This was a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to win the World Series. I absolutely LOVED every second of this. I have heard "the ocean" before many times but this was my first encounter with "No Quarter" by them and I was just mesmerized. They were working magic with that track. What should we hit next by zeppelin? Whatever gets the most comments/likes, I will do next week!
I highly recommend you watch the lives of these songs, absolutely amazing. Thank you for your reaction. Another Led Zeppelin masterpiece, which they have several.
I've seen Black Sabbath & Deep Purple, unfortunately never got to see Led Zep. Seen Ac/Dc with bon scott, aerosmith, bon jovi, queen twice & Pink Floyd twice, just to name a few
Favorite song on this album, No Quarter...which is difficult to say because the whole thing is sublime. If you hear keys, it's always JPJ, if you hear both live, it's JPJ on keys and foot bass pedals. Perfect reaction brother, lol.
When I was 16, 17... the local theatre featured midnight movies, and one that was long playing every weekend was 'The Song Remains The Same'. We would go every other weekend. Imagine how kool it was to see this movie on the big screen with the sound system pumped up! I cant count how many times I saw this movie LOL
Thanks FD and Coleen for find and requesting 🤘Led Zeppelin🤘 that L33 hadn’t heard! AWESOME tracks! 🔥🔥🔥🔥Can’t get enough of this band! Never got to see them live as Bonham died right before I was old enough to go to concerts myself. Only have the live albums and movie/dvd to see what it was like. But they had a huge impact on my teenage years, my life wouldn’t have been the same without them. Thanks L33 for doing what you do to bring us together to enjoy it! ☮️🖤🎶
I bought that album shortly after it came out. I was ~13. Still have it. Only heard the audio for decades until the advent of UA-cam. These guys were the GOAT. JPJ was amazing, playing mellotron freeformn while running bass line on pedals with his feet.
No one plays keyboards except JPJ. JPJ also does arrangements and plays bass. He can play bass at the same time as keyboards. Don't underestimate him just because he keeps a lower profile.
The band were absolutely on fire at this show. All 4 members give extraordinary performances. Really looking forward to seeing Lee’s take on both songs A real pity the owners saw fit to take down the No Quarter video recently. It would have added to Lee’s enjoyment I’m sure. Still a banger though 😊
I LOVED this one Lee. Best reaction ever. I saw Zeppelin in Seattle, in '73, '74, '75, '76, and '77. And caught Page/Plant tour in '95. All incredible experiences, standing at the feet of Jimmy Page is a religious experience ❤
JPJ on bass and keys simultaneously. This band was pure excellence through and through. This whole show is legendary, young Lee. You would enjoy the rest just as much.
Fantastic tracks to combine, Lee. Thank FD and Coleen for the picks, well done. Led Zeppelin cooking on all burners, always. Love your reaction, Lee, straight from your heart. Blessings all.
Great songs- Led Zeppelin was a phenomenon in the 60s and 70s- the soundtrack of my youth. Never saw them, but I did see Plant Page in the 90s - so loved it ❤- They played Kashmir with the world class Cleveland Orchestra - it was sublime. 🌹
Ahhh, the Mighty Led Zeppelin! ❤❤❤ Nice to hear the live versions. “No Quarter” is a favorite of the many favorites. “Thank You” is another, worth checking out. This band puts me in another place every time I hear them, a place foggy, mystical and Nordic.
Saw them twice, first Time ‘73 when I was 17 at the Forum in LA on Bonham’s Birthday or as Paged called him that Night “ Appy Birthday Bonzo” then a second Time in ‘75👍🏻
I was at the 73 LA Forum Show. I was stationed at LB Naval Hosp at the time. i remember the concert was a great atmosphere, but I was a little "fuzzy" while at the concert.
Great reaction to what is one of Zep's best live performances (you should also do Dazed and Confused from this record!) And yeah what Bonham and Page do on this is sublime. Oh btw, it's not a mellotron that JPJ is playing - it's a Fender Rhodes.
The whole concert is magic, and the sound for Bonzos drums are unmatched ! LZ = 4 guys playing their instruments at their very best. Just drop the neddle on the LP and meld into the tunes . Only one group will give you that, and you're listening to them. ✌️😎
They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through They hold no quarter they will take no prisoners they ask no quarter they will fight to the death the news they have to deliver in the song has to get through no matter what the cost
When people talk about great Zeppelin albums, they rarely mention this one. This is not only a great rock album, but one of the greatest live albums ever produced. No Quarter has a great sound with one of the best guitar solos ever laid down. Every song on the album is top notch production and playing. If you haven't already, you must play the epic. Dazed and Confused, nearly thirty minutes of time and genre shifts that fully display the genius that is Jimmy Page. Side one is amazing, as it opens with the raucous Rock 'n' Roll then into the power of Celebration Day, The Song Remains the Same, concluding with The Rain Song. Simply amazing.
This is the review of reviews. In your shoes 1978-9 when I first heard this. I would sneak out at 11:30 to watch the Midnight Matinee Led Zeppelin "The Song Remains the Same".
Led Zeppelin has-been my top band x 50 yrs plus. And that's something with all the great talent during this time. But they stood out to me. Robert is the singer. I have not heard any concerts. I just had my record albums. This is how we listened to music in tbe day. Just sit audio Lee. The best way. No cheesy videos like today music. You can concentrate on the music only. Robert doesn't have much singing in this first one. Jimmy will be tired after this first song. 😂. I don't have my records anymore😢.you get why I like them so much don't you Lee?😂
No quarter got me through withdrawals from opioids. Especially this live version. Don’t matter if it’s the video. I close my eyes anyway. One of my favorite guitar solos.
I saw Led Zeppelin at least 20 times back in the 70's. Mostly at the Forum and at the old Long Beach Arena, or anywhere else for that matters, if they played in L.A, l was there! Yes, I'm a Big "Led Head", for life❤️🎶🤘🥰
I saw Led Zeppelin in concert in late 1969 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas and then again in 1970 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City Missouri. I was in college in a rock band and we did a bunch of their songs. Great times.
Quite a lot of people in their 60's took a lot of trips listening to Zep, Floyd. Yes, Gentle Giant, King Crimson etc. It was great fun. I saw them at Knebworth just before Bonzo died. I went to high school in South Wales and I had a cinnamon bagel with maple syrup for breakfast. Keep up the good work man. Kudos to your mum.
Never got to see Zeppelin but I did see the A.R.M.S. concert in L.A. and Jimmy did several songs with Paul Rodgers. Several songs by Jeff Beck and I don't remember Eric Clapton's set but he was there. Simon Phillips I think played drums for all three. Glad I went.
The opening riff on "The Ocean" makes it one of my top ten songs of LZ. A less known song of them I love so much is their "Travelin' Riverside Blues" cover, please consider reacting to it.
@ As far as Studio versions you might not know and you’ll definitely Love how about “ Achille’s Last Stand” and “ For your Life” from their Presence album?👍🏻
There´s an album called "No Quarter" made in 1994 with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and lots of other musicians, among them an Egyptian ensamble. It´s really good. I was lucky enough to attend a concert on the No Quarter tour in Stockholm about two years later and it was just amazing - mindblowing. Check the record out my friend.
A shout out for Out On The Tiles from me as well! The sheer ATTITUDE of its kickoff slays all comers. And as to that opener, when playing Black Dog in concert, they’d sometimes play the OOTT opener, and then suddenly go into BD. I never saw them live, but if l had, and was unprepared for this approach, l’d have been SERIOUSLY bummed.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ……my favorite Zep tune as well as TOOL’s version of “No Quarter” 🌀👁🌀 P.S. The opening line that you heard at the start of The Ocean was none other than “ John Henry Bonham” “We’ve done four already but now we’re steady And then they went : One, Two, Three, Four” …..I believe that those are the only lyrics John has in their catalog ❤️
A few months back my friend and drum mentor asked if a can play “the Ocean “ I said something like- sure I guess, that flipped answer started a master class of proper sticking, charts & footwork. I learned a valuable lesson that day, don’t be a flipping smart ass to a professional recording artist. 😂.
No. John Paul Jones is playing all of the keys. The bass is on the keys for this. I guess you just put the wrong initials. But the bass is not played with the feet.
This was a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to win the World Series. I absolutely LOVED every second of this. Led Zeppelin - Out On The Tiles
Achilles Last Stand and When the levee Breaks are two more you should try if you have not already.
When The Levee breaks is one of my favorites by Zep. A must.
I highly recommend you watch the lives of these songs, absolutely amazing. Thank you for your reaction. Another Led Zeppelin masterpiece, which they have several.
Achilles last stand.
You should also check out The wanton song by Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes.
Steve Gorman killing it on drums.
I have 80 Led Zeppelin songs in my top 5 Led Zeppelin songs.
Try The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song live at msg in 1973!!! Killer!! Nothing beats Zeppelin...especially live!
No quarter , truly a masterpiece and probably my favourite live track
John Paul Jones was the secret weapon of Led Zeppelin.
Not a great LZ fan but, totally agree with you!
That's why they're Led Zeppelin.
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
I've seen Black Sabbath & Deep Purple, unfortunately never got to see Led Zep. Seen Ac/Dc with bon scott, aerosmith, bon jovi, queen twice & Pink Floyd twice, just to name a few
@jilldiable8119 I have saw Black Sabbath 2 times,Deep Purple 3-4 times,Robert Plant,Pink Floyd,Motorhead 3-4 times,Jethro Tull 2 times,Santana,Rolling Stones,Iron Maiden,Metallica,Candlemass 3-4 times,Joan Jett,Jerry Lee Lewis,Ten Years After,John Mayall,Paul Di'Anno,Stranglers,Black Label Society,John Lydon,B.B.King,Judas Priest 2-3 times,Rob Halford,Saxon,Uriah Heep,Blue Oyster Cult,Orange Goblin and many more🤘

Bonham's snare in the studio version of No Quarter is the sweetest sound you've ever heard.
Led Zeppelin is my favorite band ever. 🙂🙂
Favorite song on this album, No Quarter...which is difficult to say because the whole thing is sublime. If you hear keys, it's always JPJ, if you hear both live, it's JPJ on keys and foot bass pedals. Perfect reaction brother, lol.
Thanks man I appreciate it. This was my favorite video today and today was all winners… so that’s saying something 😝
LZ never disappoints ❤

Imagine how kool it was to see this movie on the big screen with the sound system pumped up! I cant count how many times I saw this movie LOL
The greatest band ever Led Zeppelin ❤ Thanks 😊
Great classic Zeppelin
MSG a must watch. You'll see what made Zeppelin the best at playing live. Great reaction.
I was there❤
I was at the Long Island Area and Madison Square Garden concerts. (you can never get enough.)
So was my sister!
You are one lucky Steve! That’s amazing bro I’m jealous haha
Me too. ❤😊
I was gonna ask cause I think I can hear you!
I know I'm not the only one to say this, but at some point, listen to the complete No Quarter guitar solo. Guitar players worship this solo.
Lee that was the shortened guitar solo on No Quarter… you need to hear the rest it will blow you away!
Thanks FD and Coleen for find and requesting 🤘Led Zeppelin🤘 that L33 hadn’t heard! AWESOME tracks! 🔥🔥🔥🔥Can’t get enough of this band! I never got to see them live as Led Zeppelin. I did get to see Robert & Jimmy live in '94 and that was pretty damn good.
Two of their best!
Oh absolutely…. No quarter is a new favorite already. Blew me away!
I bought that album shortly after it came out. I was ~13. Still have it. Only heard the audio for decades until the advent of UA-cam. These guys were the GOAT. JPJ was amazing, playing mellotron freeformn while running bass line on pedals with his feet.
I was at that show in NY loved it and No Quarters is a hell of a song.
Yet you don’t actually know the name of the song?
JPJ playing keys and bass simultaneously.
Feet bass is crazy
Bass Pedals
No one plays keyboards except JPJ. JPJ also does arrangements and plays bass. He can play bass at the same time as keyboards. Don't underestimate him just because he keeps a lower profile.
Can't wait for this one. ❤❤❤
The band were absolutely on fire at this show. All 4 members give extraordinary performances.

A real pity the owners saw fit to take down the No Quarter video recently. It would have added to Lee’s enjoyment I’m sure. Still a banger though 😊
Wow ... that was amazing. Thank you
John played keyboards and bass

I love that Lee is a Led Head. ❤😊
@@Linda-y9h led head indeed!! 🎸
Me also! Much more Lee!!
You should check out this Led Zeppelin's MSG 1973 concert, complete, is their best live performance, extraordinary, their full talents
Woo Hoo! Ocean is tied for my favorite Zep song. The other is "Fool in the rain". Have you reacted to that?🎶🎶🎵🎶🔥💯✌️☮️🕊️🇺🇸
JPJ on bass and keys simultaneously. This band was pure excellence through and through. This whole show is legendary, young Lee. You would enjoy the rest just as much.
Check out "The Lemon Song" by Led Zeppelin please!
one of their best.
I’ve never even heard of that. Hell yeah. Going on the list 🙏
Wow, good to hear these tracks from this album again. Thanks FD and ColeenU 🔥🔥
6:00 that is jonesy. And yes he's a master
Never got to see LZ live, but saw Page & Plant twice and JPJ solo once. I would suggest Achilles Last Stand for next.
They are the goat I have loved this band since their 1st album 1969 I was 11 yo!
Wasn’t that just effin fantastic?
I think Lee liked it 😅
I think he did too 😂
Absolutely loved it. Amazing request brother
Thank you 🙏
Fantastic tracks to combine, Lee. Thank FD and Coleen for the picks, well done. Led Zeppelin cooking on all burners, always. Love your reaction, Lee, straight from your heart. Blessings all.
Thank you for watching Shirley. I appreciate you! Glad you enjoyed

A nice change of pace…

Two excellent songs from The mighty Zeppelin!!❤
My favorite recording of my favorite Zeppelin song. Page's guitar is perfect for this song.

Pinnacle Led Zep
Yes!!! 💯🙌 Amazing work. And a great review from you too, Lee ❤
ZEPPELIN RULES! I really enjoy watching you react the way we all did back then. Perfect reaction Lee.

Ultimately physical g. Is my go to zeppelin.
Whenever one asks "Who is playing that" during a Zeppelin song, the answer is almost always John Paul Jones!!
The whole concert is magic, and the sound for Bonzos drums are unmatched ! LZ = 4 guys playing their instruments at their very best. Just drop the neddle on the LP and meld into the tunes . Only one group will give you that, and you're listening to them.

Jonesy on keyboards/mellotron. This was his traditional concert showcase taking over from Thank You
The GOATS…PERIOD! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 THATS DRUMMIN!
"No Quarter": John Paul Jones on keyboards with bass pedals
I agree
"Oh my fuck!" ...yep.
Saw this when it came out and since.
A couple of faves.
✌🏼🤩🎶❤️🍁❤️✨️🕊
It's a shame that this did not include the visual! The Ocean performance is a sight to behold (IMHO). Page at his on-stage best.
Apparently the video for no quarter has been taken down :(
L33 , you would have been a leader in the 70 s , no doubt!!
You are too kind ❤️ thank you lol

Please Play the Studio Version of “ Stairway to Heaven” then the Live version of either “ Rock and Roll” or “ Black Dog”!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I know all those sadly (the studios at least) I would probably do gang busters with those but I know them already. Maybe I can do the live ones though
@ As far as Studio versions you might not know and you’ll definitely Love how about “ Achille’s Last Stand” and “ For your Life” from their Presence album?👍🏻
With reference to seeing No quarter and The Ocean live, I recommend purchasing The song remains the same DVD. It's the best! 🎵🎶📽️🎬
You have to react to Moby Dick from the same album. Bonham's drum solo is something you'll appreciate!
So Good!!!🎶🎸🥁❣💋

" damn that bass"!
Lol.
that's the feet ofJohn Paul Jones on bass pedals, while also playing the keys!
No Quarter Live at Celebration Day ...Is the version they do it drop C it's so low and gritty ;)

This song is about when the royals wanted to take a quarter of the people’s pay. Excellent song!
Phish’s cover of No Quarter is so intense live.
Tool also does a cover. Pretty good too.
A few months back my friend and drum mentor asked if a can play “the Ocean “ I said something like- sure I guess, that flipped answer started a master class of proper sticking, charts & footwork.
I learned a valuable lesson that day, don’t be a flipping smart ass to a professional recording artist. 😂.
Now you need to listen to Page& Plants NO QUARTER album/cd with the Egyptian orchestra doing a remake of Kashmir
the dogs of gloom howl and moan
L33 has just recieved No Quarter
I was 14 when this came out 🤘ZoSo
JPG is playing a few keyboards with his hands and is playing bass with his feet at the same time in "No Quarter"!
No. John Paul Jones is playing all of the keys. The bass is on the keys for this. I guess you just put the wrong initials. But the bass is not played with the feet.
@@stewpot6998 OK. I read he used his feet on some tracks?
JPJ plays keyboards/Organ and also Bass with foot pedals at the same time
I saw your brain thinking about the bass and keys. JPJ plays keys with his hands and plays bass with his feet on the organ pedals.
No Quarter is top 10 for anyone who plays in a heavy metal/doomer stoner or rock band.
❤Live please ❤
