i recently picked up T8 and started playing Lars and felt like i was missing a lot of the more advanced nuances of his combos this couldnt have been a more perfect guide
I really appreciate your tutorials man. I've been utilizing sen 3 as my enders and get great Oki doing den 2,3,3+4. Really appreciate it from the last video
Greeting from Russia bro. I just noticed that i watched a whole video without taking notes in my notebook. Now i will rewatch it taking notes, thx for a nice video!
@@JusticeSoulTuna watched the vid twice. Superb explanations there. I still drop combos, but I'm getting better at that. Thank you for making this video. I mostly play against my friends and cousins. And so far, it seems the guide has definitely helped.
@@JusticeSoulTuna From wall to wall on the same stage i get 101 with fb21 combo, from mid screen i do one less or the same damage depending if im using fb21 or uf4. The comboes does 79 damage with no walls, and it doesnt side switch :). I use a different ender in f21 sen 3 or sen 1
Hi everyone new Lars main here, I'm having quite the hard time punishing -14 moves with f,b,2,1. I try buffering it but half the time I get hit bc I do it too early and the other half I do it too late. Any tips you guys could give wouldn't go unappreciated.
Not related to the video but have you noticed that ff2f/ws1f to SEN doesn't allow you to transition to DEN? I think that's the only time you cannot go from SEN to DEN, other times is ok.
What’s a tip to do the while running moves, because every time I try to do the FF4,2 move, as almost every guide for Lars uses this move, I keep just getting the start of F4,1. I’ve basically adapted to not using it, but I wanna start at least trying to incorporate it into practice sessions.
It's timing, mostly. If you get F4, it means you pressed it too soon, and cancelled the first F input. It's why I recommend the 1 jab combo route for FF4,2 (instead of 2 jab), because it recovers quicker. However, you mentioned 'while running' - FF4,2 isn't a running attack, just dashing. FFF is considering 'while running', like while running DEN which is FFF3+4, as I explained in the video.
Struggling to get out of battle ruler as lars. I'm really annoyed that even at this level there's still tons of players who just mash and mash their combos, often interrupting me from doing much. Any tips you all on how to deal with those players? (Especially the Reina or Haworung players)
Dealing with mashing is hard, but my recommendation is to learn what attack strings and options they keep using. I've made a Reina punish video that should help with that, because often they do a lot of unsafe things that you can even launch punish. Also, try to figure out which attacks you can use to interrput them, like 111 for example.
A lot of people do, so don't worry. The timing is tight. I recommend swapping it for 1 - FF4,2. Only 2 less damage in the overall combo and MUCH easier to confirm, because the 1 jab recovers quicker. I hope that helps.
@JusticeSoulTuna I'm using the same stage and position, so it's probably some sort of timing that affects the distance. Thanks for the quick response and the Lars guide.
Lars main here and when I tell it now make sense as to why a fff3+4 keep coming out instead of a fff+3. You taught me something dangerous lol
Knowledge is power! Very glad to help.
I appreciate that you comment how to combos work and flow vice just doing a combo montage with music in the back. Great video.
Happy to know you appreciate that - it takes a lot of effort. Thanks for watching 😁
i came here to skim through your typical combo video and ended up having an hour go by without realizing it. This is such a good guide!
Glad you stuck around! Thanks for watching.
Bro I dead ass just got Fujin right after watching this video
NICE, that's awesome. And thanks for watching 😁
i recently picked up T8 and started playing Lars and felt like i was missing a lot of the more advanced nuances of his combos this couldnt have been a more perfect guide
That's great - I was hoping this could fulfil that purpose. Thanks for watching.
this is literally the most concise entertaining and informative character guide video I have ever seen. Amazing video!
Wow, thanks! That's really high praise, I'm glad you liked it.
Real talk, you make the best T8 Lars video and explanations. Awesome job and thanks.
Thank you SO much. I seriously appreciate that.
Perfect timing! I was just thinking that I needed to improve my combos with Lars and this is the exact video I needed.
Glad I made it then 😁
I really appreciate your tutorials man. I've been utilizing sen 3 as my enders and get great Oki doing den 2,3,3+4. Really appreciate it from the last video
Great to hear! Happy to know all my videos are helping.

Of all the Tekken 8 guides i've seen on UA-cam, this is by far the best one.
I'm happy you feel that way 😁Thanks for watching.
as much as I want to do the optimal wall combo I often just drop it with the random lag I get from people. So thanks for showing the other combo
Yeah, it's why I do it often. Not much of a damage difference for a much easier combo. Thanks for watching.
This video is really well put together and helped me a lot. Easily the best guide ive watched, thank you!
That's really high praise. Really amazing of you to say that. Thanks
This is the kind of nuanced walkthrough of a character I love. This is absolutely cracked. Thank you !
Really appreciate that!
@@JusticeSoulTuna You are appreciated :)
Another guide for Lars let’s go
Always glad to be there.
bout time we get a Lars guide from JST! thanks alot for this video. time to bust out the notepad. thank you
Hope you learn a lot!
Love yours video, they help me sm to improve my lars
Glad you like them!
You deserve all the likes and follows. If you have any counter guides for tekken 8 characters as a lars or non lars main, that would be awesome
Thanks so much! That's very kind of you to say. Also, yes: my channel has several videos showing Lars punishment training against several characters.
I'm 17min into the vid. I didn't know you could cover that much distance by adding running to it. Very nice, looking forward to trying this later.
Yep, it was discovered in TEKKEN 7 and it still works here. Thanks for watching 😁
@@JusticeSoulTuna watched the vid twice. Superb explanations there. I still drop combos, but I'm getting better at that. Thank you for making this video.

hey man you covered a lot, thanks for this guide this was really helpful.
Thanks, I appreciate that 👍
got from kishin to emperor cuz of ur vids keep up the good work bro ur the goat
That's amazing, I'm glad my stuff is useful!
Me hoping for the special mention of the unblockable combo just for fun :D good video!
Haha, that would have been fun. Thanks for watching 😁
Im a huge fan of using doing den 2, df1 micro dash 2 into ff42 den1 to b3f1+2 when hitting uf4 and fb21. Gives excellent wall carry and good damage
That's not a bad option either. Does it exceed F123 option?

I’m in over my head lol. Cool to see the expert level stuff but now I’m like dang how many years would this take to get from noob to this
Just what i needed
Good to know, thanks for watching.
@@JusticeSoulTuna you welcome bro!
Thanks! very good guide!
Glad you liked it!
@@JusticeSoulTuna i hope you will make guide for pokes( i dont know im correct with this word?)
and one more question. i followed you on twitch but i didnt see any stream at my prime time. what time and Timezone do you stream?
Not a bad idea, I might considering it for the future.
And to answer your next question, I stream usually between 7pm and 11pm GMT
dam been playing Lars for a long time and never thought to do 2 3 as a ender because I would always do F12
Yep, multiple different enders grant various options.

been doing fff3+4 ever since tekken 7 and it actually works, its a little hard to do tho
Yeah it takes some getting used to, but it's very useful to know. Thanks for watching 😁
Oh yea bud. Just what I needed
Good to know. Hope it helps!
Im also Lars Main got alot of combos too i did 31 types of combo just from arc blast 😊 but got not good response on that video 😢
Not related to the video but have you noticed that ff2f/ws1f to SEN doesn't allow you to transition to DEN? I think that's the only time you cannot go from SEN to DEN, other times is ok.
Yes, it's because certain transitions are forced SEN stances, and you can't hold back to go to DEN. This is how it was traditionally since TEKKEN 6.
What’s a tip to do the while running moves, because every time I try to do the FF4,2 move, as almost every guide for Lars uses this move, I keep just getting the start of F4,1. I’ve basically adapted to not using it, but I wanna start at least trying to incorporate it into practice sessions.

When the teacher speaks, you have to listen
Haha, thanks dude
1:51 theres a slight typo in the text, "fff3+4,1" when im sure you meant to type "FF3,1"
No, that's not a typo. That's While Running DEN. I explained it at: 14:36
@@JusticeSoulTuna my fault brother, i got to that part in the video just now and that tech is pretty cool
It's alright

A lot of people do, so don't worry. The timing is tight. I recommend swapping it for 1 - FF4,2. Only 2 less damage in the overall combo and MUCH easier to confirm, because the 1 jab recovers quicker. I hope that helps.
@@JusticeSoulTunaThanks
This guide is litty mctitty homie
Thanks so much 👍
❤❤❤❤❤
Yo, the combo at 8:47 for some reason does not reach the wall when I try despite doing the exact same inputs. Does it have to be timed a certain way?
There it some timing involved, and it also depends on the stage / your distance from the wall.
@JusticeSoulTuna I'm using the same stage and position, so it's probably some sort of timing that affects the distance. Thanks for the quick response and the Lars guide.
@dxsperado okay, that's fair. That combo route is tricky. Good luck!
Don't you get better damage out of den 2 uf 4 ender instead if den 1 silent 1
Yes, slightly better. But - you have to commit/ be okay with it side-switching, and it doesn't always work from certain combo routes.
This is a Lesson. I watched only until 17:00 and it could've been a single vid
goated, my friends use victor and king and this well keep me on top 🫡
That's great, glad to help.
