Hey, I really like this video. I hope you don't feel like I'm stepping on your toes here or anything, but I'd love to throw a little advice your way that I wish I knew when I was starting out with this whole youtube thing. I love the way you frame and write your scripts. They've got jokes, they're concise and they're easy to understand. All you gotta work on and play around with is something called "Emphasis", the idea that some words in a sentence are more important than others. Emphasis is helped by long pauses to help drive a point home, or by slowing down certain sentences. It's always helpful to let an audience think on stuff, even whilst your video is still playing. The only other pointer that I wish I knew earlier (and that you might be able to learn from with THIS video) is how important thumbnails and titles are. the 3 BIG TIPS I got when it comes to thumbnails and titles is to FIRST: 1. be VERY specific. - you want a thumbnail and title to be the LEAST (
Thank you man for taking the time to help get better at UA-cam! I’m a massive fan of your channel and your videos were the main thing that inspired me to want to start doing UA-cam so once again thank you. I’ve got a new video in the works at the moment so I’ll definitely use your tips to make it much better! Also thank you for taking the time to watch my video and give advice to me even though you didn’t have to at all but still did.👍 ALL THE BEST
The game is interesting, and has a wonderful premise, it has a few fundamental flaws: - A lot of the room layouts in the earlier stages aren't well designed - There's no reason not to destroy a skull for bones because you can destroy you old skull too, so it's not really a choice, it's just whether or not you remember to press the button - The inventory is really small, so after the first or second zone there's really nothing to upgrade - Shops late game become completely useless, and by extension so does money - Certain enemies in the game have unreasonable attacks that aren't even close to being reactable *cough cough, the stealth dudes, cough cough*. I get that section is supposed to be stealth, but the enemies aren't even too powerful, it's just that their attacks don't give you enough reaction time, so they just feel annoying Those are the ones off the top of my head, but I know there were more when I played it. With that being said, I still think it's underrated in comparison to other games. The Binding of Isaac for example has way more flaws I could mention, but that game has managed to ascend to a godlike reputation simply for having a crazy high amount of individual items and pieces of content
Yeah rooms thing is true I think if they played around with those shrines and more level gimmicks like how level 3 has test subject tubes and level 4 has those debufs(that if you forget to clear the last the entire damn run, so annoying just found that out) but no ninjas are very easy to react to just play a bit more, there is definitely a reason to upgrade your inventory after stage 2 you get such much better items, often my build isn’t done until stage 4.2 or even the last shop. Only the last shop in act 5 is too expensive, just get gold % gain or just treasure 2, there are so many good treasure items.
It’s always great to see videos on skul that’s not from my usual creators, great vid in general tho this is one the rogues that I keep coming back to, also in the adventures fight you can cancel their ultimates by attacking them enough
I didn’t expect it to be good when I got it from monthly games in ps5, but it ended up being one of my favorite rogue-like, got the platinum very quickly
I tried the game and I like Dead Cell better. I bought Skul the day before yesterday and Dead Cell last week. I'll play Skul again for sure. Super Video continues like that! Sry for my english I use Google Translate
Skul is definitely my most-played roguelite. My favorite part is getting to experience all the intricate build customization of a game like Diablo in a bite-size, infinitely replayable loop that delivers quality every time! Not to mention how much attention it's been given by its developers since Early Access onward.
Hey I'm glad I took the time to watch your video. I saw you only had 153 subs and thought maybe I'd be annoyed at a sub-par quality video about one of my favorite rouge-likes. You knocked it out of the park. My only advice is to drop the opinion disclaimer at the beginning. People can disagree with things if they want, but unless you're saying something super controversial I really don't think you should waste time with it. Videos should begin with a "hook" to draw the viewer in. But I love your style, just subbed, and hope to see more as you grow and improve. Cheers!
Yeah I was worried how the video would go down but you loved it so that’s amazing! Thank you for all the support, it means a lot to me that you took the time to watch my video and that you enjoyed it so once again thank you!
This is one I heard about before but never got around to. Into the backlog it goes! *sobs* Good, quick overview. Well done. Excited to see more from you.
Yea, i actually know another Roguelike i recommend you to try, did you ever hear about Chrono Ark? Its a Deckbuilding, Horror-Roguelike RPG, that recently has left Early Access.
game is hard ive got like 40 hours into the game but havent beaten it yet. very fun tho you do get runs where you get everything you need to win and other runs where you get the worst items etc. would be great if there was a way to replay and practice the bosses in a hub area since whenever i reach the final boss i keep losing to his phase 2 and 3
Ignored it once in playlist, then changed thumbnail? I haven't even watched the video (nor will) but there is nothing spectacular about this roguelike. Go play Blasphemous 1, Super Metroid, Death's Gambit, this game doesn't compare.
@Ellipsis0 I didn't mean that you needed to try out that game, I just meant that it's kinda weird to call skul underrated, considering how successful it is, especially because most others don't have the same level of success. Like moonlighter, it's pretty successful but only has 13,000 steam reviews. Voidigo is massively underrated, and I do recommend that one

Yeah your right and the ninjas are especially a pain

I COMEPLETLY AGREE SKUL IS THE BEST GAME EVER
It’s 100% one of my favourite rougelites of all time
Not the best ever but its definetly a masterpiece along side isaac and dead cells
I tried the game and I like Dead Cell better. I bought Skul the day before yesterday and Dead Cell last week.
I'll play Skul again for sure.
Super Video continues like that!
Sry for my english I use Google Translate
Same Dead Cells is just so addictive and more polished and fluid

The build system is definitely incredible and the overall quality is astounding!👍

Yea, i actually know another Roguelike i recommend you to try, did you ever hear about Chrono Ark? Its a Deckbuilding, Horror-Roguelike RPG, that recently has left Early Access.
If it’s deck building then I’ll definitely give it a try 👍
This is a great video 👍
Nice one👍

Cool I’ll definitely try them out👍
@@Ellipsis0 I wish you fun, and am curious which one you like the most :)
"Under rated" it has 43,000 reviews on steam. Anomaly agent has 5000.
Nice suggestion, I’ll give it a try👍
