Ummm dude... There are bigger Metal band than this. Thats why i didnt like or sub. Your content seems lazy and your headlines dont match your video content. 3/10 for speaking clear English and not wearing makeup
It would be SO FUN if bad omens’ next album was just heavy as hell, seeing all the Noah fan girls lose their shit because it’s not the death of piece of mind 2.0
I NEED this
This would be so freaking awesome. Keep the industrial/wave elements of Death of Peace of Mind, but have it be EXTREMELY heavy. Like, heavier than Dethrone and Artificial Suicide.
If its progressive deathcore im game
Heavier than Dethrone? Can it get even heavier than that? That's like the heaviest thing I've ever heard lol (but yeahhh I don't listen to death/black metal so yeah
It would be, I think it’s unlikely though. They talked about The Death Of Peace Of Mind as if it is the album they found their sound on.
Saw bad omens 2 days ago, 5 girls for every guy, fishnet heaven. The crowd was loud af, we all knew the lyrics, absolutely phenomenal.
Seems like a banging good time.
Wasn't that ratio when I saw them in February. And Noah made a call out for a wall of death for the breakdown of nowhere to go which was compleltly insane
I think Bad Omens and Sleep Token are going to bring in a lot of new people into the metal world.
The metal world? No, they'll bring in a lot of new people who want to hear bands that sound like Bad Omens and Sleep Token but will be in for a rude awakening when they realize that they don't actually like metal at all.
Sleep Token is good. Is Bad Omens essentially "screamo"?
@@ZX-ou5op nah there will be enough people like me who will stick around with more heavier stuff, a friend showed me songs from Sundowning in 2019 and since then I am fully commited to the metal sceen.
And Loathe.
@@ZX-ou5opmaybe but I’ve actually seen the opposite many times, ex: my stepbrother didn’t like metal in 2019, we went to a festival full of metal bands that year, he listens to Knocked Loose now in 2023😂 Not just this example I’ve been noticing metal getting a bit more popular than it has been
As you getting popular, you gain fans, you gain haters, you gain weird fans
Unfortunately for Bad Omens, they have a lot of weird fans.
Thats what happens when TikTok is a thing and everyone wants to be apart of everyones shit
John Lennon is a great example
"Only reason it sold out is due to scalpers and not success of the band" My brain fucking hurts. Reddit strikes again.
Maybe he was saying that the only reason it sold out in under a minute was because of scalpers, not that it sold out at all. And that depends on if we could find out how many tickets the scalpers bought when they went on sale.
straight up was in the que as soon as it opened then like 2 hours later the tickets go on sale and sold out within 30 seconds, I was in the que, they go on sale, then I'm sent to a screen that says sold out before 10:01. Seattle show btw.
I remember when the album first dropped and i heard “Just Pretend” the first time, i was thinking how massive the chorus was and i knew it would be the most popular song on the album but i had NO CLUE it would be this big. Jesus.
and Just Pretend is not even too good compared with singles like The Gray, DOPOM, Concrete Jungle and Artificial Suicide.
Like a Villain was also great.@@brunonascimento9633
@@brunonascimento9633artificial suicide and the grey are freaking dope
I wanna comment on the *recent* fanbase. Been a listener since day one, absolutely love their music, every album is a masterpiece and always thought "damn i can definitely see these guys blowing up one day". They just came through Birmingham AL wednesday with Invent, Animate and Erra, absolutely wild lineup and great ass show BUT it was the single strangest environment during the show. It didn't feel like a metal show, it felt like a bunch of fangirls there to obsess over Noah (like i get it, the guy is a handsome mofo). The crowd was dead for Invent and Erra which was absolutely sad for me to witness as Erra was literally playing a hometown show and no one there knew (or seemed to care) who they were. But when the band came out, all the phones went up, the band members came in one by one per usual; barely anyone cheered for the rest of the band but as soon as Noah even peeked out from behind the side stage, the screams errupted like Taylor Swift had just taken the stage. Don't get me wrong, i'm glad that one of my fave bands is getting the success they deserve, but my lord the obsessive behavior is creepy and lowkey ruins it for me.
sounds like a bunch of posers tbh. that's really sad dude
Saw them live in Warsaw this year. They were with 2 smaller bands (ghostkid and oxymorrons). Im not really surprised that only few ppl knew them, but even tho ghostkid went fucking hard and had some sick breakdowns, it was almost impossible to see some bigger moshpits, even during Dethrone... Honestly, Bad Omens should tour with bands that have similar poppy/rock vibe.
Sad and sounds similar to BMTH and Oli
That probably what happening with Lorna shore as well with them suddenly getting so popular. I really hate that when a band gets popular, a lot of the pretentious girls gether at their concerts for one person a lot of times. And if you are not attractive or hot enough in their eyes, you would just be treated like a nobody. Fuck this. But at least they are introduced to some heavier music since they are most probably not used to it. The actual metalhead girls are good tho.
It’s like pierce the veil touring with I prevail. Tiktok fans are fucking weird
Bad omens is incredibly good live. We saw them open for Underoath when Every time I die dropped out, and I’m so glad they did because I got to see Bad Omens , Spiritbox, and Underoath. Such a good lineup of talent
I saw them open for Born Of Osiris, and even though they ran into car trouble on the way, and were late, they were sick.
Crazy, I grew up with their drummer and he was an inspiration to me seeing him on stage back when I was 12 and he was only 14/15. Some people are just meant to be famous and you see it very early on.
Insane dude
That song was my favorite in the album before it even blew up on TikTok....i was so happy to be like SSEEEEEE METAL IS DOPE! LOL
I really thought this was gonna be some gate keeping comment but I 100% agree!! METAL IS DOPE!!
Man I was cool before it was cool too.
So happy for them. I hope the drama fades one day.
Nice profile pic my guy
Saw Invent Animate, Erra, and Bad Omens as the headliner on Thursday night. I went for the first two but wasn’t disappointed at all to see Bad Omens. And I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how many people knew 100% of the lyrics.
I knew they had crossed over a bit but didn’t know it was like this.
Been listening to Bad Omens for years, and Never Know is my most listened song of all time on Spotify. Buying my concert tickets to see Just Pretend blow up and tickets sell out after I bought mine is a very crazy thing to see. Not going to be one of those people that hates new fans, but its very odd.
I saw The Plot in You recently and they kept trying to start mosh pits, but since they blew up on TikTok everyone at the show was new to heavier shows and didn’t know what was going on.
wait the plot in you blew up on tiktok😳😳 why did i not know this
@@devynmichaela10 yea Feel Nothing absolutely blew up it has like 170 million streams on Spotify, kinda nuts
Been a fan since the beginning. So glad they are reaching greater heights. Excited for more to come
I saw Bad Omens for the first time at Knotfest in Sydney this year - they put on a great show despite Noah having an issue with his voice for the week prior.
Saw Bad Omens at almost like a pop up show they did a few weeks ago. Scheduled it super last minute after the Bamboozle(Scamboozle) festival got canceled. Was a decently large venue and they sold it out in like 2 days. Music was great, the vibes where immaculate, and the moshpit was amazing.
i remember seeing them opening for Ice Nine Kills. They were amazing. Me and my dad both said they would quickly become famous and we were right. my dad thought they were the next linkin park and it’s hard to impress him
I saw them in Chattanooga yesterday along with Invent Animate. I kind of lost my voice screaming to Dethrone, but it was 10/10 would do it again. Invent Animate also sounded absolutely spectacular. These new bands are going crazy with their vocal skills and I am here for it.
The scalper part also happened with Sleep Token. At least I got tickets for the Bad Omens show in Austin for this upcoming fall.
In the month since this came out, Just Pretend got up to 97 million on Spotify. Of course they did release the music video. I was one of the lucky ones to get tickets from the artist presale for the fall tour. I’m excited, but also nervous because some of the fans are so bad and I’ve heard that the crowd can be awful at their shows. We will see!
first saw them opening for Born of Osiris and they had like 2 singles on itunes. I was hooked instantly. I just remember how into the performance the drummer was and stuck out to me. Bought a shirt and talked to Noah at the merch booth, was a good night.
“And The Weeknd”
Dude, so true. Noah’s vocal range is Unbelievable
Was listening to SXM Octane (Or turbo?) And heard "Like a Villian". That song got me into the hand and now i love their entire discography.
I just saw them for the third time the other day and holy shit bad omens fans are crazy. they are one of my favorite bands but it’s like every person in the room knew every lyric to every song. it was even erra’s hometown show but it seemed like most the people there were only there for bad omens
Finding God Before God Finds Me was a top ten album of 2019 they’ve been amazing
Saddened to hear he didn't like FGBGFM, that's literally my favourite album of all time 😭 Mercy is my fav song ever I cried so much seeing it live in March💔
Mercy will always be my favourite from them, hope to hear it live (in person) someday
He loves kingdom of cards
10:31 I have been a fan of bad omens since their self titled album as well. When they posted a TDOPOM herb grinder I went to buy it, but it was sold out instantly. It took the merch store EIGHT MONTHS to tell me it was sold out and the refund took another 2 months lmao. I like their main 3 albums, but man tik tok fans took it out of control lol
Shared your reactions to their video, especially regarding the next level Stans...I 100% understand why bands like ST want to remain anonymous (Also interesting parallel how apparently ST Wembley show recently sold out 10mill tix in 10 minutes, scalpers ruin it for fans...guess that's the situation now when artists get big)
I discovered them when I heard Artificial Suicide and they very quickly became my favourite band followed closely by Make Them Suffer, I absolutely loved Finding God Before God Finds Me
Spotify thinks every genre I want to listen to is actually 'Bad Omens Radio'. I'm not mad about it but they are running my algorithm.
Metal is back baby!
the video synopsis: bad omens is amazing, and respect noah and the band, and don’t fan fiction them.
Nice TL;DR 👍
'Phrost
Went to their headlining show Wednesday to see invent animate and erra( which they both fkn killed it) but literally the crowd barely knew any of IA or erras music. I wasn't familiar with Omens as much but they put on great performance and they're pulling all the women to shows apparently
I got into Erra because bad omens was touring with them on their last tour and I LOVE Erra
shame because IA and ERRA are miles ahead of bad omens
@@gabrielmaddern6070 in what way? The thing Bad Omens does extremely perfectly is to appeal to everyone taste in music thats the reason their success has blown up so much, I thoroughly enjoy ERRA and i haven't hear of IA until just now and they sound kinda similiar to ERRA little bit, but ERRA and from what i have just listened to a little bit of IA have extremely similar and cookie cutter songs, TDOPOM has insane variety and scratches that itch for nearly everyone out there to enjoy.
@@TheMessiah1337 IA absolutely does not have cookie cutter songs lmao. They are far more progressive and technical than Bad Omens
@@TheMessiah1337 Invent and ERRA are definitely more creative for me
Love love love them. Seeing them in October in Los Angeles.
It's weird how all the sudden us OG fans are surrounded by this massive tsunami of fan girls like Bad Omens is Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande 😂😂😂
I did not see this coming. They took a MASSIVE jump from a badass underground band to all the sudden selling out Arenas with every person singing thier songs word for word 😅
Gonna be honest - came across them in 2020 and haven't stopped listening since. Their self tilted album is by far my favourite, and don't know whether to class myself as a new, or old fan. I kinda sit in the middle of their timeline lol 😅 (please don't put me in the same category as the new fans, PLEASE.)
They deserve the hype but their blowup is insane I remember when they dropped finding god album and they came here to Nashville and the show was at a bar for 30 bucks and I didn't go now I wanted to see them here again a few years later and the tickets are 150+ insane
I had no idea they had such an obsessive fan base I just like there music.
7:45 @editor lmao you're the goat with that edit
I found these guys in 2018 when they only had 3 songs available and their first album was getting ready to drop. I immediately seen the talent and was blown away by the vocalist as it truly scratched the itch left by BMTH after they left the Sepiternal sound behind when I hoped they woukd do a few albums like that.
That being said Bad Omens since has completely morhped into thier own sound and style and this last album absolutely blew my mind 🤯 to where i shared it with the girl I had just started talking with (didn't know if she liked rock/metal or not lol) but she loved it.
I didnt expect for them to get this big this fast and skyrocket into superstars like this and I can see it's got it's own issues lmao. There are the OG fans from the first 2 albums. And then there are the new tiktok one's who are causing all the problems 😂.
But I'm just glad one of the bands I considered under rated finally got all the attention and recognition they were desering of 🙏 cause so often the bands don't get it
Didn't know these guys blew up this much holy shit. Good for them!
honestly, the only reason I learned about this band was because I forgot the name of the song from BMTH (Chelsea Smile) and came across Bad Omens. I always thought they were imposters and seeing this video made me feel like they were living BMTHs life. I even predicted the young girls would be at the show beefing with the OG fans. crazy.
I wanted to see Erra and ISS on tour, Bad Omens would’ve been a nice bonus.
They’re easily the best band in the game today. They do what the best metalcore bands do and that’s alternate being super melodic and heavy. And the singer can actually sing
@@kordell8199 I listened to it. I don't know if it's just me but I think they're just decent. Outside of "Chokehold" and "Granite" the songs on their new album don't do it for me. But everyone loves them so maybe I'm crazy.
Nah Make Them Suffer is. Bad Omens is good, but I'd hardly call them metalcore.
@@cbs785 They're both definitely metalcore. It's just that Bad Omens is on the lighter end of the metalcore spectrum (bordering on post-hardcore), whereas Make Them Suffer is on the heavier end of the metalcore spectrum (bordering on deathcore).
@Frederick0220 Hmm I consider Bad Omens more of a hard rock band at this point, which makes them more approachable to the masses and makes them as popular as they are. I can't classify them as metalcore because from what I've heard their heavy vocals are few and far between. There are no metalcore bands as popular as them because most people can't appreciate heavy vocals. If they made a heavy album all thos tik tok fan girls would dissappear in a heartbeat.
@@cbs785 Yeah, they don't scream much. I need to count how many tunes on TDOPOM where Noah screams. I'd imagine it's 5 or 6, but even then, it's sometimes only for 20-30 secs of a song.
11:15
I’ve definitely seen people mosh and hardcore to Dayseeker. They were opening up for TWDP and We Came As Romans on the 10-year anniversary tour for To Plant A Seed, but it still happened
So wild. Saw them open for Underoath like a year ago. Then we go see them headline, bigger venue, and it was oversold by like 30%. While a miserable experience as a concert goer, I had to do a double take because the growth was just unreal.
Wait, why wasn't anybody flashing the band? Black Sabbath had girls with their tops off... in like, the 90s.
I been seeing a trend honestly, it seem like the bigger bands all have one thing in common which is a member is hot af and they just simp for them which sucks for the other bands tbh cause like i feel they care more about how the band member looks than the music itself
Dude you are so legit for making my day every day
on a side note i think Sleep Token is on the same train as Bad Omens
Enough, Enough now is really a gem.
it does not get much attention between there songs. But it just unique and interesting.
Come to Michigan man! Got a sick metal festival going on this summer
I love Bad Omens, they’re probably one of the most important bands in the scene right now.
I remember loving Sempiteral so much and then BMTH decided they were gonna sound like Billy Eilish with guitars and I was sad that sound was gone forever. Then I heard Bad Omens first album and I was ecstatic that I had more of that sound. When I heard people shit on Bad Omens for being derivative I was like "STFU, I need everything that sounds like this!" I like where they've gone from there and honestly where BMTH has gone as well. I feel like their growth and innovation has caused me to branch out to other genres I may not have.
I really like how their first album sounds, but man, some of the lyrics on some of the songs are pure unadulterated cheese.
Although IMHO, I think that Crawl (one of Bad Omen’s songs) and The Snakes Start To Sing (and also Hospital for Souls) were easily the most underrated parts of their respective albums.
a Bad Omens, Sleep Token, I See Stars, Sunsleep, Wind Walkers, Rain City Drive tour would be ULTIMATE
Bad omens was my first concert and now I'm about to go back again in June. Favorite band by far
8:38 Unfortunately I agree that it's kindof an issue with the Ticketmaster monopoly. The venues can't even sell tickets at the door or get blacklisted by the site. it's fucked.
Great Watch
I didnt even realize I saw Bad Omens during Danny's AA return tour. Had no idea until you said that, wow.
There are so MANY good FUCKING BANDS and Artists + the amount of genres I listen to. Everything from metal , 90’s, 2000’s, trance, Chillstep, EDM, screamo, certain country , early rap like 90’s - 2010 or newer stuff like NF, futuristic, Banjaxi, I’ll shut up now.. I’ve made my point that sometimes it takes me years to realize that there are certain bands that I shouldn’t just have added their top 5 tracks to my workout and lifestyle playlists.
I should be adding their albums and taking the time to listen to them evolve. Which takes a lot because i already have 1000’s of artists.
Well just over the last month of so I realized I should be listening to more BAD OMENS and holy shit was I missing out on something special. Everything from Architects, BMTH, rise against, underoath early vibes from this bands. Which gives me basically another band which provides me with with every sound I crave throughout my 30 year quest building the perfect soundtrack to my life and overcoming any obstacles I face.
Thank God for MUSIC. It’s truly life cause without it i wouldn’t survive.
I feel like there's alot of bands like this. Ice Nine Kills also comes to mind, theyve been doing it for 10yrs and now are getting bigger
Damn I had no idea these guys blew up lol. I think I remembered them at ~1.4 mil listeners last year, now double that. Good for them.
Dammit Nik I fooking love you. Fantastic and hilarious and your unspoken snootyness of "heavy" always gets me going 😅
Unrelated, when are we talking about the buzz: "????????????" band on the Blue Ridge Rock Fest line up?
They got put in there super low key but people are talking about a [ blessthefall ] comeback and the amount of question marks checks up.
Apparently theres a snippet of a new song leaked somewhere to.
first album is the best album nobody can change that for me
0:07 DID YOU KNOW THAT SCREAMING AT YOUR ACTUAL SUBSCRIBERS WILL NOT HELP???
the bad omens fan base reminds me a lot of the BMTH fanbase back in like early 2010's just a lot of obsessive teenage girls "in love " with the singer overshadowing the people who were just fans of the band
I think is always weird when someone gets a tattoo of a band's name. Because you never know if they're going to have a situation like "Lostprophets" or like "As I Lay Dying". Unless those people have the mental capacity of separate the music from the personal life of the band members, which is healthier than fanatism, anyways.
I first listened to bad omens back in 2014. 2015? Idk whenever they had their self titled album.I loved "worst of me", but it did sound like bmth. Which is one of my faves. I thought they'd just fizzle out, never make it big, just be a wannabe band y'know trying to be bmth. But I really am happy where they are now, they've come into their own sound and i absolutely love it.
Bad Omens is really good
feel free to expand further lol
I saw bad omens recently in tempe and I never heard of them and knew they had a tik tok song, I was pretty blown away by their performance and I was shocked when my friend showed me they sold out the whole tour
Bad omens is also great live, saw them in March, great gig. They had to upgrade the venue and it immediately sold out again.
I saw Bad omens on festivals years back where they basicly opened the day and were very low on the bill and it was good, nothing special.
I listened to them every now and then, but they were nowhere near my #1 band or favorite.
But then last year i saw them in Europe with the TDOPM Tour and they were (if not) the best live act i have ever witnessed.
Noah his live vocals are insane now and the whole band just grew a ton comprared to last times i saw them.
and yes sure he might use some backtracks/corrections for his vocals but you still have to sing pretty damn spot on to make all of it work.
I wasn't a fan of TDOPM at first with all those ""the weekend" vibes and going softer, but it's their best work to date now.
it grows on you.
PS the first USA tour and the full EU tour sold out in advance, the one with erra and i see stars mentioned in the video is the second US tour that sold out in advance.
I hadn't heard of Bad Omens until... I wanna say October last year. I use to be a manager for that mall goth store and instead of trading numbers as staff we just traded Instagrams and made a store chat though it. One of our temp heirs from the back-to-school season started posting WILD shit on her story about the vocalist and was talking about em non-stop in store. To say i regretted that hire is an understatement lmao. No dissing to the band, i was just introduced via the manic crazed fan girl side of things lmao
Liked them early on. Whenever “Careful what you wish for” came out was when I started following hard af.
I don’t know anything about bad omens, I was looking at shoes coming up and my local venue and saw that their show in October is already sold out (5 months from now!) did I miss something?? Lol
"thats a weird specification" 😂
ah, the price of Glory. Sucks to be him for sure, I am hard work pays off but daym thats not how they expected this one to go for sure.
Noah is like the complete opposite of Ronnie Radke lol
I remembered listening to Bad Omens back when Dethrone was popular, good times.
Im just here to say its been a month, and now Just Pretend is at 86.7 Million.
I wish one of these UA-camrs speak more about music than fame. I think they aren't the same. With that being said, can you Nik please once talk about Protest the Hero? A review or feedback on their longevity and criminally underated talent.
My tattoo artist is their old bassist
Going viral on mainstream is a double edged sword.
On one side, you literally go viral.
On the other side, ENDLESS CRINGE
Bad Omens’ new album sounds a lot like an American version of One Ok Rock. Still very good that being said.
bad omens is from rva not la. noah used to be in a metalcore band called lakeview years before bad omens in the local scene.
Where is ST reaction?
Kinda wild to me that people were down on FGBGFM when it came out. That album has some bangers. The acoustic release was on point as well, i felt.
I didn’t used to care for BMTH but I’m a certified fan now. Also love the new single
I got a death of peace of mind tattoo a couple months before the tik tok thing and now i cant help but want to hide it because of the weird af fan base. hopefully the weirdos go away soon or imma have to get this covered up lmao
the amount of "craziness" those fangirl do to noah, seems like the same "craziness" that happen to oli sykes or kellin quinn back in the 10's, right?
Burning out is an amazing song!
At first I put them off as some kind of softcore emo-ish band until they popped into my feed on Spotify. I think I’m hooked lol.
What did nik only like dethrone from that album? What about blood?? A banger too
Yeah as someone who has listened to them for years, I'm happy they're doing well but fucking TikTok of all things that made them blow up brought over all the worst kind of "fans"" just following the crowd. It's so bittersweet, I don't even bother following or interacting with the band or fans online. It's just cringe and toxic. But fuck... I'm SO happy they're doing well.
The price of bad omens admission tickets for the orange peel here in Asheville was $387 as of yesterday. Nah I’ll go see deafhaven at the grey eagle for $30 and a $10 beer
I wonder what the overlap is between the Bad Omens fandom and the Waterparks fandom, bc they are both absolutely unhinged (both have had stalking incidents, *weird* made up twitter stories, etc)
Seen them open for BFMV 5 years ago they were not bad. They have gotten a lot better and are already changing up their sound.
