I'm not sure I understand which color is B and which color is C. Color C should be thinner, correct? Is the white "V" stitch color B or color B? I'm excited to get started! I just want to make sure I get the colors right. Th and you so much for the cal. The bag is beautiful!
I meant is the white V color B or color C
Color C is the thinner yarn. A+B should be the same (or similar) yarns and C (which forms the little "v") is a thinner yarn.

How about if im using smaller size of hook and thinner yarn?
Nice bag and I am working on it but how come there you have always 12 Sts coues to me they are not always 12 Sts
I'm excited to get stared with this projectb i do have a question, how would you change this pattern slightly to make backpack type straps and still keep the over all look to the bag?

Is it ok if the mosaic yarn is the same size as the middle background?
The pattern will work fine, the base color just won't show through as much. You can do a few rounds of it to determine if you like the look or not. :)
