Frank, the main reason why African have issues with belly fat is that the staple foods are quite starchy. Starchy foods are calorie dense and most Africans are not physically active enough to burn off the excess calories they consume everyday. Check out the footballers. See how slim they are. Why...because they are quite active and they are able to burn off the excess calories consumed daily. Sedentary lifestyle is a serious problem. All of you viewing this advise REALLY should trust what this doctor is saying! Speaking as a great-grandmother, I've found that EVERYTHING Dr. Joe is saying in this video to be TRUE! You should follow this advice while it's still relatively easy! The 'battle of the bulge' is very REAL! The only thing I find missing from this is that you should maintain peace of mind, look within yourself for happiness & share the love you gain with others while you continue to work on that belly!💙
Complex carbohydrates ie all grains (bread, oats), pasta, sugar, potatoes, rice. Eat just green leafy vegetables, salads, low sugar veg (not starchy sweet ones ie carrots, parsnips, squash). Protein like fish, meat but well sourced. Fats - yes fats as they don't spike insulin so cream, olive oil, butter. Fats + complex carbs = weight gain especially visceral fat (around the organs) Best nuts are macadamia and pecan Best seeds chia and flax (high in omega 3)

Please watch this video which puts this into perspective ua-cam.com/video/qDxkMflSwy4/v-deo.html

Thank you, Carol
@@drjoetvMD I totally trust and respect your advice! I really wish I had a primary care physician that way about...💯
My belly getting big like I am pregnant
You're likely gaining fat. But you should see your doctor to ensure nothing else is going on
Complex carbohydrates ie all grains (bread, oats), pasta, sugar, potatoes, rice. Eat just green leafy vegetables, salads, low sugar veg (not starchy sweet ones ie carrots, parsnips, squash). Protein like fish, meat but well sourced. Fats - yes fats as they don't spike insulin so cream, olive oil, butter.
Fats + complex carbs = weight gain especially visceral fat (around the organs)
Best nuts are macadamia and pecan
Best seeds chia and flax (high in omega 3)
Thank you for your contribution
Heeeeh without rice my life is over😱
Doc where are you gonna take all those "examples" 🤣

Dr Joe Excellent advice. I love the fact you present the evidence. However, could you please make a video telling what you should eat, or what you did eat? (from 50s male who looks like you)
See the plate of food here ua-cam.com/video/qDxkMflSwy4/v-deo.html and here are food examples ua-cam.com/video/SpXO0p-IviA/v-deo.html and if you like pasta, see this ua-cam.com/video/fvkqUY7qdv8/v-deo.html
