technically did exactly what you explained in that comment: added pop elements and got big from it. So are BMTH sellouts to you?
@@vulpes3018 You're the same type of person to refer to all metal as "screamo". Listen to Bad Omens' latest LP and BMTH's. The difference is world's apart. Unless you're a full on chin dribbler which you probably are.
so much for people to treat people like people not like deities... I guarantee you, if you see this guy on the street he'll appreciate a ''Hey dude, nice job with your music'' and ending it there far more than a psycho stalking and fanboying over him.
I love bad omens, but i think some of the fans are weird I've been to some of their shows and watch girls try to grab on Noahs legs and junk and i literally moved their hands and told them that type of stuff make him uncomfortable. I love a lot of bands and have learned a lot of fans do things that make the bands especially singers very uncomfortable and don't respect boundaries or privacy. Its great your a fan of any band or musician but please respect them they people just like us and that's how they want to be seen.
When Bad Omens came out, I remember jokingly posting a comment that it's great that we Bad Omens as a back up just in case we lost our Bring Me To The Horizon. Spotify started putting them in my rotation and only recently realized they were the same band I heard while ago. I thought their new stuff was a completely different band. Their album The Death Of Peace of Mind has some great songs. The song What it Costs (#5) and LIke A Villian (#6) sound great. Congrats to them for finding a path. That's all you can really ask for in life.
yea, i've been a fan since fgbgfm unplugged and i must say that the fanbase is indeed a bit "interesting" - babying them like they aren't goddamn adults, invading their privacy, putting words in their mouth and just generally crossing the line. And I'm not blaming only tiktok fans, which seems to be the trend here. there was weird shit happening even before they blew up on tiktok, that platform definitely amplified the effect but wasn't the only thing to cause it. On the other hand though there's a lot of chill people just enjoying the music and the memes
They put on such a great show. Saw them open for ADTR, had no clue who they were. Went to their merch tent immediately after to get a t-shirt and the line was 60+ people long. Looked like they earned lots of fans at that one show.
Found them out just before TDOPOM came out, they were still not that much well known on the scene though. My girl listened to them from back in 2016 but I was too much into prog metal to be interested in something as simple as metalcore, especially american metalcore (yeah, talk about a metal elitist...) Saw them in EU/UK this february/march, and although I already knew how the fans acted online, I have to say the entire venue was super chill, nice and all shows were absolutely amazing. We had some super cool moments in the pit, and both support acts were amazing at warming up, + super nice guys when you talked to them. Sure some fans waited for them at the end of the show (happens to every band...) and I've heard rumors about stalking, but the crew members seemed more distressed about it than the actual band members. Anyway, it's a bit sad the reactions of the fans is what people will remember from this video, instead of the amazing growth the band had in a few months only. They blew up so fast that when they organized their EU/UK tour they had to book small venues, and when the tour came out they had to move everything to bigger venues and add shows, changing the entire schedule as late as the first week of the tour. Mindblowing. Next time they'll come here, they'll have to book a full arena tour! (hoping that they will still be famous by then, and that this is not just a tiktok trend) Also, what's amazing and should have been addressed here: the band themselves try to handle/organize everything, from booking a tour to selling their merch on their own website. Noah stated multiple times on interviews that he studied finance/financial markets to manage this band, probably not to be scammed by labels, venues or tour managers. They're already redirecting everyone to their website instead of the label's website any time there's a question about merch/tour tickets, and their crew handle customer support from what I understood. They're not very happy with Sumerian Records as a whole, but don't want to switch to another label as their next move would be to become independant. So once they're big enough, there's a good chance they'll try to cut tie with Sumerian and will produce everything themselves, hopefully for the better.
They started out as just a BMTH sounding band, and then found their own sound and it sounds great. Plus the man can kill it live when it comes to how good his singing is live.
It's been a strange ride watching them grow. I got really into Bad Omens right before they released FGBGFM. I've seen plenty of my favorite bands get bigger and bigger over the years and I've always had a sense of pride for having been a fan for so long but still being proud of the band for reaching new people. The Bad Omens blow up really got my blood boiling though. Obviously I'm happy that they're making music true to themselves and selling out shows but this new tiktok fanbase makes me wanna gatekeep every band I have ever loved just in case. Not that all people who found out about them through tiktok is shitty, but a lot of this hyper-obsessive, aggressive, and just weird behavior comes from there. I can hardly imagine thinking of Noah as more than "fucking rad vocalist and songwriter, miss his long hair but love the new look, I just wanna know what conditioner he used to use"
This video aged like fine wine when considering that Bad Omens have just completed a UK tour for Post Human with Bad Omens as the main support act, with Noah coming on stage to join in with Oli on Antivist, the two bands are just made for each other haha.
Those “fans” creating fake scenarios etc are just freaky if you like a band you support them no matter what ok but some people are just too obsessed. Great video tho love bad omens!
i love all of their albums. First song i ever heard was careful what you wish for, many years go. Noah is bloody talented with his vocals and also doing music (as seen in his live streams during covid), Jolly, nicholas Ruffilo and nick Folio are so damn talented and they all seem to be best friends
@@TragedyClub98 I am so excited to see them live at Louder than Life, have you been able to see them live yet? I completely agree, I haven't been as blown away by someone's vocals in a long time. I feel like these guys will get better and better and I can't wait to watch them succeed even more!
Back when we were in a very mid electronicore band we played a show with Bad Omens, of all the bands we played with, I've gotta say I'm surprised these guys blew up... At the time I remember thinking "talented guys, but generic" (did I mention we were an electronicore band? 'Generic' got thrown out a lot) In a way we were a little bitter (they were already much bigger than us at the time) because we'd put in a lot of effort to cultivate what we felt was a "unique" sound, and at the time what they were doing felt like the antithesis of that. Clearly though, they've had a change of approach, and kudos to them because it's doing them wonders. It's inspiring to see that they've tackled those kind of criticisms head on and come out the other end bigger than ever. Now, I think imma check out that 2022 album
They was in Birmingham Al on the 17th of May. GREAT show, Erra was great as well. Bad Omens actually told the crowd a few times "We better see a fucking pit going" great show, Noah had badass tech-ware on at the start etc etc. I Plan to see them again asap.
I got super into Bad Omens when I found out they were supporting Bring Me, so seeing them live was insane. I didn't manage to get standing tix so I didn't interact with any other fans at the front of the crowd (dw, definitely did not sit down), but my god it scares me how insane they are. I see it a little with BMTH too since Oli is quite attractive, but not to this extent. It's unhealthy and parasocial, just because Noah is quite good looking. I swear this is because of fucking tiktok (which I will shit on), and it reminds me of K-Pop stans. Just so scary and sad since their music is absolutely INSANE and that is, I'm sure, what they want to be known for more than them as individuals.
The obsessive fangirls are hella scary tbh. Like please stop 💀 As a girl I can't wear Bad Omens merch anymore. People are gonna assume I'm one of those psychopaths 😅
I stumbled on these guys in 2018 before their first album was completely released. They only had 3 songs at the time but I knew instantly they were gonna be a smash hit and started sharing them with all my friends. I have a knack for finding artists before they blow up and make it big and these guy's are one of my favorites. I didn't even expect them to blow up THIS MUCH THIS FAST but Death Of Peace Of Mind is one of the best albums of the last 20 years and absolutely deserves all the praise.
When they played in toronto, they didnt even thank the crowd for their preformance. He just said "Merch is near the front" or something like that. They were playing with Ice Nine Kills
It was kind of crazy hearing these guys back in 2016, my first impression was pretty much like "yea a few songs were pretty good" and they were enjoyable to listen to, and then hear the 2019 album and going "ok there trying something here its not as generic core as the first album there's something they want to do". To the 2022 album and going alright they nailed it. To which I will say is pretty rare at this time for bands to do I know it sounds weird but the twenty teens quite literally had a lot of one album bands come and go. So im excited these guys fought through that shit. And pretty much went full send with creativity and didn't trap themselves inside a box. For example A7X, BMTH, CTE, HU. just to name a few bands all took this leap and is the reason they have massive success today.
Imagine- creating a band. Trying SO hard to become successful and big (mentioning u want to be as big as BMTH) and then when u get big - getting pissed off at everyone for all the attention….
I went to one of the last local Warped Tours that existed in 2017 too STRICTLY to see Bad Omens, I saw them play their 20 min set, got a shirt signed, and a picture with the band. All great guys, they even gave me a free beer lmao, but I'm so happy to see my little 20 minute set warped tour bois headline arenas now. It's crazy. I hope I get too see them again some day. I'll definitely have a polaroid of the first time I met them lmao
ive seen them live 5-6 times now at this point. i saw them on the 10 years in the black tour in 2017, met them, got a picture with, and got their first album signed by them. i remember their, i assume tour manager, yelling in the concert hall "$5 for a cd, someone buy it just to shut me the fuck up" and of course i had to buy it lol it makes me so happy to see them finally get the recognition they deserve but some of these new fans need to chill the fuck out
I know is more usual than one thinks that some fans are obsesive and creepy, but sometimes it's shocking to know it can get to this extent. It's even worse knowing how young they are.. They cannot be called fans, because true fans would respect them and their art
I don't know if anyone remembers, but the way the 'crazy fans' are acting reminds me a lot of how fans treated MCR back in the day. Especially surrounding Gerard and Frank. It was just all on myspace and chatrooms instead.
I had vowed to never listen to bad omens after they dropped out of their tour with the amity affliction a handful of years ago, boy what a mistake i was making
2:35 this is why im glad i discovered them by stumbling across the video for "the death of peace of mind" and than binged the entire album before listening to anything else
Been listening to Bad Omens since their first album dropped. Knew they would blow up eventually but didn't realize they've got so big already. Just hope they continue to drop a few heavy songs on each album and don't turn into whatever BMTH is now smh.
i remeber some time in like 2018 i was at a restaurant local to my state and one of my coworker offered me to go see bad omens at some small show they were doing for free but her boyfriend messed up the date and found out it had happened the night before, but i ended up looking them on spotify when i got back home and a couple of their older stuff and didnt really keep up with them than dethrone came out sometime after and that song got me hooked on them
You can pretty much make the same video about how scary the Sleep Token fangirls are at this point too. I’ve been going to metal, punk and industrial shows for almost 25 years and the way these girls act is wild. Purposely dropping crowd surfers because it’s annoying to them & ruining their IG stories, getting pissed at barricade when people are pushing into them, etc. Just no concert etiquette & no general sense of treating bands as bands separate from the human beings in them.
their rise genuinely shocked me... i stopped listening to music/going to shows after getting tinnitus..but i saw them in 2016 i think and was mad into them they were like if BMTH was still heavy but nobody knew them besides me and then years later im watching a podcast and hear "bad omens is one of the biggest bands right now" and im like WTF ?? the bring me clone i watched make small talk with kids at the merch table a few years ago?? i mean good for them but wtf did i miss???
except the tour did sell out because of scalpers. Dallas sold out in 3 minutes and immediately tickets were posted on reseller sites for double, triple, and quadruple the prices. I'm not paying $800 for tickets that were under $50 to begin with. I want so bad to see them but I'd much rather the money actually go to them and not scalpers.
sheesh. i just saw them support bmth and they were incredible. i'd known of them bc i interned for sumerian back when they started but with the extensive range of bands on the roster, you don't get to listen to all of the artists. especially as an intern, basically doing the admin for the entire roster. i will say that since then (2017ish) they've obviously worked hard to get to where they are now. they're legit. as for fan culture... let people live. the guys in BO are just like the rest of us only they work a creative job/have a certain amount of talent that gets them recognised. stalkerish behaviour is just fucked, whether it's towards someone famous or not. admiring people is all well and good but there's a line.
I just want to add to this a bit. Like a lot of people, I was in shitty metalcore band back in the day and the one I was in happened to be blessed with a show opening up for I, The Breather in Richmond, VA. The band after us was a pop punk/metal band called Lakeview. They ripped man. Noah played guitar and did some clean vocals, Nick played guitar. I immediately friended them on Facebook after the show and watched as these two dudes moved from Richmond to LA to pursue music full time and start Bad Omens a few years after that. I have nothing but respect for these guys. It was really cool to witness first hand Noah developing his vocals over the years. Back in the day atleast, they were nothing but humble and cool. Rad to see these two guys rise in the metal scene and make a name for themselves.
Watching this video after seeing them live in Berlin last week. I was pretty buff honestly. We were 1h before entrance at the venue and the two queues were already packed. I have never seen something so extreme. Even last year at the BMTH concert in Berlin it wasn’t nearly as packed an 1h before entrance and the concert was for 10k and not 3k visitors like last week. I will say that I am not someone who aggressively pushes or squeezes themselves into some tiny little hole in the crowd. I just look at the crowd at the beginning and try to find a place where I know that people will leave with time or at least where I can have a decent view. I like the space between the security and the mosh pit best, since you can easily get water, have a good view and if smth would happen you could get out within seconds. I ended up in the 4th row and it was a great show. I really liked the atmosphere, you could sense that everyone was a fan just by the amount of people who let loose. Knowing how most Bands feel I usually only allow myself to be a fan fan when I am at concerts, but this time I just really lived in the moment, only took like 3 short videos and that’s it. It was insanely hot so during one of their breaks I talked to the girl next to me stating it was hot, she literally just smiled and said “yeah, right! I hope he takes off his clothes!”. Me: :O In all honesty I was too perplexed too answer. I mean what the f….. I knew that some fans are overdoing it and I found it quiet uncomfortable standing there between the other girls who started to hysterically scream every time Noah started fumble on his shirt. Like come on. Where are we? Especially knowing how they feel. I found it quiet disrespectful. You can feel however you want, you can say whatever you want but when knowing that the idol you are talking about feels uncomfortable with it you should maybe do it in private or just think it instead of shouting it or saying it to a random stranger. Their Performance was great! They all are really masters at what they are doing and I found myself happy to appreciate it live. Even tho I only touched a drumstick Nick threw into the crowd, I was at the right place at the right time and got his setlist. I forced my best friend to get there with me and she said that she considers herself now as a die hard bad omens fan. Lol. If the concrete forever tour would have had an upcoming show in the north of Germany or Denmark we would have went there again.
I listem to the since 2017. I was so happy when they hit mainstream and i bought the ticket 3h after drop to be sure. They changed location 3 times in my country so more ppl can come. This was the day that my dream come true when saw whole teathre of ppl waiting. It was amazing
I follow them since 2017, I've seen them for the first time in a little bar in Paris.. then in a bigger place and in one week I will see them again in a way bigger place.. I can't believe how much they grew, and to see Noah singing with Oliver; I'm so proud of them...
I never gave them a chance until the pandemic hit and my playlist played Dethrone and I thought the video was awesome!! Been listening ever since......
The fact that they are touring with BMTH just this month is like a slap to the ones that said they are copying BMTH. I was lucky enough to be a one of the shows and they sound so good. Hopefuly the next time I see them they will be headliners because they deserve it
I saw them live in 2018. Didn't know them + started listening and saw them again in 2019. At a very early time slot and the smallest stage on these festivals. It's still strange for me too see all these fangirls on tiktok etc. and their headlining tour was sold out this year in my city. I'm really happy for the band, but I can't get my head around how quickly this little band has suddenly become famous. Next year I see them again: suddenly they are in the second row on the festival day. It won't be long until they have a headlining slot if the next album performs as well.
I found out about them not long ago, thanks to the whole Booktok/BikerBoy thing, but they are insanely amazing and I wish I found out about them earlier! Their sound "jumps around", but in such an enjoyable way, because I can enjoy all of their discography at any moment of the day! They make really beautiful music and i hope one day I will get to see them live! Sadly they just cancelled their shows in EU, so not this year, but I hope next year maybe!
one of my favorite concerts was seeing them at soundstage baltimore like.. 2019 i think? my dad introduced me to them. we’re both decent metal heads and had such an amazing fucking time. got to head bang and stage dive next to noah!!!
same thing happened to deftones in their early days where chino said that because of the obsessive fans he felt that he wanted to quit music due to a disturbing message he got
It's so sad.. I really hope the fans' behavior won't want to make them drop out of making music. I don't reckon it, but hey, I didn't reckon a lot that's happened in my short life yet here I am..
People saying they're a Bad Omens fan when the only song they know is Just Pretend are the same people walking around in Nirvana shirts when the only song they know is Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Personally I think they blew up because there song was featured in paradise city aka the show Andy from bvb is in Cameron boyd was “singing” it once people started to watch the show it blew up the song was “careful what you wish for”
The clickbait video they made titled “new bmth song” in 2016 Introduced me to them. The song they used was “The Worst In Me”. Ever since then I fell in love with the band!
Guys I know I fucked up the band aren’t from LA, sorry Bad Omens if you see this 😅
The unique thing about this band is that they blend pop and metal like no other. Not to mention that Noah is a beast of a vocalist.
They are my go to
Totally agree! Honestly, listening to the latest album made me take up singing again and I've been having a blast trying to sing some of their songs 🤭

My sister GOT me into rock lmao
I totally feel the same way; I'm on the facebook group for BO and most of the posts makes me uncomfortable because of how obsessive some fans are. I'm old enough to have known the ''boys bands'' in the 90s and it's saddly similar. One even commented she had a BO themed BEDROOM ffs. I really enjoy Bad Omens' music, I feel they could become a monument, if only people would give them space to create and have a healthy life on their side. I'm scared the band will quit if they have to deal with too many freaks, which I would totally get...
@@bats.n.crows573 I’m with you 100%
been listening to them since 2018, was already expecting they would be bigger but never thought it would be THAT big. it makes me happy more bands getting success
3:09 read the text at the bottom 😂😂😂
Never even notices that before, that's honestly hilarious 😂😂 thanks for pointing that out 😅
I had never heard of them until Just Pretend and I decided to look their stuff up. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, I HAVE BEEN SLEEPING ON THEM! The voice, the lyrics, the music! Amazing!
I'm with ya! I wish I found them sooner they are amazing
Definitely one of my new favorites
Same girl!
Pov when outsiders go to metal shows lol
Can't forget that Noah was on UA-cam doing covers for years. Used to watch him when he was a wee baby.
The versatility of this band is incredible. Listen to Never Know unplugged and Dethrone live at the barricade. Also they sound amazing live, I've seen them twice in February and really wanna see them again!
Can vouch on how good they are live too
that version of dethrone is kind of my hype song to prepare for working with the public- I work retail >.>
Wow I honestly wasn't expecting the second half of this video... I'm fairly new to Bad Omens and got the impression the fans are mostly pretty chill and friendly. Seems there's some very different fans out there and I hope those interactions stay at a minimum for me 😅
Same boat bro, imma sit back (maybe throw a few air punches) and listen to their entire discography over and over again for more weeks to come
@@toki-wa-ugokidesu yeah I feel that 🎉
Noah and the complete band are insanely talented and they just hit massive with the entire album
even better their live performances are insanely good and noahs voice is just perfect live
I absolutely respect bands who aren’t afraid to play different genre’s or blend one genre with an other one. I like bands like: Northlane, Bad Omens, BMtH I Previal and Sleep Token these are probably the most listened bands this year.
Being a fan since self titled release, it’s absolutely crazy for me to see how much this band had grown❤
I found them 2018 i think and at the same day they had a concet at my city. And now they became so important to me lol
I found them 2018 i think and at the same day they had a concet at my city. And now they became so important to me lol
@@CountryMouseCityCrimes yeah it’s one of the first press editions only 1000 made of I think
They really proved the “ThEy SoUnD LiKe BrInG mE tHe HoRiZoN” people wrong, matter fact (and this is no hate or disrespect to BMTH, love those guys) but I think I’d have to say I like these guys more just a little bit
You're right. They don't sound like BMTH. They sound uniquely terrible. At least BMTH is good compared to these guys.
@@xangrycatmanx5104 Retard 🤣
@@xangrycatmanx5104 for someone who ranted about Bad Omens selling out in another, you seem to forget that BMTH technically did exactly what you explained in that comment: added pop elements and got big from it. So are BMTH sellouts to you?
No they didn't prove them wrong they literally sounded like bmth
@@vulpes3018 You're the same type of person to refer to all metal as "screamo". Listen to Bad Omens' latest LP and BMTH's. The difference is world's apart. Unless you're a full on chin dribbler which you probably are.
Glad I've stuck by them since their first album, they deserve all the success they're getting right now 🙏
so much for people to treat people like people not like deities...
It be really cool to see a Collab with Noah Sebastian and Oli Sykes.
10000000%
I saw them perform live together last weekend and it was insane , I need a collab now.
@@NooralainMirza you're sooo lucky
Honestly, the true Bad Omens fans are literally the best
They put on such a great show. Saw them open for ADTR, had no clue who they were. Went to their merch tent immediately after to get a t-shirt and the line was 60+ people long. Looked like they earned lots of fans at that one show.
Yeah I saw them live a few weeks ago, they were unreal, way bigger than the venue they played at though
(hoping that they will still be famous by then, and that this is not just a tiktok trend)
Also, what's amazing and should have been addressed here: the band themselves try to handle/organize everything, from booking a tour to selling their merch on their own website.
Originally out of Richmond VA
The band hasn't had really any lineup changes. Vincent was a member but left, while everyone in the band stayed and are still present.
By definition...this is a line-up change? 🤔 a literal change in their line-up
@@BreakdownMediaYT you stated several lineup changes which is completely false
Thought the same. The one and only change, was Vincent leaving the band. (And Ruffilo picking up bass.)
found these guys in 2016 with Glass Houses, saw them at Self Help Fest a few years ago, so proud to see them on top of the game
Still kicking myself in the ass for not getting a photo with them at a concert back in 2019.
me watching this video right after finding put that Oli and Noah performed Antivist together a few weeks ago
This video aged like fine wine when considering that Bad Omens have just completed a UK tour for Post Human with Bad Omens as the main support act, with Noah coming on stage to join in with Oli on Antivist, the two bands are just made for each other haha.
I saw these guys opening for Parkway drive back in 2017, and they killed it. Such great energy on stage. Been a fan ever since
That would be SO GOOD if bring me the horizon and Bad Omens did a collaboration. It would be the best metal song of the year
Those “fans” creating fake scenarios etc are just freaky if you like a band you support them no matter what ok but some people are just too obsessed.
Great video tho love bad omens!
I’m convinced it was the haircut
i love all of their albums. First song i ever heard was careful what you wish for, many years go. Noah is bloody talented with his vocals and also doing music (as seen in his live streams during covid), Jolly, nicholas Ruffilo and nick Folio are so damn talented and they all seem to be best friends
for sure
hahaha no lie! I tried to get that vintage Artificial Suicide shirt - nope. I got a shirt before everything sold out
@@chellecopley67 omg i tried to get it too and it sold out in like 1-2 min! i got the reapert shirt and the like a villain hoodie!
@@TragedyClub98 I am so excited to see them live at Louder than Life, have you been able to see them live yet? I completely agree, I haven't been as blown away by someone's vocals in a long time. I feel like these guys will get better and better and I can't wait to watch them succeed even more!
@@TragedyClub98 oh btw I got the reaper sirt too! lol
Back when we were in a very mid electronicore band we played a show with Bad Omens, of all the bands we played with, I've gotta say I'm surprised these guys blew up...
At the time I remember thinking "talented guys, but generic" (did I mention we were an electronicore band? 'Generic' got thrown out a lot)
In a way we were a little bitter (they were already much bigger than us at the time) because we'd put in a lot of effort to cultivate what we felt was a "unique" sound, and at the time what they were doing felt like the antithesis of that.
The greatest thing about fame is the fans, the worst thing about fame is the fans.
Saw them live last November and they were amazing!
Been listening to them since 2016 and they get better with each album.
i hate to be that kind of person, but its so cool that i was around before they really really blew up. its so impressive seeing how far theyve come
ive seen them live 5-6 times now at this point. i saw them on the 10 years in the black tour in 2017, met them, got a picture with, and got their first album signed by them. i remember their, i assume tour manager, yelling in the concert hall "$5 for a cd, someone buy it just to shut me the fuck up" and of course i had to buy it lol it makes me so happy to see them finally get the recognition they deserve but some of these new fans need to chill the fuck out
I know is more usual than one thinks that some fans are obsesive and creepy, but sometimes it's shocking to know it can get to this extent.
BMTH X Bad Omens, 2 of my faves. the collab I NEED in my life
I am honestly praying for this collab too
You’re getting so good with transitioning your thoughts.
Noah's voice is so freaking amazing, glad I found them.
Been listening to Bad Omens since their first album dropped. Knew they would blow up eventually but didn't realize they've got so big already. Just hope they continue to drop a few heavy songs on each album and don't turn into whatever BMTH is now smh.
i remeber some time in like 2018 i was at a restaurant local to my state and one of my coworker offered me to go see bad omens at some small show they were doing for free but her boyfriend messed up the date and found out it had happened the night before, but i ended up looking them on spotify when i got back home and a couple of their older stuff and didnt really keep up with them than dethrone came out sometime after and that song got me hooked on them
I just saw them at Sonic Temple and I was impressed. Can't wait for more.
Saw Bad Omens in Brisbane back in March during Knotfest, they put on a great show and enjoyed what they put out!
Saw them back in 2016 with upon a burning body, after the burial, born of Osiris, and asking Alexandria, that debut album era was awesome
I am so glad that i can say that i knew them before they blew up on tiktok
their rise genuinely shocked me... i stopped listening to music/going to shows after getting tinnitus..but i saw them in 2016 i think and was mad into them they were like if BMTH was still heavy but nobody knew them besides me and then years later im watching a podcast and hear "bad omens is one of the biggest bands right now" and im like WTF ?? the bring me clone i watched make small talk with kids at the merch table a few years ago?? i mean good for them but wtf did i miss???
Saw them open for ADTR ( just before the blow up). I was already a fan. Still waiting for the chance at an headline show. Big fan, before the blow up.
except the tour did sell out because of scalpers. Dallas sold out in 3 minutes and immediately tickets were posted on reseller sites for double, triple, and quadruple the prices. I'm not paying $800 for tickets that were under $50 to begin with. I want so bad to see them but I'd much rather the money actually go to them and not scalpers.
totally agree about ticketmaster. Its impossible to buy a ticket and the problem is remaining
Been a fan since 2016, proud of my boys.
fuck yeah
I am obsessed with Bad Omens! So talented!
sheesh. i just saw them support bmth and they were incredible. i'd known of them bc i interned for sumerian back when they started but with the extensive range of bands on the roster, you don't get to listen to all of the artists. especially as an intern, basically doing the admin for the entire roster. i will say that since then (2017ish) they've obviously worked hard to get to where they are now. they're legit. as for fan culture... let people live. the guys in BO are just like the rest of us only they work a creative job/have a certain amount of talent that gets them recognised. stalkerish behaviour is just fucked, whether it's towards someone famous or not. admiring people is all well and good but there's a line.
Me: :O
In all honesty I was too perplexed too answer.
To think I saw bad omens three times without remembering a second of it 😅
I listem to the since 2017. I was so happy when they hit mainstream and i bought the ticket 3h after drop to be sure. They changed location 3 times in my country so more ppl can come. This was the day that my dream come true when saw whole teathre of ppl waiting. It was amazing
I first heard of bad omens after seeing them at the 10 years in the black tour. instantly made me a fan.
It would be pretty aweaome to see you do a video like this over AILD and ATR!
I am sat here in my wraith hoodie from the latest drop with a very smug smile on my very smug face.
Been a fan since 2016 when I discovered The Fountain scrolling through UA-cam ❤️❤️
The songwriting on this last album is amazing and unique
They coming to Houston this Friday and I won’t be there 😢
one of my favorite concerts was seeing them at soundstage baltimore like.. 2019 i think? my dad introduced me to them. we’re both decent metal heads and had such an amazing fucking time. got to head bang and stage dive next to noah!!!
its very easy to put them in a genre at this point. popmetal
Ain't no way ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE is popmetal 🤣
same thing happened to deftones in their early days where chino said that because of the obsessive fans he felt that he wanted to quit music due to a disturbing message he got
Lol been a fan since “Worst in me”
And these guys don’t miss
Love Noah, Nick got me into drumming lessons, dude has chops!
It's so sad.. I really hope the fans' behavior won't want to make them drop out of making music. I don't reckon it, but hey, I didn't reckon a lot that's happened in my short life yet here I am..
Trust me, they're not gonna let some teen tik tokers get in their way.
The atmosphere of FGBGFM is incredible for me. Not a big fan of their other two albums but some of the songs on that album are bangers
People saying they're a Bad Omens fan when the only song they know is Just Pretend are the same people walking around in Nirvana shirts when the only song they know is Smells Like Teen Spirit.
I cant wait for their next album. The Death of Peace of Mind is going to be hard to top
Personally I think they blew up because there song was featured in paradise city aka the show Andy from bvb is in Cameron boyd was “singing” it once people started to watch the show it blew up the song was “careful what you wish for”
2017 I heard of them and they were nothing but fire !
i saw bad omens support bring me the horizon last month , it was the best day ever.. 2 of my favourite bands
Was on the concert in Munich yesterday and their live performance was sooo fucking good
The clickbait video they made titled “new bmth song” in 2016 Introduced me to them. The song they used was “The Worst In Me”. Ever since then I fell in love with the band!
