What a genuine human being, RIP Peter.
We walked the monkee walk all the way home from school
I think the years of booze & drugs contributed to his demise.
No.
Years of drinking I’m sure led to his cancer
It did not have anything to do with it. It was a “rare cancer.”
RIP Peter Tork. A lovely man by all accounts. Another part of childhood bites the dust!
Exactly how I feel. So many former teen idols dying 😢
Agreed. This hurts.
I know that Davey Jones was the most popular Monkee but Peter Tork was always and will forever be my favorite! Rest In Peace Dear Sweet Peter!
They're all my favourite now but when I first saw the show, it was definitely Peter.
Mine to🌹😢
He was one of my big crushes!
Definitely the best musician of them.
Peter was - and IS - absolutely my FAVE too!!! I wonder who are the idiots who downvoted this???
How adorable is he here ~ Rest in Peace dear Peter
I met him in the early 90's. Really nice guy. It's so sad we all have to age and get old. RIP Peter.
Was my favorite Monkee....he was a very good musician.
Twenty nine years sober at that time and stayed sober til the end. That's something to smile about.
Rest in Love, Peter. You will always be loved and missed.
Lovely man. RIP Peter, thanks for the memories.
I was blessed to meet Peter Tork back in 2004, and see him live in concert at Waterfest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I will never forget that special moment. Rest in peace Peter, you'll be truly missed 😢🙏♥
Now he is free of Cancer & everything..
The guys were struggling musicians only to be usurped by 40's generation TV executives.
R.I. P. Peter. You were Awesome!
Have fun rockin with Davy Mr Music Tork
Death sucks!
Peter was a real talent, and he will be missed.
Got the chance to meet him, talk with him and pose with him in 92. He was on the same bill as my friend's Beatles Tribute Band. It was a wonderful night
😳☮️
What a talented guy. R.I.P.
Definitely THE BEST interview with Peter I've ever seen! This is the one that best reveals the person he really is. Many thanks for sharing!!!
Peters live version of pleasant valley Sundays is gantastic
and fantastic r. l
RIP PETER 🙏🏿❤️
A better man than I ever knew!
I wish I would’ve told you Peter how much you meant to me when I was 16. It was the 80s, Monkees were on rerun on Nick at Night. You were my favorite. ❤️❤️❤️ maybe I’ll see you on the other side, Lord willing.
As Mike said to Peter in this episode (ua-cam.com/video/KNWC0VIBnrg/v-deo.html): "if you love music, you can play music". Peter lived that quote.
an amazing man , very interesting person
Love you Peter and ummm hello Rock n Roll H O F?!?! HEADQUARTERS and albums after was them playing n writing so let’s get them in.... they deserve it
RIP Peter 🙏🏿❤️ Loved growing up listening and watching you with the Monkees Thank you!
With Davy, Peter and Mike's passing, I feel like my childhood has gone. Hard to deal with some days.
I feel the same. Maybe it doesn't pay to live too long and watch as all your loved ones die off. I've lost two already this years in January and March. (And Mike left in December.) Just heartbreaking. 😢
I understand totally. It's very hard. I lost a daughter 5 years ago April 2 and I'm still dealing with that one. Although I'm not related to the MONKEES....I loved them. Nearly 70 now I am enjoying their show again. They make me smile. I'll keep you in my prayers.🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@brendajones7111 Thank you so much. This has been a tough year. My condolences on your losss. 💙 My daughter let me know she just had to have her 15 year old dog put down, too. On top of that the pandemic goes on. I also fractured my hip in February and am working hard to learn to walk again without a walker or cane. Better days are coming for us all, I pray! 🙏
Thank you. Be in touch anytime. 🙏
@@brendajones7111 Thank you. You are very kind. I hope it gets easier for you, not that it will ever be "easy." You know what I mean. ❤️
I have enjoyed listening to and watching you since the 60's Peter. It was a lot of fun. God bless you.
Thank you so very much for this post! I always Loved his song "For Pete's Sake" and I discovered that he re-recorded it. I love his arrangement and I play it frequently. God Bless Him!!! He is a tongue cancer survivor as I am. He's an inspiration to me in many ways!
Peter mentions that he left the group to do music and that the others didn't want to do that. In the end that's exactly what all of them did.
I'm not sure that's the 'They' he was talking about...
I hope he knew how much HE was loved ...not the 'image of him' but the real him.
And he still has that dimple on his right cheek.
Amazing man..Thank you..
I wish Peter and them all the best. Thanks for entertaining me for so long.
@5:05 in that photo Peter is reading "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda (if you don't know about that book look it up) Peter was definitely a "seeker." RIP Peter T.
Very enlightening book. Everyone should read it.
This clip illustrates so well just how talented a musician Peter was, and I can now understand why he left The Monkees after two years. He wanted to pursue music seriously.
Peace be upon to you, Peter, thanks for your laughter & the joy you brought millions around the world.
And thanks for all the good time memories growing up as a kid!
Met him once...nice man...R.I.P.
He was my favorite Monkee. He's old but still a cutie.
My favourite.
Good Actor
For Pete’s Sake...RIP
My first guru
God I miss you
what a sweetheart
RIP p tork
I've never wanted to know Peter personally more than now. Every interview with him, i hear myself saying "yeah, me too". But i could never say that about musical instruments. I own many, and play none well. Peter is a natural, passionate instrument of music himself. He's more endearing than ever, and is once again my favorite Monkee. So SO sad that my first crush, Davy, is gone, because now we'll never get to see the Monkees play together again. Another sad goodbye. Please stick around Peter.
Rest in peace, Peter!
What a lovely man!
Peter Tork a true musician
RIP
An amazing man. An amazing talent. The heavens are blessed to have this man in their home.
I met him back in the 90´s. RIP Peter
Everything about that man is so gorgeous.
Got my picture taken with him in 82
Peter, glad to see you enjoying life. Would love to meet you one day. And you still have those beautiful brown eyes that make me *swooooooon*
did you ever get to meet him :/
@@unforgivenxiv i was gonna ask the same thing :((
3.15. That's when the Peter we knew appears. A good interview.
Yea. Looks don’t mean much.
Everyone’s got to go [that way], unless they freeze you at 21......lifeless though.
Heard a story of a little boy who visited Heaven in the NDE after a car accident(
he said all people’s There look real young........amazing.
Ok Then Peter & Davy........
Young 21 year olds again, this time forever.
Excellent. I wish there were more interviews with Peter like this one. Fantastic job. Thank you for posting. Luv you Mr.Tork.
Is it just me or does Peter remind you of My favorite Martian? RIP Peter you gave us all smiles watching you and the other guys on The Monkees..
Cool Peter Rest In Peace
Love that look at the end. Miss him alot, sweetest person.
Lovely man ☺️
Peter Tork was very talented and huge inspiration.
Davey died 5 days after my dad in February 2012. Peter died 3 days after my mom in February 2019. Talk about losing your childhood all at the same time. May they all rest in peace
Wow, so sorry for your loss. It never goes away, does it?
I knew that Peter was the most accomplished musician. He is a musical genius. What a great man!!! Love you Pete Torkelson!!!
He's as charming as ever. Long life and health to you, Peter.
By now he should have been pronounced as "cured" from the cancer. Not sure how many years you have to be cancer free for that.
Glad he educated people about his kind of cancer. The kind he had has now gone from "very rare" to the 5th most common to where head/neck screenings are becoming routine.
sadly they tend to come back , some become other forms but a lot of times they come back.
Sadly it came back and took his life.
Once, Peter loaned $25K to David Crosby to buy a boat. I wonder if the loan ever was ever repaid? RIP Peter Tork
RIP Peter
OMG another
.I want to stop the clock
Rest easy buddy. "Love you," Pete. Michael
Peter Tork a true musician
....you angel....YOU AAAAANGEL! ....A Wonderfully talented 'Monkee', and, A kind SOUL... (RIP)
Rip Peter a d Davy
A true artist....RIP
I love his adoration of the blues especially with that idea so many people are all about that no one CAN be or allowed to be down or bummed out or in a bad mood. I still find that so bogus and bizarre. We are all human and bad moods exist, we can't eradicate them by denying them outright. He is very correct!
It's nice to see him in good shape,k better than me and I'm younger than him. But a musician as well, if the gear available now was there for him at the beggining I think he would have gone very far with the talent he has. $250,000 then is $1500 now. But when a musician survives like he has, I'm always ready to celebrate. Sorry Peter, but I'm lighting up in your honour, and it's legal so don't worry. Besides, my specialist insists I smoke weed.
RIP Peter 💔
This world has lost a very talented man,R.I.P. Peter xxx
God love ya, Peter!
What a gent! How we miss you, Peter.
...God bless Peter Tork...
Thats my man! Peter Tork! I LOVE THE MONKEES!
que épocas ... Los Monkees... todos un buen trabajo. y Peter. siempre muy simpático. y guapísimo
SUPER! STELLAR and still has those dimples! "Just like mine" he told me--March 8, 1980, with 26 French kisses and 3 hours of bliss... Oh, man he was SOMETHING! I was 16 and utterly mezmerized by him He was so beautiful Kim
Steven Still of Crosby Stills and Nash as well as Buffalos Springfield as friend of Peter tried out for the Monkees show told peter to audition and the rest is history.. No Charles Manson didn't audition, that was a joke my Mickey that stuck...Also did you know that David Jones changed is last name to Bowie so not to be confused with Davey Jones? Well now you do.. Rip Peter, Davey and Mike.
Very nice interview with such a nice and extremely talented guy. Never saw this before. Thanks for sharing.
I loved him
RIP Pete!
what a cool guy
Greatly missed. Rest in peace, Peter.
I always liked this man from day one. I'm jealous of those who had the privilage to meet him. Rest in peace.
Everyone else has already said it better than I can. . . .you're in our hearts Peter. xo
Just Peter.
Great interview!!! I miss Peter very much too!!
beautifully said and done!!
I wondered what happened to Leeza. She was in NZ in the late 80's and appeared on a Telethon fundraiser here.
Rest in peace, Peter. You are greatly missed. 💙💙💙
Stellar human being.
