    I baked this for my friend's Birthday. Everybody loved it! it was moist, tasty and the combination of lemon and sweetness of raspberry was just in the right combination. Oh, I used whipped cream frosting instead of butter cream and it made it very light and fluffy.

    I have been baking in a while due to been sick, but now I'm back and can't wait to try your recipe. You look so young to be married for almost 5 years. I truly enjoy baking and can bake Irish goodies (Born and rained in Ireland) Sephardic cooking, Italian etc. I love try new recipes so once our country is back to normal I will start cooking again.     I made you lemon cake for my wedding. I did use a different frosting for it though but at any rate, this cake was so delicious my 2 tier cake was gone in 30 min. Everyone loved it. it was just sad I wasn't able to take any home with me. thank you for sharing your recipes.

    Hi Tatyana!! I already made this cake and let me tell you is absolutly amazing! I only had a hard time with the frosting because I live in a humid place so, it went down when I had it at room temperature, so, my question for you is, what another frosting can I make whith this cake? or should I take off the cream cheese? what would you recommend me?

      Tressa's Stay at Home Life you can use but it will be more thin and cake will be not so high. You have to be carefully with time of baking.

    and could you please tell at least approximately - how much butter is there in 2 cups and 4 sticks? Is it around 400 grams?

    Great cake! I have a question. Due to food allergies in my family, we do not eat chocolate. What in your opinion could be used as a substitute? Would 6-8 oz of lemon curd work as a viable addendum? Thanks!

      +vidya naik The white chocolate just adds creaminess to the cake, not a lot of actual chocolate flavor. I do recommend adding the lemon to the frosting and using the lemon curd filling; it really compliments the sweet flavors of the cake and raspberry :)

    Hi Tatyana... I'm trying this recipe now. May I ask you a question....does the cake itself suppose to be hard? I mean it's not like an airy and moist cake, like sponge cake, for example?

      It's not as airy as a sponge cake, it will be more dense but not hard. The cake should be moist and tender

      TatyanasEverydayFood Thank you for your answer. I don't know what I have done wrong....the cake is not done in the middle. Only at the outside of the cake look good. It looked like all the flour was only on top and around the cake and all the liquid was in the middle of the cake. Anyway I have change the cake to your sponge cake and combined with this lemon butter cream. It taste great! Thank you so much.

    Tried this. As u can see the frosting, it's quite wet. Totally wet till not possible to pipe or crumb coat. I added so much more icing powder!!!!

      yeah maybe the weather was too hot. so her buttercream was too soft.

      ***** not the weather. 60ml of milk is alot to added to this recipe. its too soft. i had to add so much more icing sugar to achieve the consistency.

      +Plate Palate or add half of the amount of milk. more sugar will turn it too sweet.

      +Plate Palate oh OK. where I live the Weather is too hot. we don't work with buttercream frosting. only with Italian meringue.

    hi, I know it sounds silly what's the trick on buttercream? everytime I make them, I beat them long enough after I put the sugar but it still won't dissolve (I still can feel it when I rub it between my fingers) and I really have no idea what's wrong huhu can you please help me? thankyou :)

      +Anastasia Margareta Are you using confectioner's sugar? Make sure you use a fresh bag each time because powdered sugar clumps together very quickly from humidity!
