This concept works. I like to eat all of the healthy thing first, and save the junk food for last. That way, I really only end up eating very little bit of the junk food because I just can't stomach it. Sometimes it's only a nibble.
This video sounds great, coincidentally this is the plan l adopted few years ago and l have lost 13kg amazingly. May l say , you are a great teacher full of knowledge. I appreciate every of your videos. Well done Dr Joe

So in my case I just don't eat them. But I cut them out gradually over time. Thanks for a year of inspiring and wonderful videos.
That's true for some people, Colleen, but if you fill your stomach with the healthy foods, it will just be impossible to eat more of those naughty foods. You'll fill nauseous afterwards if you push it so hard

Hi Dr.Joe, fabulous idea and fabulous video. I like the other one that you put up on Friday as well with the rules for permanent fat loss. There’s no question about it that as an American I was eating processed foods, and some of them were from the Whole Foods Market side thought they were OK but when I really looked on the box of the carb count, they were not there were certain ingredients in them that surprised me. I enjoyed the zoom session as well. Happiest of holidays to you and your family. 🌸💜🌸💜🌸🙏!

Would love a recipe for a healthy salad dressing Dr. Joe! I usually eat my salads without dressing or use extra virgin olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette. As I usually eat very healthy anyway, I cheat occasionally with either chocolate or vegan fruit cake😋😉. My job allows me to walk between 7-18,000 steps 6 days per week, which is good for me🚶🏿♀️. Great and informative video. I am a Pescetarian so I can form my diet around the various plant based and fish and seafood diet. I like my biscuits for snacks but there is a limit to how much biscuit to be consumed. Plantain chips is another sin I commit regularly. I walk every day or sometimes every other day 5000 - 8000 steps. This has helped me maintain my weight steadily for many years. Thanks so much for your educative video...always learning from them.

Happy new year 🥂🥳 I’ve had Bariatric surgery in 2018 and yes I had to lose some weight beforehand (to reduce my liver). After surgery - I was 110kg and went down to 65kg - lost quickly in first year but slows down over last year or so and since lockdown, (doctors say it takes approx 2 years to level your weight). I’m now 75kg but with our second lockdown I now find I’m starting bad eating habits again. Thanks for your video 👍🏽💪🏾🇬🇧
I really like the principles behind this diet. It seems great to prioritise eating the healthy stuff & take one step at a time but like a lot of people I have health problems & am certainly not well enough to walk 3 miles. One mile would be a huge challenge. I have chronic fatigue syndrome.
You can try, Sarah. You can. Half a mile first for a couple of weeks, then 1 mile for another couple of weeks, then 1 and a half. So on and so forth. Little baby steps. The weather is brightening up and warming up now as spring is here. Seize the opportunity. Don't give in to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. You'll be amazed at how your muscles will adapt over time
@@drjoetvMD My Chronic Fatigue System is very severe, some days I can hardly manage even around the house & I have had it for more than 35 years so it is unlikely to go away but I think that I could try to do a little more on my better days. Here is one of my healthy recipies, which I enjoy, & hope others will. It is suitable for people on a low FODMAP diet, so may suit those with I.B.S. It is for a crustless quiche. You will need 6 free range eggs, a little cheese, some milk of whatever type you use, a packet of baby spinach & two large red or red/yellow peppers. Prepare the spinach by washing, if necessary, & then snip it into ribbons using scissors, & put into a large mixing bowl. Break three eggs into the mixing bowl, add a splash of milk, add a little grated cheese, season & mix thoroughly. Pour this 'green' layer of the mixture into your ovenproof dish & smooth down. Slice the red/yellow peppers into strips & put aside. Break the remaining three eggs into the mixing bowl & add a splash of milk, season & mix thoroughly. Put half of the pepper strips into the bowl & mix with the eggs & then pour into your cooking dish & smooth down again. Grate a little cheese onto the quiche & then arrange the remaining pepper strips on the top. Bake on gas mark 5/180c, or a little higher, untill the middle becomes firm enough & the peppers are soft & delicious. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of garlic infused olive oil on top of the peppers (choose carefully if you need to restrict FODMAPS). As an alternative version, add tomatoes instead of peppers, which is especially delicious with fresh basil amongst the tomatoes. Serve with a salad including dark green leaves to give more Magnesium to help you relax. With it's bright colours this quiche is especially suitable for serving to guests, including children & is great in lunch boxes, instead of sandwiches, if you are cutting down on bread.
