    Mike-As a young boy growing up in Iowa I had a CT70 and wish every day that I still had it. I'm on the lookout for one I can fully restore. Emarald green was the color, believe it was a 1970. I actually was riding it one day and forgot to put the gas cap on. Flames started rolling out from under the seat. It leaked on the battery and ignited. Very sad!

    Another great video, Mike. Thanks. I have a quick question about your builds. In all of your videos I have watched, I don't think I have ever seen you have to replace wheel bearings, and I expected you to have to do it on this one. Are those stock sealed bearings so go that they rarely need replacing? Thanks for all the videos.

    • @MiniBikeMike

      I only issue I can think of is the starter being in the way of installing the engine guard…..if it’s a bottom mount starter. Other than that, it should be a bolt in engine.

    Thanks Mike for the GREAT video. Always learning something from you. Did you use the intake that came with the Lifan motor for that NIBBI Carb ? What's your thought on that carb so far ? What jet set up did you install on the carb ? I bought that same 125cc engine for my Ct-70 build.
    Thanks Mike

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! Yes, I used the Lifan intake. I like the carb. It bogs just slightly, if you crack the throttle too quickly. Rejetting would probably solve that, but I don’t have other jets. As long as I don’t crank it too fast, it works wonderful and I’ll keep it on there.

    What sort of cruising speed do you get with the Lifan 125 set ups you use?

    • @MiniBikeMike
      @MiniBikeMike  Рік тому

      Because I choose to have my bikes look as stock as possible and use the stock exhaust, mine typically hit somewhere 52-55mph. I’m seldom on roads with limits above 45mph.
      But, with a free flowing exhaust, 17/32 gearing, fresh wheel bearings, brakes that aren’t dragging, etc…..you can get one set up to hit between 60-65mph.

      I’ve been trying to decide if the 125 would be adequate or if I should pay the extra for a 140, if it’ll sit at 50 on the flat for 4-5 miles that’ll be fine.
