The best part of this project is getting texts/videos from my friend of her husband & son out riding together! Memories they’ll always have. You really do meet the nicest people on a Honda!
So glad i found your channel Mike! I'm always on the hunt for a decent CT70 to restore, didn't know so many resources were available to restore these bikes until I discovered your videos. Thanks for all you do, always entertaining!
🛑🛑 I was laughing and saying to my wife, when you were putting on the Frame Badge on…. “make sure you got the wing pointed in the right direction” Then you caught yourself. 😆 The bike came out really well. Nice Work! 💯👍
Could have rented a U-Haul trailer for $250 and been money ahead! nice to see you're a man of your word and can't wait for your vids going to WV. I just got back from there and the mountains are going to be a PITA for you.
@@jimsweeney6074 I’m not a person who worries about being “money ahead”. There is a Uhaul dealer next to my shop. The joy of seeing a young boys face light up, as he gets to ride with his dad…..that’s way better than saving a couple of bucks. I‘be ridden in W.V. before. I’m not riding on the interstate. I’ll be cruising backroads at 35mph. My bike will walk right up any road they have, it’s done it before.
I was restoring my CT 70 KO but I got a deal on an XR650l so the mini trail is on the back burner again, but that little bike turned out nice and he should be glad to have it 👍
With the final touches you did… the decals, grab bar, and painted chain guard… this one could be summed up by saying you made a gem out of a junker !! And we followers got to watch you do it in “only” an hour and forty-five minutes !!
Sometimes the nozzle is less likely to clog if you shake it for a full 2 minutes. That gets the metal flakes off the bottom and distributed through the paint.
Nice done, nice one happy neighbour :) .I so need a 3 speed type clutch engine cover, a short type crankshaft and a engine head for my 1974 ST50 DAX..or a complete engine in need of rebuild..So hard to find here in Norway
Taking some of the weight off the frame by lifting the motor would relieve the stress on that engine mounting bolt and make it easier to get out. Just a thought if someone runs into the same issue.
@@bartgoins1782 I didn’t need a full harness for lights. Amazon has these run only harnesses for $17 and they come with CDI, coil, key switch, kill button and a spark plug. Ain’t nobody else selling all those pieces for that cheap.
@@ropeyzkittlez9703 There is a Uhaul dealer next to my shop. Actually, the building I own was the old Uhaul rental place. No need to rent one, when someone has one to borrow.

I got a ct200u ex for $50 and practically rebuilt it from the frame up. New shocks, headlight, rims, tires, motor whole 9. Thing runs beautiful.
