    "I didnt feel as important as I should have been to the rest of the world." Very true words. Only people who have experienced obesity can relate to this statement. This is something not talked about enough. Nobody wants to be a victim, which is why we dont talk about it. But, being overweight makes you invisible to your co-workers, boss, investors, etc.

    I had Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery 7 months ago and I feel like a million dollars. I was 265 1 year ago and 236 the day of surgery. I weigh 165 today, I'm only 5'6" tall. I can't believe how easy it was and very little pain. I didn't even need the pain pills once I got home. My advice for anyone having this procedure is drink a few protein drinks about 1 month prior to your 1 or 2 week liquid diet, it will make the liquid diet an easier transition. Good luck

    This video has motivated me to look into the procedure. I've been obese my whole life. I'm 26 years old, last time I went to my home country of Turkey was 10 years ago.I never wanted to go back. I felt like an embarrassment to my parents as I was the biggest one everywhere and I just felt the sorrow in people. When they ask why I haven't gone back my excuse is always work or school. It sucks because I cried when I left because I probably had one of the best times in my life being around my whole family. I've accepted myself in the States but there's so much in this world I want to do and discover. Plane rides suck because I always keep myself awake dur to not wanting to bother anyone with my sleep apnea and also the seats arent that accommodating for people of my size. Being 6'3 and 400 pounds, you're really limited to what you can do. Thank you for the inspirational video and best of luck to you in the future.

    I am so afraid, but ready and excited. I am 31 and almost 400 pounds. I have done every diet known to man. I have lost some weight, but just put it back on and I gave up. I just seen my surgeon yesterday and I am getting the sleeve done. I have 3 kids, but it is hard for me to do fun things with them. If I don't get this surgery I will end up dying of obesity. I REFUSE!! I look forward to being able to ride roller coasters with my kids again. Going on hikes, which I try to do now. But a question for all of you is... has anyone been a previous smoker? I have been for 23 years. Yes, I started as a kid. That is what worries me the most. I am quitting, you have to for the surgery. I am afraid and want to change so I don't leave my kids at an early age, I just hope it is not to late. I lost my dad to cancer and it runs in my family. But this is best for me. I can't breath, I'm always tired. I can't do fun stuff with my kids and I am so depressed because I hate myself for being fat and a smoker. But I pray this changes it all. So if you pray, please keep me in your prayers.

I realise that this will not be an easy road the next 4 and a half months, but I need it or else I am gonna die very young (25 ATM). Hi, how are you ? This bariatric surgery is a medical error, just as errors occur in any other profession. I have two acquaintances of mine who died because of this surgery. One had little stomach and when she went to eat a snack, the little stomach she had was unable to digest it, and then she got severe pains in her stomach, feeling sick and died. The other acquaintance of mine, became weak and when she ate, her intestines could no longer retain nutrients from food and she died of malnutrition. And when she was alive, she kept passing out fainting from weakness, even eating and eating right. Her stomach became small and so the body did not absorb food for it to survive. With so little stomach left in it, they cut a part of it out, and didn’t keep the tissue to be frozen, so that if she eventually needed to undo the surgery, put it back in it again. So how do you do it? And there was another one that I forgot to mention. That the internal scar of the surgery became very thin and broke, causing her stomach to fall into her body and she died instantly. I do not know how they have not yet banned this surgery, with so many people who give problems, after they went through it. Not to say them all. Be careful. Why go through this? Dieting, without being radical and exercising, is the best thing. And examine the patient to see why he doesn't lose weight. I currently, when I eat only two tablespoons of rice on the plate and eat at regular times. It helped me a little to maintain the weight. Hugs

      Alfred Hernandez are you sure it’s a good choice because I’m 20 years old and around 420lbs. I think I’m getting to old to lose this weight naturally.... I made just get to 600 lbs and go down to dr. Now for help.

    People over weight must fix the gut in order loss the weight naturally. All the food choices that created the excess weight destroyed a lot of good microbes, it must be put back to work in losing weith

      Gendo3s2k depending on his height, he’s most likely within that 18.5-25 BMI, I saw 180 when he stepped on the scales, so he’s most likely good. Compared to his before pics, he looks underweight, but in reality that’s what he should look like.

      Randy Pascasio he’s fine and not underweight, I’ve talked to him already on social media. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on 4/30/19, I was 306 the day of surgery, on 8/6/19 I was 240, so 66 lbs down in a little over 3 months. I’m 6’0”, even at my current weight of 240, my BMI is still in the 32 range, I’ve come a long way since my highest weight of 325 which put my BMI at 44, but i am still obese at 240, my current goal is around 200 lbs which would still put me in the overnight category, but who knows, I might just aim for 180 which puts me at a 25 BMI for my height, but for now the goal is 200-205 which is still considered overweight for my height, but no longer obese. I should be there by November assuming I keep dropping at my current rate. I don’t know how tall you are, but 240 is still pretty heavy, I tell you this because that’s my current weight and although I feel way better than when I was 300+ lbs, I still have a way to go. Let me know if you have any questions, I’m 3+ months post op already, I will tell you that it’s been worth it so far.

    Well I guess I’ll just sit here and stew with my mere 68 pounds natural weight loss in the past 9 months or so when these people lost 150 pounds in 6 months from surgery. And to think people actually say that weight loss surgery is not an easy way out. Give me a break...

      @STILLNIGHTPEARL 5 років тому +5

      microsickful lol don’t hate, if you can do it on your own then that’s good for you. 68 lbs in 9 months is really good, you obviously have some discipline, and whatever plan that you have going on seems to be working.

      Alfred Hernandez thanks I appreciate it really. I guess my frustration mainly comes from me thinking that it’s not “fast” enough. I am a 6ft4 male that started out at a little over 330 pounds and now I am 262 pounds. Considering my initial weight I thought I would have lost more by now. I am mainly doing weight training so maybe that’s why. Still, having worked REALLY hard in the gym and eating more healthy and fighting cravings, there is just no way that my initial reaction to this video would be anything other than annoyance since I don’t believe for one second if anyone says that these people worked harder than I did...

      microsickful it’s really all diet man, like today I probably had in total 600-700 calories, I got my protein in, and I got my liquids in for the most part, but I couldn’t do it if I didn’t get the surgery done, but having the sleeve done makes eating a lot less so much easier. I’m 6’0”, I was 325, I lost about 20 lbs on my own before the surgery, had my surgery on 4/30, I weighed 306, weighed myself one week out on 5/7 and I was already at 290, it definitely was all diet because I was only walking around my neighborhood, it’s pretty crazy how much easier the weight comes off, I also feel way better across the board, sleep better, have more sex drive, I don’t even have these headaches anymore, that just tells me that processed junk food is the worst for you, does absolutely nothing good. At your height I wouldn’t want to be less than 220 anyways, so even at around 260 ish you must look pretty good already, my goal weight is 205 for my height. My problem was always the food, working out I was doing 1 hr cardio 5-6 days a week, the exercise wasn’t a problem, but you can only drop so much on a crappy diet.

      microsickful you should get into running 🏃, some type of cardio, I think you’ll drop even more, I dropped 20 lbs just doing cardio before the surgery.

      @@microsickful the the surgery you'll lose the weight faster, sure, but if you mess up your diet or fall off the wagon you'll have immediate, seriously painful medical complications. That lifestyle/portion/diet overhaul becomes a mandatory lifelong commitment whether you want to quit or not.
