I'm still loving the fact you guys are tuning and showing an interest in Diesels. The torque they kick out is ridiculous. standard 4 series 435d has more torque than an M4.
I've had 4 tunned pd130s a3 mk4 golf both stay at 90s but the passat and octavia both while booting it cooled down to 80 cheak vcds and thermostat all good. I now have a touran 1.9 not tunned temps OK but feels alot hotter than the older ones.
Thats primarily because of the emissions. Engines are heavily downtuned sort of say to keep up with emission. Once you uncork that, well, you start having serious potential.
Been looking forward to this video since the announcement in the Passat video. Both very interesting engines and I'm looking forward to see some more about them in the future. Keep up with this awesome content👍🏼

Many folk have a long face regarding Audi's use of diesel engines in their "S" cars, personaly I was lucy enough to have an RS2 and yes it was smiles all round apart from 18MPG. Years later I've now got an A4 B7 (I think is the generation) with the 3.0tdi which I am led to believe has a "re-map" on it and I'm often laughing my arse off & 30MPG. AND ONE DAY....( overtime permiting) I'll be coming to use your services gentlemen, 'till then all the best and every continued success and another thank you.

Though it has over 190K on the clap'o'meter and is still rolling so I don't want to chance my arm too far. It spews MASSIVE clouds of VAG cancer-death from the exhausts when I boot it which is the reason people believe it's had a re-map though I've not had it on a rolling road to check. Hopefully soon I'll get some overtime/LOTTO win and get it to these good Folk in Barnsley.

Huge potential? No, well yes maybe. If there wouldn't be any of this emissions crap. He even said it in the video, they are pushed hard straight from the factory. Boost, IAT (100°), EGTs and back pressure from hell because of this Euro 6 cat/dpf/scr bullshit. I bet the back pressure could be measured in Bar. And then imagine what is going on before the turbos, just to get them spooling... rediculous. And all the crap getting past your pistons because of that. The oil is pretty much done after a few thousand kms. Don't believe me? Go ahead and do a oil analysis. Really everything turns to shit.
Have you ever tried thermal dispersment coatings on an intercooler on any of your jobs? I have seen them used successfully on some undersized OEM factory a/c condensers in limited available space on some 3/4 & 1 ton diesel trucks that increased the performance of the factory units enough so the problems pretty much went away, except around 116+ F ambient temps?
Man I am dedass bummed the US will never get the B9 S4 TDI… that torque the better mpg… Still love my gas powered B9 S4 but woulda def bought the TDI in a heartbeat if it was available…

I’ve been trying to find the right A7 3.0 TDI to turn into a comfortable highway monster that will make 11 second passes while getting 40+ MPG highway. Ventilated seats, 11 second quarter mile, 400+ horsepower, and one of Audi’s best looking body styles.

In have one question about new Audi 3.0 (45TDI) engines particularly ones that I have and considering to tune in to stage 1 . Here in Sweden tuners can tune this engine up to 350-360 hp 🤯. Well a gtb2260vklr will make 300-330hp on a 16v Z19DTH, so I don't see why a modern VAG 2.0 with a gtd2363 wouldn't make around 390hp reliably like in this video. That's right about what I'd expect from a bigger compressor coupled with a 15 year newer engine design.

And then its a hybrid and it got all of this emissions crap. No thanks.

Goes anyone realise this enormous 4wd automatic diesel beast weighs well over 2 tons..... Gross vehicle weight is 2375 kgs plus add a driver and a full tank. Drained fluids starvation empty weight is 1810kg... Old S4 V8 was 1720 kgs 0 to 60 5.9 sec Old S3 Turbo was 1455 kgs 0 to 60 5.7 sec
Diesel cars are now over engineered to meet the Euro 7 emission standard. I'm surprised Audi taking this route with the S4. It's still a great/capable car, but I'll stick to the petrol versions, each to their own..👍
This engine should be an option on the RS4 given the standard power. 37+ mpg, I'd definitely buy 1. Tragically, this car will never be sold in AmeriKKKa, cuz, AmeriKKKa.....

my old subaru impreza turbos now they ran hot . scary hot thinking engine bay was gonna melt things and burst into flames

Try a UR quattro 20v. They run hot.

Be interesting to find out how the revised setup comes out. The new 341ps has a water intercooler and a better electric charger.

Forget about tuning your B7 the BV50 turbo and injectors are made of chocolate, better to get a B8 and start from there.

We had one come in for a front mount intercooler and custom tune, that did 397.9bhp & 600ft/lbs

Definitely, they are very strong boxes. We tuned a customers 430d that left us with 750lbs/ft (1016nm) thats been running strong for a few years now

Had the same engine on A5. Never had single problem with the engine, had to change drivers side lock module though. Had it 5 years. Go for it 👍🏼
