- In this video I go through to steps to remove and install a new Downpipe on this 2001 Audi TT quattro. It is very simple to do. Even though I am working on a lift, you can easily get the subframe and downpipe off while the car is on jackstands.
Great explanation very thorough
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Hey Will ! What a great informal video! Keep them coming! Hope you are having yourself a great work week! 💕
Hey, thanks for stopping by, guys. I have been putting more effort into this channel lately. Britt is not happy since she does the family channel edits. It has, however, created a bit of a competition, though. Lol 😆 new #FFF videos are coming very soon, though.
Great video, will help a lot. You should have deleted the cat 😊
Great, Glad it helped. As for the cat delete, was a customer car so stock is the way to go. And on these small displacement engines the cat delete does not gain much if any at all. Thanks for watching.
@@willpoweredgarage969 Thanks for additionnal information 👍
Great video were are you located need to change my in 2001 TT I'm in new jersey.
Thanks for watching, Im located on longisland!
@@willpoweredgarage969 Ah. I'm on li. I need to put my downpipe in my tt. Where are you located?
How long should i expect this to take
Figure about 3-4 hours depending on your skill level and any issues with rust and such.
what is the part number of the oxygen sensor
Depends on your model year, as there is a change in the 2001 model year I think. Most will use this part number 1K0 998 262.
Hi, did you replace the stretch bolts for the sub frame? I'm just wondering if it is realistically necessary as I will be carrying out this job...
No, I did not. When I worked in the dealer, we never did either. The manual says to, but It's really up to you to decide if you want to spend the money on a few bolts. Thanks for watching and the comment.
@@willpoweredgarage969 thanks for the reply. Very helpful thanks
What is the labor cost on this job
About 2.5hrs but often inflated when it comes to older cars. This is because much of the hardware is rusted and hard to remove.
