First of all I want to thank you for sharing these private family moments with us. She was & still is a wonderful inspiration to me through her witness. I wish I could've known her. Also I would love to have her book but due to people price gouging it on amazon & eBay there's absolutely no way I can possibly ever afford one. Such a shame too because she would not have approved of such things. Is there any chance of it coming out in paperback anytime soon? I sure hope so! Had I known about her go fund me account I would've tried to help her in some small way. I think it's terrible that with all the people she had to have known who were super wealthy that no one actually stepped up to help pay off her medical bills. So sad.
I have always felt that I knew Denise. Followed her from the beginning as Vanity. I saw her for herself as a person before the Star she would become. Some people in her musical life did not treat her fairly, or give her the respect she did deserve. She gave me the impression that she never wanted to hurt or offend anyone, it just was not like her. I met her once and she seemed shy. We were both buying ice cream at one of the outdoor truck vendors. This is when she made me feel that I had known her a long time ago. I was born in Oshawa, Ontario. Lived there until six years ago. She reminds me of me in some ways. Her true self, not the glamor life self. When I heard Denise had left us, I sat by myself and shed a few tears. Then in quiet I wished and prayed for her family. Even though you know death is waiting, it never makes it easier when it happens. I wish for you kindness and love your dear Denise would have had for you.
She was so child like and innocent. Her love for animals shows the purity of her heart. She had a lot of love to give for all and that is how Jesus wants us all to be. Child like and loving of all.
I am just now watching her ministry videos. Her teaching and preaching has changed my life. I am born again and have been delivered of alcohol and fornication. Even though I got saved over 7 years ago her teachings have helped me grow closer to the Lord. She loved the Lord so much and I am so glad you are continuing to share her videos and show us how truly special she is. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love the simplicity she finds so much joy and everything I love to hear her laugh it's so genuine before she was always insecure when she was on a talk show when she went by the other name she was always looking for reassurance and she found it what better reassurance can you have than the Saviour!!!
I came here today thinking of DeNise. A year or so before she passed we spoke on the phone a few times for hours. We talked about the Bible, men and life. She gave me great advice. She will be greatly missed.

I had the Pleasure of meeting Denise in Hollywood off Cahuenga and Hollywood blvd. She was driving a red corvette. At first I thought she was the lady from Lisa Lisa, but she knew my sister so she parked and came in to say hi to her. As she walked past she paused and I got to look her in her eyes and say Hiiiii ... Which came out as a whisper. I wanted to say I LOVE U. She was SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL. I thank God for letting me meet her. I was in Heaven for those few seconds.

I'm pretty sure I am not the only person that felt (and still feel) some type of spiritual connection with Denise. Even after her passing, I still find out things that makes me feel that spiritual connection is still there. I've always had a deep fondness for cats. And when I first saw this video and read the description and it states Denise had a kinship with cats, I took it as a sign as it being Denise's way of saying hello to me. What I didn't noticed at the time, because I was enjoying my thoughts of her saying hello to me, is that I have the same exact Pergo flooring as the one in the video. Same color as well. The odds of that happening is pretty slim, considering Pergo stopped making that color several years ago. And to further the spiritual connection that I feel with Denise, is that I got to read her Will online the other day and finding out she wanted her ashes to be poured into the Hawaiian Islands' waters. Why this means a lot to me, is because I live in Hawaii. I took that as another sign that she forgives me for canceling our meeting when she visited here many years ago. I've always felt bad in canceling the meeting. But the reason why I did, was because I felt it wouldn't be fair to her, since at the time, I know I would have slipped and called her *Vanity* because that's all I've ever known of her as being. But since then, I've always wondered what it would have been like meeting her for the very first time. But mainly, if she forgave me. I apologize to those that are reading this and feel I'm being a bit nutty. But I needed to share this for 2 reasons. 1) To let those that also feel a spiritual connection with Denise, that you're not alone. 2) To say thank you to Denise's sister and brother-in-law for allowing me to continue to believe in my spiritual connection with Denise, for it truly helps me cope with her physical passing. Sometimes just doesn't happen. I wanted them but it just never happened for me. My 3 cats are my child substitutes and I love them as if they were really my kids. It's nice to see she had some beloved kitties, and hope they've found a new human family to live with.
It's good she didn't have any. Why bring a child into such a chaotic and abusive life? That would be completely unfair to bring a child into those circumstances.
