Truly appreciate you going through the effort to test these three mufflers. I 'was' stuck between the 40 series and the FlowFX, but your video was extremely helpful in making a choice. They BOTH sound great, but for 1/2 the cost, I the FlowFX will be what I'm going for. Again, thanks for posting :)
This video was perfect timing. I just bought Patriot long tube headers and need an exhaust system. The muffler shop tech recommended the FX over the 40 series. I agree. I'm going with the FX! Thanks for the face off.
I was skeptical at first, but those last ones you put on, sound way better. I was certain that the 40 Series were the ones to get, but those fx sound better at idle, and a bit more aggressive at all rpms. Nice job! 👍👍
The flow fx were the beat in my opinion. Sound was good with a lower cleaner tone than the other 2. Also stainless steel and only $50 is hard to compete with.
The flowFX gives the motor that new age sound of a bad ass LS swap. And the flowmaster 40 series is also a great bad ass sound! Has that nice ting ping sound as if your big boy cammed out and ready to rip them tires off. Real raw power loud. Definitely love them both. If your all about that down shift and loud power sound the 40 series will grab that attention for sure. On the same note but like I said that new skool LS swap smooth sound lower tone during regular driving. But downshift and hit them high rpm's then the sound of the flowFX will let you know what's up. Over all both two amazing mufflers. Eather you wanna hear the exhaust more at idle and at high rpm 40 series vs only realy at high rpm flowFX. Hope this helps.
All sound good of course. Having just went from the super 10's to the flowFX myself, you cant beat the flowFX. Cost and actual flow performance are the best perks, also slimmer body for space restrictions.
Too each their own! I just put the new FX straight through Flowmaster muffler on my 5.3, and I hate it. 650$ down the drain. That was the cost of material and installation. It sounds like "F"actory e"X"haust. My 40s fell off and I want them back on ASAP. My Bitch got to be screaming.
Just ordered my 3.5" Flow fx earlier today, glad to catch your video to confirm I made the right choice. I would like someone to tell me of a better "race" muffler for me to preserve my 641 hp. through?
Appreciate you going through all the effort to make the video. Question, did you have any added tailpipe to the outlets of the mufflers, or just as their shown on the tailgate? Thanks.
The FlowFX series is total garbage, how can anyone like the sound of a child blowing raspberries? Man up and go with a 40 series if you don't mind everyone looking at you or 50 series like me if your over 40 years old...LOL
I'm 64 and I ordered a set of 3.5" Flow FX today for my 94 Sonoma, wonder if you could explain to me how a set of 40 series with multible chambers is going to be able to retain my 641hp. going thru them compared to the straight thru design of the Flow FX?
Of these 3 I like the flow fx. I hate current muffler pricing.

I bought flowfx recently as a blind purchase and after seeing this vid I can"t wait to have them installed
I just had the single in dual out FlowFX installed on my 5.4 F-150 and I love the sound of it!
ME TOO love it so much sounds so good
Flow Fx I liked !

The Flow FX hands down. Old school meets new school is what they remind me of.
Definitely the Super 40's!...Super 40's for the WIN.

Great video, I wish others muffler videos were this straight forward and no nonsense!
I have a set of the Flow fx in my 03 chevy 6.0 with cats delete, 3” pipes … and they are loud at high rpm. But sound damn good.
Where have to place fx ? Close to cat or close to exhaust tip ? I deleted both mufflers vw jetta 2.5L but still have cat and resonator.
these comparison videos are genius bro
I just got the flow fx for my dakota price is good
Awesome video!
Thanks!
I definitely prefer the Flow FX best.
Yep. I’m getting the fx
All 3 types sound good ! I like em .
I've got flow fx on my Sonata 2.0t and super 40s on my 98 sho. They both sound good. Great video.
All sound good of course. Having just went from the super 10's to the flowFX myself, you cant beat the flowFX. Cost and actual flow performance are the best perks, also slimmer body for space restrictions.
That second gear bangs hard 😮
Love the Phantom grill
Thanks!
Rick from Summerville SC. the fx I liked!!!
Super 44 is my favorite out of all the chambered mufflers they are deeper tone then the 40. The fx is better for power and less noise and rasp.
Too each their own!

40 Series Sounds the best

I just bought the FX for my 2019 Chevy Suburban 5.3L
Great video 👌🏽
I actually like the sound of the super 40's but they are the most restrictive mufflers.
I like the fx better
Super 10 for an old school sound. 40 for a period correct sound. Flow fx for a more modern sound.
0:57 2:01 2:54
Luv them all! But FX sounds to me to be the 24/7 city/off road choice

There was no pipe added to the outlet of the mufflers.
@@GM_Junky cool, thanks
That truck starts faster than a Tesla 🤣
He must have advanced the timing
Do you have cat and any other stock muffler? Or you deleted all ? And where have to place fx close to cat or close to exhaust tip for better sound ??
your transmission has a flare shift . put you a shift kit in it.
Great video. Thank you
Just got my dual Flowmaster FX 3" true dual on my 2000 gmc sierra 1500 4wd 5.3ls llwered5/5
Flowmaster FX👍
Thank you for the video
Flowmaster FX cool!
Great truck, Vid, appreciate your work...what size tires are you running
Thank you! We are running 245/35r20 on the front and 245/45r20 on the rear.
Flow fx is my favorite.
Thanks man found the one I want
I like the 10's the best then fx
Thanks
The flow fx is the best hands down, but they would all sound better if you tail pipes all the way back!
Couldn't tell the difference between the knock-off 10s and the Super 40s. The Flow FX sound the best...cut out the raspy high frequency sounds.
40 is the best sound, the glow fx second and is less restrictive
Как будет звук если поставить последовательно Glasspack далее Flowmaster 40 или 44 серии ? Пробовали?
For a proper test mufflers should be welded in as recommended by manufacturer
Sounds like a fox body with supers
1:34 2:32 3:27
Отличный звук! Хочу себе аналогичный звук на 4l., АМС242 Jeep XJ !)
that 40 though maaaaaaaan, but i bet you get more performance out of the fx
FLOW FX ... !
Super 10 all day
I just dont like the 40 series sound on most things
40s
flow fx
I. Like. Better. The. Super. 40.s. God sound.
Don't these people know never order car or truck parts off Amazon??
I don't like any of them, because I like quiet cars/trucks.

Fx gave it a nice smooth tone 👍
