Looks great bud! Good job🤩
Thanks!
Fitment looks great man!
Thanks!
Omfg it looks so good bro!! I just need to find a couple Gz somewhere lmfao
Great video! Are you considering getting it corner balanced?
I had to cut off a lil bit of my rear fenders and now is perfect
On my 1st drive i didn't have any rubbing. If it starts to rub I will trim
Just saw one of these in person for the first time and it didn’t look terrible
They will grow as the VA did. When I purchased my 2015 wrx in April 2014 everyone hated it.
@@JoeyMontalto true. i remember when the VA came out i hated it too. Now i love it. Happens with lots of new cars
Hey Joey!
Just put in my order for a set of Fortunes. Did you end up going with the default spring options? Looking forward to your upcoming coilovers review 🙌
I picked the Default spring rate as well
@@JoeyMontalto Awesome! Thanks for the response brotha 🍻
how did the stock end links fit with that 22 thread ride height mine came with adjustable end links and they are to short unless I have the coilover fully extended if I lower the coiler to say 50mm the stock front and the adjustable fully extenedwd are to short ?? any idea
change out interior lights to LED's (inc truck light) they make a huge difference.
Came here to say this.
Do you know if they have any coilovers for the Subaru gt 22 I buy my like 2 months ago
Do you match all the torque for all the nuts?
Thanks for uploading! Looking so good now.
how is the ride? handling and comfort compare to stock.
I haven't driven much since they were installed yesterday. Feels smooth but hard to tell handling since the alignment is very off. I'm currently working on the toe arms and rear lower control arms now. Alignment should be this week then I'll have a full review
@@JoeyMontalto any update on ride quality?
@@okseby ride quality is great! I would say it’s better than stock comfort wise and in performance!
@@JoeyMontalto That's what I was hoping to hear, This will be my next mod for sure. I just want to get at least 1 track day on stock suspension to see the difference which should be early October!
If you gwt any noise coming from them. Losin them back up and then put all the weight on the stand then torque down.
You don't want to bind the bushings ;)
No noises, but thank you I will keep this in mind if I get a noise
So you’re saying put load on the springs then tighten?
To properly torque the front endlinks did you do this while your car was on the ground? Trying to figure the best way to do this and avoid clunking! 🙏
I used a jack and jacked up the control arm to make the endlink meet with the strut mount. Tighten them very tight. Never had an issue with the front clunking like you mentioned
Shouldnt the front strut tower control arm (connects strut to swaybar) be adjustable to keep the height (and tension) of the swaybar the same when lowering the car? I noticed on MAPerformances video of the same shocks on the same car that they put adjustable front end links on for that purpose of keeping the swaybar function the same.
I noticed that in their video. Mine box did not come with front endlinks
I think it looks much better lowered
Of course!
I’ve got my FA500’s on mine but I am getting clunking in the rear and front. I’ve checked preload and I’ve torqued everything down to spec and for some reason I am still getting the noises. Can’t figure out why. Rear end links are Cobb and the front end links are the adjustable ones that came from FA with the coil overs. Any advice??
Tighten the endlinks some more
Joey, do you feel the daily drive is improved, smoother etc... after this install?
Yes, I feel like daily driving and comfort is improved after installed
I'm still waiting on my Cygnus x1 coilovers. It's been 5 weeks
It will be worth the wait!
What’s your go to site for ordering parts? I’m new to Subi life.
I look at a few sites and I pick who has it available in stock. Check out import image racing, subispeed, rallysport direct
Do you know if you can use coils from the previous Jen on the new wrx?
You cannot. Top hats are different and bottom mount are different. The valving in the struts are also different as most these companies did some r&d
Hey Joey
I installed Fortune Auto 500 from a shop and there rear had a slight camber on both sides. Is this normal from your experience?
Hey thanks for watching. Yes, when lowering the car it will get more camber. You can correct the camber in the front but the rear needs aftermarket control arms to adjust camber. I recommend doing the toe arm as well!
@@JoeyMontalto thanks Joey. Wished fortune would have included that especially given the price.
Where did you get the emblems?... I been looking for my wife's 22 wrx but can't find any....
I have an install video on my channel of the emblems. SMY Performance
I gotta comment twice fuck it Got DAMN it looks good
Also, did they not send you the adjustable end links from fortune?
I did not get adjustable endlinks with my kit. Not required. If you get them then measure the stock endlinks and make the new endlinks are the same length. I will be upgrading to a beefier endlink in the future
@@JoeyMontalto thanks Joey for the quick response!!
@@waybach thanks for watching!
How do you know to “max” out the cambers? What is the process of maxing them out?
When I install coils I eye ball the camber after the ride height is set. From there I drive to the alignment shop and they do an alignment to dial it in. To adjust camber just loosen the 4 Allen head bolts on each top hat up top and then move the strut by hand
@@JoeyMontalto okay nice thank you so much! 🙏
Can these be installed and adjusted to stock height?
Yes, you can install these and lower the car, keep it same height, or even raise the car.
Where you buy the coils??
Direct from fortune auto
Joey what model of quickjack did you buy?
I bought the 5000TL. I have a warranty request in currently. After I installed the coils it doesn't go up anymore
Thank You
What size pass through socket?
I have same question @Joey
What size wheel?
18x9.5 is the wheel size
you need a flash light or something... !!! 😩
Much too low , no space for absorption, car will jump and handle badly on normal roads. Never buy coilovers from unknown brands. Wait for something from Eibach, Bilstein, Ohlins etc.
Yeah cars a bit low but you act like fortune auto is bad brand lol
@@tyhyhh Maybe if is tuned properly is still very competitive and reliable, but I would buy Ohlins ,KW, Proflex or any other european brands.
Fortune auto is definitely not a unknown brand. Usually if your not familiar with coilovers you should go to a shop. There tons of adjustments that Usually have to be made. Also wheel choice etc affects it. I had rev 9 which is basically owned by godspeed and several other names it goes by. Had them on my camaro and no issues.
fortune auto is actually a pretty legit brand now. Car can be raised though for sure
Love it! What's your IG?
