    So they think that the old house they used to live in, AND SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE, was picked up and moved to another street? Either these people are crazy delusional, or they are coming up with the most valid excuse they can think of to try and take the house

    • @Derekloffin
      @Derekloffin 9 місяців тому +6

      Well, the picked up and moved bit is actually a thing. I live in one such house. It wasn't originally here, and was across town for a good chunk of its history. And you might think that is highly unusual, but in my town it strangely isn't. We're undergoing a lot of new development and one trick developers are using now is to buy up large lots with small houses on them, and pick up and move the house to a smaller lot while building several houses on the bigger lot in its place. Now, I still think they're full of it in this story, but it isn't as implausible as it sounds.

      @@Derekloffin Okay, as someone who lives in a trailer, I can see how a small home could be moved (though a basement might be another story - lol!). However, if it's larger, like 2+ stories - how do you move that?
      Clearly, the couple is delusional, at best. Heck - what lawyer did they see, and what did that lawyer really say?
      Now, if Grandpa's home and the couple's old home was one of those pre-fabs that have the same floor layout and such, along with paint and siding, I could understand, but most people, when they move, aren't going to take the home with them.

      @@lockwoan01 The examples I know of are all 1 above ground story buildings (the foundations are replaced on the new site). Mine for example is a Frankenstein of 2 houses, the foundation, and basement, of one from this lot, and the house from the other lot (it is kind of amusing when you know about it as the front is actually the side now to get it working with the foundation). Theoretically you could do a 2 story, but never seen one personally, although have seen one on television, but I suspect that is a lot tougher to pull off and probably restricted to rural areas as power lines and the like would make it very impractical to move it safely. And, yeah, in all cases it has to be a pretty small house as you have to move it through the streets which puts pretty strong restrictions on size.

    Last story: A toddler with a full diaper is NOT something you ignore. The kid is crying in pain. Poo has bacteria, acids, and all other sorts of toxic things that really irritate skin, especially the rectum. It's called "diaper rash" for a reason. That woman who claimed to be the child's mother should be arrested for criminal neglect and the child handed over to relatives, or if no relatives are available, foster care, because if "Mom" is willing to torture a child for 8+ hours because she can't be bothered, who knows what she'll do whent the child gets older and tries to have its own agency.

    How could one home just look like another not even on the same street and have people demand the house was there's?

  • @Questor-ky2fv
    @Questor-ky2fv 9 місяців тому +22

    First story: Personally, I think that the couple was trying to bully and scam a free house out of a grieving young man who they thought would be too naive and distracted to stop them. As for look alike home styles, ever hear of floor plans!? A builder can make dozens of the same model home. Different people can buy a floor plan that they like and can each build the same model of home on the same street, in the same town, across the country, or across the world. Because of this there are many homes that look alike. That doesn't grant anyone ownership of each home of that model just because they own one of them. Yeah, this was definitely an attempt to scam the young man!😠 The restraining order was a good idea. Best to have a legal means in place to keep these crooks away.

      @@ToEuropa yeah but the problem is why are they clearly competent in every other aspect. If she and her husband were the kind of delusional, that could believe that someone would conspiratorially take their old house and move it across the street to the new place of residence.
