The first combination of music and television 🎶🎶😎 I could always count on 2 entire Monkee's songs per episode! Good, clean humor! 4 musically talented, funny, good-looking guys that stick together! The best tv show ever! And great in concert!!💞🎶💞🎶
THIS is what someone in "the biz" sounds like WITHOUT EGO. Clear, coherent, compassionate, empathetic. LOVE! ✌💜👊 Mickey...Thank You for not ever being a douche. Would love to see the wood-work you love and give you a sheckle or two for it.
Great interview with Micky that I had never seen or heard before! I was lucky enough to have met he, Davy Jones and Peter Tork several years at an autograph signing and also saw them in concert back in 1986 for their 20th Anniversary Tour in Pittsburgh.
I was a huge fan of Mickey growing up in the 80s watching "the Monkees" reruns. I loved his voice and the harmonies of the songs. I understand the lack of street cred. But, they had great writers, wrote some of their own, had great session players recording and really have chemistry- vocally imo, and charisma. A good product is a good product.
Micky Dolenz un monkee extraordinario, talentoso, encantador, excelente grandioso en la música, con una gran voz inconfundible!! I love❤ Micky Dolenz!!!
2:57. LOL. Mickey's always been a good interview but I'd never seen this one before. Hilarious and insightful, from one of my all time favorite people.
At this time, Mickey was part of a group that hang out at a Hollywood club, I believe the Trubadour that included himself, John Lennon, Alice Cooper, and Harry Neilsen.
Micky is showbiz-literally, if you'd like to hear Micky in an interview w less of his usual stock answers check him out on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast, he did two of them.
You should have fact-checked your description of this video. Peter Tork was the most musically accomplished member of the group, and Last Train To Clarksville came before I'm A Believer.
While fully aware of that fact re Tork (and Dolenz acknowledged this), my opinion is that talent-wise Nesmith and Dolenz were indisputably creative geniuses and for what it's worth, Davy Jones like Tork were amazing talents and central to the success of the Monkees. You're right though about Last Train released before Believer
Mickey is such an underrated singer due to his comedy chops on The Monkees.
I think Mickey is the greatest that could listen to him talk all day
Agreed!
Micky looks and is so young here ! Micky still looks great even now and is the last Monkee left from the group !
Very nice! I enjoy seeing 70s interviews featuring The Monkees. It's great that Micky is still going strong even 50 years after this interview.
Micky has always complimented other people in the business that have surrounded him, even to this very day. He never holds back praises from anyone.

“Got off the plane just long enough to get over a hangover.”
That must have been one mother of a hangover!
So articulate!!!

Aaahh he’s beautiful 😍 thick hair, big smile and that earring..🥰

I remember when Mickey was on the show "Circus Boy". His face really hasn't changed
Two legends together - Micky Dolenz and Whispering Bob Harris!
And both thankfully still with us...........at time of writing this :/
Great interview loved it❤

I LOVE Watching the monkey TV Shows and I like Davy Jones and Mickey D..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
Same here💯! Micky and Davy😍😍❤️❤️❤️!
Bob Harris! This is The Old Grey Whistle Test!
Cool😎
He was rehearsing the answers he'd be giving to the same questions he'd be asked over & over & over again for 50+ years. Otherwise decent interview.
It's the truth. He gives pretty much the same answers today.

Micky got a birthday coming up
Peters been living in the woods with little girls. 🤣 finally someone makes jokes about how weird Peter was.
he sounds like he’s on something haha
You think? Maybe just coming down.
@@Bigbadwhitecracker Micky did write in his book that he "smoked acres" of pot during that time period (early 70's)
He says he’s hung over and jet-lagged.
I always thought the interviewer was a bit of a downer.

Mike was the strongest songwriter.
If you haven't seen it, there's a video on YT from I think 2011 of Peter playing a Bach on a theater organ. Simply amazing!!
Hey Hey it,s a Monkee post Monkee
5-year odd series? Where are the three missing seasons? 😂😂😂
Brilliant?
No, fun and silly.
@@Bigbadwhitecracker As with all Micky interviews 😁
I wouldn't say it was brilliant but okay to look at if you're interested.
hes out of it
If he can recall that Peter was living north of San Francisco in Mill Valley then he's not "out of it".
BEST INTERVIEW WITH A MONKEY! Just saw a bit of a small bit with Mickey old.Not good.
Why? I mean, he is old.
