These awards shows are always behind the times and have to play catch-up. If they were truly based on originality and uniqueness then Prince's song" When Doves Cry " would have won "Song Of The Year "and "Record Of The Year" in 1985.

I read Nikki Sixx biography "The Heroin Diaries". He talks about his relationship with Vanity and he talks about how when he went to pick her up for a date that there were flowers on the table. He read the note. I can't remember word for word what was in the note and I don't feel like looking for the book right now, but what was written made him think that Prince wanted Vanity to leave Nikki for him. Nikki was so mad, lol. But Vanity sister Patricia Matthews was there and told Nikki the truth. Vanity had the flowers sent to herself and wrote the note, LOL!!! She did it to make Nikki jealous, LOL!!! Denise Matthews contributed to the book so she knew this was going to be in it.

@@jennyn5692 Denise had a phone ministry for yrs. She ministered to me for 18 months. We didn't talk about her being Vanity. She just said she was very wild, and I said it happened, and it was over with. Majority of the time she was ministering to me.
