I am a Ledecky fan who is VERY tired of the attacks on her attractiveness and gender identity, most of which are based on how she looks just after exiting the pool. I simply pointed out that the perception of her appearance changes when she isn't ready to swim.

probably although i havent tried that yet. for me after 2 hour practice and i come back home i just chug 2 glasses of milk its like super nessacary you just do it without questioning
Chocolate milk is actually great for you after a hard workout. Now don't go crazy with it but it is good for recovery, among other things

As a former competitive swimmer myself, all I want to say to Ledeckey is YAAASSS QUEEEN. You are such an inspiration, and I reallly want to get back to competitive swimming swimming after getting into college. I love you so much. She is so beautiful, and a sweet and humble person.

I’d say Emma Mckeon is the GOAT of woman’s swimming considering she received 7 medals, including 4 gold medals, at the Tokyo Olympic Games alone. Or at the very least, shes a close competitor for the title 🤙🏼

Perhaps for long distance, but for short distance McKeon for sure takes the current title of GOAT. Can’t really say someone is GOAT of swimming unless they dominate both long distance and short distance. Currently two GOATs in swimming, one for long distance and the other for short distance.

I don’t really know why but this made me cry. She’s just such a humble and beautiful human. I swam competitively for 15 years of my life. Ultimately I chose to run track in college rather than swim. I miss it so much and I love following the sport and seeing all Katie does.

I actually went to the live taping of the show and they talked for a bit, and even chatted with Katie’s uncle in the audience.
These interviews are all rehearsed. Blame it on the writers who came up with the questions.

Been trying to convince my mom about the eating before swimming myth for years..also another problem that in Spanish the same word can be used for swimming and bathing so you can't eat before a bath either.
I saw that race on TV, she was like a machine!! Very consistent with smooth pacing. What an athlete!
