Daniel I remember the first video I ever saw of you was a VERY YOUNG Daniel playing different solo from his Dust Bowl album. Do you remember this video? I remember I subscribed and I've been following your career ever since! What a cool moment! Joe is a class act.
i find @JoeBonamassaTV always amazing because he is in interviews emotional available. he will talk about himself. that is awesome. that makes us all connect with him.
@@danieldonato l feel like l have learned alot about playing guitar and how YOU learn from others in what they say or play. This is kinda difficult to put into words. I think it’s a matter of you and how you process information. The way you play or repeat what someone else says or plays that your engaged with. Stay humble and grounded.
Two of my favorite players. Have met Joe twice hope to meet Daniel someday. Been following Joe 20 yrs, discovered Daniel 6 months ago. I think Daniel is one of the best younger players I've seen in a long time
Met Danny in Bowling Green, KY 2 weeks ago and can confirm he is super chill and fun to talk to! Complete class act. Met Joe years ago and have to say the same thing, both are exactly what you hope they'd be!
Awesome topics Daniel. Always heard Joe was very smart on the business end. FYI, I'm the a@@hole that has posted a picture of you on your FB page from Legends Corner when you were about 14. Watched you a lot at Roberts over the years! We brought a young kid to watch you once that wanted to play in Nashville. You hung out with him a bit and he loved it and I appreciated you for it. He got a gig early last year at the Redneck Riveria the week Covid shut everything down.
What an outstanding conversation between two really interesting thinkers. Thank you both. Daniel, you and Joe share a fire 🔥 in the belly, a shared restlessness to improve and grow. I share it. You inspire me. Just a note - In Jewish thought the need to seek God is called “the burden of Heaven.” Call it a blessed restlessness. 🦋💜
Keep on rocking gentlemen. You're both kick ass musicians and passionate about your craft. I've seen Daniel live a couple dozen times. I have yet to see Joe.
Cosmic interview! I can only imagine what it could be to meet your idol and talk to him in person. Hope one day for some meet'n'greet with JB in the 416. 😎👍
Again--awesome stuff, but really wish you'd left the camera on at 39:00ish while Joe poured himself a bowl of Cheez-Its and you chatted across the kitchen!
Joe, I agree with everything you said except you said "I only need to play 40 min. set." then you say you respect your fans. Remember , I love you man, and I say this with love but the fans don't need to "Get" you, they already get you are they wouldn't be there. They just deserve to get more that 40 min. of you. IMHO. They came to see you play LIVE and get that experience of your great show, What if you waited a whole year to see one of your favorite artists, You bought $100.00 tickets (just guessing) you drove to the gig , you waited to get parking at the gig, you finally get to the seat and wait for the the artist you've wanted to see for a year and that artist plays 40 min. (10 songs at the most) and maybe not even play the song you wanted to hear. and then said Thank you but I'm gone. I'm not saying play for 3 hours but 40 min.? I'm 69 years old and I love performing and giving the fans/friends that come and see me the show I feel that will see them satisfied, I'm not famous and never will be.but I still love making people happy and giving them the best show I can and they deserve. I just couldn't do it in 40 min. and it would be fun for me only playing 40 min. I love to play and the energy I get from people. It is like no other thing I could pay forthat short time of excitement. Like i said Joe, love you and your music. Daniel, how long were your sets with Don Kelly even while the tip jar was being past around and that is he been the longest running acts on Broadway.? Daniel , remember how you felt when you took over for J.D.? Joe, like I said, love your music, you leave no stone unturned, love you you tube video, even the ones with Norm. I wish you the success you have earned on a long hard road.. Daniel, hope to see you Nashville at Summer NAMM if they have it. Love to see relive some old memories. Maybe you and J.D. play with Don one night that would be a "guitar" show that would blow everyone away and would talking about for years IMHO.
Friend,..I’m not sure if you caught all of what joe said about the reason for 40 min set..he said he was an opening act for frampton, ,thorgood, or bb king,..they gave him 45 min to play, he said he asked if he could cut 5 min, play 40 min then rush out to lobby to have more time to sell cd’s, which he needed the money to continue his career and used that money to finance the next 2 self paid cd’s he recorded...he did not mean that he only plays 40 min as the main act when people are paying and coming to see him, this was 20 yrs ago when struggling to start, being paid 250 as an opening act
Hei.. Hei... Haole’....checked Pod Cast out... you have a gift for “conversation”...stayed a lil’ while..Mighty.. Mighty...on the care of your Guest!! It showed UP!!! 🤙...🎸☄️🌴💫... got 🌊’s waitin’... Keep face to the☀️...Your makin’ in your Hapuna...Pono.. Pono..😎🌴🎸
Awesome show. I'm glad Joe is wise enough to stay away from talking politics. No one needs to hear that shit. Half the country is liberal the other half is conservative, so if you talk politics you are going to piss off half your fans. We listen to music to escape the BS and politics.

THANK YOU!
Daniel, it is very refreshing to hear a young man speak of the ancient truths, as well as shred. Keep it up young man, the world needs us now.
THANKS!
Outstanding interview! ❤🕶️
Thanks for the pod! Great material! A Young Man's Country opened my eyes to modern country. Keep it up! Cheers from Sweden
Thanks for doing this interview Daniel and Joe! This was a pleasure to listen to. Godspeed to both of you!
Daniel - this conversation made my day! Bright , articulate , and honest .... plus I get to see my musicians in the wild!
Daniel--you have a PhD in guitar and in philosophy. Kudos--keep this ALL going!
Fear of failure/stagefright or the idea of anything can happen, is fun and addictive. Especially when you pull it off.
Keep on rocking gentlemen. You're both kick ass musicians and passionate about your craft. I've seen Daniel live a couple dozen times. I have yet to see Joe.

I would love to see you have Derek Trucks on your show. That would be really cool!
Love joe thanks Daniel for doing this
Hey Daniel, just remember what other people EAT DON'T MAKE YOU S#!T do your thing 🎸🎼🎸💯💯💯
I sincerely hope that Joe poured his Diet Coke into that wine glass
Its better to put wine in a diet cole can so you can use wild hand gestures without spilling a drop.
COMPARISON IS THE THEIF OF JOY.
Teddy Roosevelt
love the interview, but the image looks like joe is tinny as hell...funny

Once upon a time it was called “selling out”. Now music is merely a delivery system for flogging tshtshkes.
