Just check Gujarat GDP/capita before 1996 and you will find that it already had third largest GDP/capita among big States. Now? It is fourth largest. It would have been 5th largest had Punjab not declined.
Just check Gujarat's per capita manufacturing value added rank. It is same in 1995 as in 2023.
He has formed vibrant Gujarat, but the biggest win for Gujarat was the Nano factory because of WB politics. Leave that, Gujarat rank is same now or even below than 1995 in most economic parameters.

I am from Gujarat, Earning data is totally wrong. Farm workers live on a daily income source earning from 400 to 500 on daily bases by helping farmers in their farming and cultivation. In peak season, farmers didn't get workers by paying 600 as well.
