I’m a woman, but you and I literally have the EXACT same hair and I even part mine in the same way. That’s so hard to find. Finally! Thank you for this 😊
I could not understand the curly girl method at all!!! This video explained it so much better for me and i love that you also mentioned the steps we can skip.. I know this is a men's community, but my hair is just like yours
It's always fascinating to see how other people take care of their hair! Sometimes I put my damp hair in a bun, let it dry and it comes out super curly. Love your detailed tips!
YES! Man, this video couldn't have come sooner. I have nearly the exact hair type as you and have gotten compliments on my waves/curls, but haven't figured out a way to maintain them over a week. Now funnily enough, I already own the B&B Sunday Shampoo and it works wonders on my oily and thick hair. Speaking of oily hair, I would absolutely love a video on how to properly manage oily hair over a week. I haven't thought to use clarifying shampoo more than once a week but searching for a good shampoo + conditioner for the other 1-2 times I'll wash during the week just isn't working out for me at the moment. Thanks for the continued content!
I have been looking for a lightweight curl styling product for my fine hair for sooooo long. I'm definitely going to try this curl cream! Thanks for another awesome video, Trav!!!
Sir, I've never had my wavy hair look so bouncy, gorgeous, and shiny until I watched your video. I've watched soo many to try and help my waves and every product left my hair crunchy or wet looking. The bumble & bumble product you recommended left my hair bouncy, soft, & glossy. Thank you!!
Looks very similar to how I do mine. Just before applying curl cream though, I usually put some more water with a spay bottle, cause like you I have fine hair, and when removing towel I have some sections that are almost dry already. That way it's easier to apply cream, you can even use a little less, and overall better waves. Keep rocking Trav, thanks for this video I might try this BB cream one day!
I am a woman, but love your content, even though it is geared more towards men. You really seem to know your stuff. Do you have any recommendations for channels that have some focus around female hair care? It’s hard to find people that seem as knowledgeable as you are
Omg I can’t wait to try some of your suggestions out. My hair is like yours and I have never known what to do. I have tried to use curl creams but they were always too heavy. I use managed/straightened/curled my hair for years.
Thanks for the tutorial Travis and for the links to the products you use. Guess I'm going to have another brand of shampoo/conditioner to try. I'm getting quite the collection since I started growing my hair out 2 yrs ago. I just ordered thru Formulate so I'm excited to see if it will be the one.
Thank you! This is the look I want to achieve so I will be looking into these products as I'm still figuring out what works best for my hair as its growing, still a long way to go but hoping to get that dialled in when I reach my desired length.
Hey Trav my hairline on my temples has receded a little more then my other one , I am in the realisation process now it’s kinda sucks man but at the end of the day it is what is , but that thought of getting a hair transplant is always in my thoughts just think there’s no point doing it now as I am 22 and by 25 it could be worse so I’ll wait a few years but been watching your vids and gaining more knowledge on my hair and just becoming a healthy person I’m general
As a person with very wavy hair (to a point where some strands go into spirals), i look for stuff that would weight my hair down as much as possible to lessen the curls. Id rather have more straight hair than curls. Cant even tie my hair properly, i get so many hairs coming out and i start looking like a clown
we have the exact same hair and i've always known i should be diffusing, but never wanted to go through with it bc my curls always get destroyed while I sleep. i put a silk/satin night cap on with my hair spun up in a clip and wake up with the night cap on the floor along with the clip LOL i guess i fight battles in my sleep
Nice video Trav! Couple of questions : you mention that you don't brush dry hair anymore, do you also mean that you don't brush between washes? How do you detangle your hair on a daily basis? Also, I'm wondering what makes you think that your hair is actually wavy when you have to do all this work for the waves to be there? How do you separate the nature of your hair from the effect of the routine? Cheers
With a wavy hair routine i don't detangle daily because that would break the waves. I only detangle every few days now (when I wash). Re: curl pattern - I do the work to ACCENTUATE the waves. If I did nothing it would still be wavy they just wouldn't look as "polished". If someone with pin straight hair did this routine it wouldn't look as wavy without hours of curling irons and lots of hair spray. Ultimately these are styling methods to bring out our natural curl patterns more.
Any tips to stop it falling infront of your face on day 2+? I can keep it up and out the way similar to your right pic 0:12 but day after washing, it falls flat and infront and looks bad unless it's constantly being moved back, or it's tied back ie half up/half down.
I have between 1a and 1b with almost chin length hair with the ends flipping outward. I’m growing it out a little past my shoulders. Will I be able to hold this wavy style. I love it!
Hey dude. Love your channel. My hair type is virtually identical to yours. Quick question on your use of products: I'm surprised to see that you only use a nickel-sized amount of curling cream for hair as long as yours. I may be using too much. On subsequent days after you have washed your hair, what is your product/style routine? Are you adding more curling cream? If I put product in it every day, it will eventually weigh the hair down, but doing nothing to it will leave it looking messy.
Hi Trav my hair was as long as yours but my mum died and I cut my hair then my cat died I cut my hair then my baby joey a Maltese dog died I cut my hair I look a mess I’m growing it now , how long did you grow your hair and how many times did you get a trim in a year , I hope you reply
This works very well for me too ! Thanks for the video. I have a question. Now that you use this technique, how often do tou brush your air ? Because I noticed that brush tend to destroy the curv
Hey Trav. Is Tek brushes better than those cheap ones made of bamboo? 🤔 And what length of pins should I go for, I have a mix of straight and 2a fine, medium length hair?😀
Yeah pretty sure I'm a 2a I have a lot of wave in the back my hair also used to be like a 2b kind of wave when I was young and it grew out into a mulletish type style
I recently bought the bb light defining cream curl. My hair looks like yours at then end. It still looks kind of damp and doesn’t dry and is crunchy. Does your hair dry normally with this curl cream or is it crunchy feeling? Good video, thanks.
i have i think 2a hair, barely wavy but wavy, i have long long hair and it presses my "weaves" down and it looks like i have straight hair, but on ends and lower part of lenghts its wavy, idk what to do
Trav I was scrolling through UA-cam and found this video. I am currently growing out my hair and noticed its curly. Main question I have though is that when I was my hiar and rinse it do I use hot, medium, or cold temp water?
what do you do on nights you don't wash ? I assume you still condition and everything like normal, do you still braid it even then ? My problem is sleeping on my hair, which usually messes it up, but I can't figure out a comfortable way to protect it + sleep on it.
I know this is a late comment but is this weekly, or everytime you wash your hair you add the cream/spray? fairly new to long hair but i've joined the community and i'm ready to learn :)
Love the videos, I have had an undercut for the past 4 years and decided to grow the rest of it out. The top is extremely long but I'm at the awkward stage underneath. Any advice?
Same waves on my hair...and it's so annoying to see all these videos with people with much waiver hair and it's not as helpful coz they're all loaded up on heavy curl creams and multiple products, and that can be too heavy on my waves. Large Wavy hair I think is far more annoying to care for then curly, coz they're so temperamental and don't last long at all. Like if I add even the slightest bit too much product or don't dry it properly it falls flat and looks like a mess. And honestly my waves form better after I bleached my hair. Made my hair porous so it actually absorbs the product better and enhances the waves easier. But then it's now dry and I need to figure it out. I'll definitely try the bumble and bumble. I have a few of their products. But haven't tried that one coz my hair isn't fine. Its a bit more course and really thick. But I may give that a shot lol. My dad has hair liek yours, fine and wavy, but my mom's is course and really curly, so I think I have a hybrid of the large 2a-2b waves but with thick more course hair. And maybe that's why it's an extra challenge....lol
Occasionally as a pre-shampoo yes. Coconut oil is amazing for specific hair type. Mainly high and medium porosity. If your hair is low porosity, coconut oil will probably be a nightmare
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could give me tips, my hair is on the medium end for length maybe about 7 inches at its longest point in the back and it’s a pretty straight but curls upwards at the ends, what type of hair is that? And does the curl indicate a of a different type of hair type when longer?
Hello Trev i have really fine 2a/2b hair that most of the time curls by itself if I don't use any products that weigh them down but for some reason my hair just breaks apart very easily in the shower or whenever its wet, I honestly can barely touch it with hair breaking. Is it still going to be safe to try and comb it with a wooden brush when its wet with conditioner on it?
It shouldn't be breaking that easily. Either there's some damage or it's just shedding. Look for a little white bulb at the end of the hair strands. It could be naturally shed hair.
I dont know trav but my hairs in recent days after I wash my after the next 1 or 2 day my hair gets super dirty even when I comb, my comb collects a lot of dirt can you suggest whats the problem
@@kyoon-chan2512 I clean my comb everytime I shower and I have a really bad habit of running my finger through my hair again and again I would try to stop that

Actually I think he's more helpful than a woman when it comes to hair 😅
Ditto. I searched “what to do with my fine 2A or 2B hair”. I am so tired of having to straighten or use a curling iron I order to look decent. 😂
I second this motion. Since his hair is similar to mine.
This was my thought too! His hair looks exactly what I have.. And he's been more helpful than most women's videos
I came here to say this!

Can you make a video on how you wrap your hair into a little ball?
Could you not try a wide tooth comb first when conditioning does less breakage ?
You could do that too. Tek is incredibly gentle on your hair too
This works very well for me too ! Thanks for the video.
I have a question. Now that you use this technique, how often do tou brush your air ? Because I noticed that brush tend to destroy the curv
My hair type is 1, does this routine work for me
If your hair does not have natural curls, you can't do a hair routine to make them. You'll have to do alternative routes, sorry.
Hello Trav, any advice on Type 1? My hair is super straight but I only like it big and wavey!
My hair is also fine and oily maybe I don't give enough nutrition but I do tend to lose more hair when wet brushing
All this work to barley have any different and for it to go away when you sweat
Quick question, how often and what days would you do this?
Everyday? Only wash days if so does it last until the next wash day?
I also tried prose and it made my hair feel like straw 😊😅
Do u use a heat protectant?
Dose anyone know how often that you should do this to your hair like the shampoo and conditioner part
What is the brand name for the polo shirt you're wearing in this vid? Need to cop one myself😎

I use it in my hair and it works better than anything else.
How about going from wavy to straight?
