Ford Escape V6 Valve Cover Gaskets, Near Disaster and Curious Find

2006 Ford Escape 3.0 V6. Same as the Mazda Tribute. Both valve cover gaskets were leaking so I changed them for new Felpro ones. Not too bad of a job, although always a pain in a transverse mounted V6.
