    Written Review: www.dansgadgets.com/huawai-ba...
I've been using the Huawei Band 4 Pro for the past few weeks to see if the hype is real around this popular smart band.
Featuring internal GPS, heart rate monitor, accelerometer, infrared sensor and AMOLED display. It's an impressive array of features for such a small device.
I've used many fitness bands over the past few years and the Band 4 Pro is the first I've used from Huawei. Is it worth its slightly higher price, is the tracking accurate and does the GPS work? Check this review to find out.

    Hey Dan,
I've watched a few of your reviews today on the Xiaomi Mi band 5 vs the honor band 4 aswell as this Huawei band 3 pro and you've contributed to my spreadsheet of all the features I've been noting down to compare these devices as well as others on the market. And I've decided to get the Xiaomi Mi band 5 and the Huawei band 3 pro so I can keep one on charge while I use the other and swap them over when the one I've used for a while has been drained of power. Should be a good way of seeing the contrast of the 2.
    Cheers 👍🏻

I've have had the Band 4 Pro for 12 hours now. Initial comments. Looks and feels great with good battery life. There is heaps of functionality. Step counter seems to be way to high when in an office. The GPS tracking is very accurate and heart rate seems good as well. It would be good if you could extend the screen time on or even keep it on. Brightness at night seems a bit high. Good customisation available and the screen faces are good. I found the screen ok in sunlight but it would be good if it was a bit bigger. OVERALL it is an awesome product for the price.

    • @Deceneu66
      @Deceneu66 3 роки тому +3

      Over a week for me.
Step counter is a problem for me. Went to the gym on Saturday. Tracked superbly on treadmill, and other exercises. Sunday never left home. Tracked over 8000 steps !! I stayed mostly in bed. In the Health app it says that it takes the steps from two sources and does a arithmetic average from phone and band pro. False. Also I can't choose only one source. GSP, location off, Samsung Health app closed, still counts in the Huawei Health app and adds them up.
Other than that the Band is fantastic. BMP, SpO2, True Sleep, Notifications, etc.
You can extend the screen time in settings - screen - the screen will turn off after 5 minutes
If you are bothered by the brightness at night go to settings - screen brightness - lower brightness at night
      I hope that helps !

Great extensive review. BTW, @ 10:09 - it is water resistant to 5ATM, not 5 meters. 5ATM is the pressure equivalent of 50 meters epth. Even so, that doesn't mean it can tolerate that pressure equivalent endlessly, and only up to ten minutes, according to most sources. Fortunately, only Aquaman swims at that depth for any length of time. He probably hates fitness trackers, anyway....

I've had this product since the beginning of May. I love this thing. I bought it to replace my gen 4 fossil android wear watch. I use it every night for sleep tracking and I run a lot as a way to exercise. It shows very detailed reports about sleep and exercise sessions. Only negatives are that for some reason I can't add any new faces, music controls only work about 70% of the time (not sure why), and while it can detect when the user starts running automtaically, it doesn't provide full details like it would had you started the activity session from the watch or phone. The stand-alone GPS is nice but who wants to go running without music anyways so I always end up brining my phone. LAST point, 2 weeks ago I got my boyfriend a Fitbit charge 4, which cost 3-4 times more than the band 4 pro and I've been able to compare the devices and software. The Band 4 pro has as a slimmer profile and similar battery life. However the Charge 4 supports more exercises for tracking.

Just received mine today :D The one big letdown is that you can't change the watch face on ios D: I hope they can update this for iPhone because I like customizing it depending on my mood/time of year. Also, I find that there is a bit of a delay when it's registering your steps and I don't know how to sync it with the app...And I agree with the strap. I have a tiny wrist, and I find the strap loosening up (where the loop is) - it's not a fixed strap like the Miband 4...BUT I do like the larger screen. I will have to play around with it a bit more...

i've tried it, but the display is much too small for me! And I found no watchface with big digits for weekday and date...
Something like the bigger Amazfit Band/Cor 2 with GPS would be perfect for me...

Only the downside of this band and the Huawei Health app is they do not record elevation gain/loss.

This device is a piece of junk, Bought one yesterday. played 45 mins of squash and at the end it said my heart rate was 106!!!! I must be the fittest person in the world to run around like crazy for 45 mins and have a heat rate of 106... Don't waste your money (and yes it was properly attached to my wrist just like they say it should be etc) all this thing is good for is tracking steps :(
