I just hate the fact that I cannot paint anything. I can watch for hours and marvel at the talent of painters.

In between layers of applying thicker paint more deliberately are you dipping your brush in just medium when you are sweeping and scumbling over the whole painting.

Thank you. In this video I use a thin cardboard. In the sketches I often use priming cardboard. For sales and exhibitions priming canvas.

What kind of wide brush are you using? It seems to be quite firm and there is a lot of resistance between the brush and the wooden board under the canvas paper which allows you to model the shapes quickly.
I use flat synthetic brush and palette knife.

Primed cardboard
thanks, shall we use normal primer or its necessary to use dedicated primer for oil paintings ?
The best primer is a conventional water-based paint plus PVA glue. I take 50 to 50. Three layers are enough. You can do more if you want. on the cardboard can put one layer

Not everybody can speak English.
NOPE....ITS A QUIET PEACEFUL man painting and we can SEE FEEL him thinking of his next step or color..........its enjoyable!.....educational...and there are other sites to learn what materials etc...but not this one..its just a cool way of watching him paint....we feel him paint
This video isn't listed as a tutorial, lol. Can you not see what materials he uses? Can you not see the colors he's using? Why does he need to announce that he's using burnt sienna if you can see him using it.
