Ok, but as someone who has an auditory processing disorder, it really CAN work like that. Being able to see someone's lips and expressions makes it 100x easier for me to process speech!!!

Half expected something brutal like a frag to take all of them out in 1 hug.
I expected pa to turn around in an emotional moment and turn back to them all dead having been sniped mid speech by the impatient one.
If we're being honest... There was a lot of dread here, I'm an over sized baby and cruel comedy is a fine wire for me.

Tomb Raider did this for me. I'm sneaking through the map and come across an NPC telling another one about a rat he'd found and was nursing back to health (I think, it's been a while). Suddenly it's like... if I kill this guy, what happens to his rat?

@@argentumsound It was the one where the redid her origin story, the Square Enix reboot from 2013. I remember the rat scene being from right at the start of a portion where I was going up some kind of cliffside shantytown full of bad guys. But like I said, it's been a while.

VLDL is just criminally underrated. They deserves more recognition for their good acting, original ideas, extreme measures of going out to places to shoot scenes and their scene-accurate costumes and their relatability. I have nothing but love for them and hope only the best for them as well as their fanbase

Sometimes I actually feel bad for killing npcs in situations like this. It’s rare, but it’s an odd feeling. Another great video
There are a few quests I avoid in Fallout for this reason. Ever wonder, if there is a god, if it thinks we are "really" alive?
I always make it a habbit to avoid killing any npcs that I hear talking to each other as long as they seem like decent people. HOWEVER if they sound like scum they get a bullet (or whatever my weapon happens to be) to the brain. Like the "raiders" on the boat in the south east of the commonwealth in fallout 4. Once I relised what they were actually saying I avoid the location completly now.

That scenery is breathtaking. I want to cuddle that hillside, it looks so fluffy and not mainly rocks and dirt at all. My family talked me out of moving to NZ years ago when I had a chance. Now I can watch VLDL to live the life I would have had, working in a tech shop and crouching behind weirdly realistic videogame logs. I like to think I would even have become a demented store manager in time...
This was really well written, way to use the old man character to such great emotional potential! Also, I feel like the editing was done in such a way as to make us think that they were gonna get shot on each cutback 😅😂
The production level, the topics, the characters, the acting,... it is really top-notch!

Baelin's Route kind of qualifies, it's 36 minutes long, which is about half a standard Hollywood runtime. But I agree, they could totally do a movie.

Man, I've been watching you guys for far too long. You guys still post the same quality of script writing as you did 6 years ago! Now, I've learned the entire cast and feel waaaaaaaaay too much nostalgia at your older series. All the cast now have their defined characteristics that echo through all the series, which makes this feel more like the cast screwing around and improving a story pretty naturally.
The Leader of the Gang is gold. Hope to see him in more things!

The quality of camera work is near Hollywood level. It focused on all thev right people so that the viewer isn't lost, feels included, and the entire filming didn't feel like a B-movie. Keep it up.

Further, it seems to be fitting into a series of videos featuring this family and emotiobal context. I thought this was a great video and hope they continue making such videos.
That's my main use of dynamite in the game lol. Just for these situations.

Okay, when the boss give speech to his boys, I literally hold my breath and pray "Please spare their life, at least today."
I remember I had a moment in assassins creed Valhalla. I saw a lone Saxon soldier with his back to me on a hill, and he was one of those huge elite guys. I rushed him then stopped suddenly to see him kneeling on the ground playing games with a bunch of children. I walked around in front of him and it didn't aggro him into fighting me, so i just walked away actually feeling guilty that I was about to kill him.

The NPCs are only the intermediary between the humans who write the scripts and the players. If that feels 'human' it means that the script is well done 📜
Yeah, but games are also entertainment, making the player feel good. You can't humanize the enemies too much and then order the player to slaughter them, you must always give the player the option of getting a good outcome.

Lol, i'll go as far as saying I am a much kinder and more honorable person in these kind of games, than I am in real life. Would I go out of my way, wasting hours, or possibly getting myself into trouble along the way to help a random stranger irl? Or make a more honourable choice that would affect me negatively, whether it's financially, physically, or otherwise harmful, as long as somebody else benefitted from it? Hell no, my survival instinct is very much intact! But in a game I would do it in a heart beat.
EDIT: This is mostly regarding random strangers. Friends and family is a totally different thing.
