Hi. Thank you I needed another witness saying the same thing I was saying so that they both can see that we are not here to change the world! We are here to spread the gospel and teach the Love of Jesus Christ by his word. People are very confused about Who God is and it makes me ache for them and then I have to take abuse from them because of their ignorance. For instance one person says she was in warfare against the devil and on Gods side but she didnt know it. Also that in order to get her son back she will have to change this world and she is confused and another person is telling her some vanity about A message from God for her life and its sick man! So thank you for this I linked it to them both. I prefer Chuck Missler to study but I think its too academic for them also long winded and you know young people very short on discipline and attention spans.
In all of the years I have followed your lectures, watched your videos and read your publications, I believe that all them have been worthy works and good confessions before Almighty God. But this is different from all of the others: " What do the powers of darkness fear? They fear their own destruction, which means they fear the success of the Great Commission." Straight to the point - we win by achieving critical mass (fullness of the Gentiles). Let’s preach in the workplaces . I did and lost job - probably because of that, but maybe there was that one person who had to listen. If so, mission completed. Took me five long years to preach the gospel to my wife and countless quarrels, but now she reads the Bible more than me ! A Catholic I know finally opened his eyes to what the Catholic Church really does and now he brings true gospel to his family ! It’s sort of addictive. Glory to God !
Amen, Jesus is the Image of the Triune Nature of the Godhead. And yet the Father is Glorified while all three are equally God. Jesus was the most Humbled while the Holy Spirit contains the meekness the Gentleness Purity Wisdom Joy Peace Love etc. This is why Jesus said He will be filled to the fullness by the Holy Spirit. No other Man will ever be filled to the Fullness as Jesus Christ, because He alone is God. It fits so simply.
@@shadowlands8490 ... Every genuine believer has the same amount of the Holy Spirit. Jesus always did the will of the father. He was not a slave to his flesh. There was nothing that hindered him from operating in the spirit always. We must contend with our flesh and crucify it daily. Additionally, we are not a part of the godhead. We have no idea what the specific will of the father is and often get it wrong. When our bodies are finally redeem and we see Jesus face to face we will no longer have to contend with our flesh and we will know, even as we are known. We’ve been given all of the Holy Spirit. That lack of “fullness” as you describe it is not because we have been short changed. It is only our flesh that gets in the way. The more we submit to the will of our father in humility then the more we can experience that same fullness.

I like how he calls himself Dr. Heiser!!!! He has a PhD in the Hebrew Bible, and yet no one could tell what that stands for. If your knowledge consists in a religious interpretation of the texts, then his PhD has absolutely zero value. There are a lot of people who preach irrational belief, including multi-millionaire megachurch entertainers who call themselves Doctor.

Thank you Dr. Heiser. It’s easy to get caught up in the politics of spiritual warfare and lose sight of the actual work. In a time where there’s hopelessness, it’s comforting to know we CAN do something…share the good news. SIMPLE.
"get caught up in the politics of spiritual warfare" *Thats the crux of the entire deceit of this Halloween idea of spiritual warfare. We are not WARRING against demons nor are we warring against principalities. There is a struggle for a supremacy of WILLS. Its the OBJECTIVES of those WILLS that facilitate such a struggle. I look at it this way. As long as people view these things through the lens of 'Spiritual Warfare' it tells me one thing. They do so because they cant quantify what they mean when they say that and usually what people think they mean when they say this is absolute non-sense which takes us back to the problem - People dont REALLY understand what this is and as long as we're calling it by its most ABSTRACT qualifier it means we're not getting any better at understanding it. If you look at what Paul qualifies as being 'Strongholds' these are not SPIRITUAL POWERS. They are not DEMONIC HORDES. they are NOT FALLEN ANGELS. They are simply THOUGHTS that are OPPOSED to the MIND of GOD which gives such ENTITIES a foothold or a stronghold. Its about WHAT WE 'IMAGINE' or IMAGE to be TRUE.*

Im frustrated that we keep going around in circles with subjects like this that if they were any more clear, any more simple they would have to be put in another book labeled 'Spirituality for Dummies.' We've made this stuff COMPLICATED because we've taken THEMATIC thought which we've all been subjected to because we live in a THEMATIC society. We think in ICONS. And those ICONS dominate NUANCE. And to an extent THEMATIC thought can be seen throughout Biblical texts but thats the WIDE 10,000 MILES HIGH VIEW. We need to be better at the micro-view of Scripture. Paul is REALLY good at explaining himself when we dont interject THEMATIC or ICONIC misconceptions about 'WARFARE' into texts that are simply talking about the dangers of NOT being STEWARDS of our THOUGHTS. Mindblowing. I thought of this in the depths of my mind before. I understand. They aren't yet defeated, though they can be cast out. When a demon is removed and that person is saved, they fear that Christ's return is near. Good stuff.

With all due respect brother as one that's suffered it most of my life and am only now learning how to counter intrusive thoughts and whispers, there is more to this than you speak on.
Indeed our fight is not against flesh...it is important to remember this... sometimes we forget to be conscious of the invisible kingdoms and put our atention in the material world with all kind of pleasures and distractions (entretainment would be the proper word ;) ), but if we let the Holy Spirit guide us the results are VERY different... Lord let us be useful to your Kingdom and may the Great Commission be Accomplished! Glory to the Most High!
Great theology here. When the disciples came back from being sent out, they were rejoicing that they were able to cast out devils-something never recorded in the history of mankind before. But Jesus said, "Rejoice not that the devil's are subject to you, but rather that your names are written in the lamb's book of life." This teaching is in perfect accord with Christ's words, and there is no higher praise it can be given. Beautiful job Mike.

They immediately recognized Who He was, the Authority He carried and they only sought to negotiate where they might re-located when Jesus commanded them to depart. These things were subjugated by Jesus. ALL things are subdued BY Him. There is no WARFARE. You have to understand the difference between Power and Authority. When a traffic cop goes out in the middle of a busy intersection and holds his hand up for traffic to stop is he exerting Power or Authority? The cars dont stop because he is exerting POWER. The drivers put on their brakes and come to a stop because they RECOGNIZE the AUTHORITY.*

If you read II Cor. 10 very carefully Paul is specific as to what a 'STRONGHOLD' is and HOW a 'STRONGHOLD' is brought down. Strongholds are THOUGHTS that exalt themselves above the Knowledge of God or in other words the MIND of GOD. One reason the Church is so entirely screwed up is because they are beating at the air with 'In the Name of Jesus's' instead of doing what JESUS said 'Taking into CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT and BRINGING THEM INTO SUBJECTION to the KNOWLEDGE of GOD.' In Ephesians 4 Paul tells us how we do that - BY CREATING a SHIELD of BELIEFS. We should have SPECIFIC BELIEFS for EVERY SINGLE CONTRADICTORY THOUGHT that could POSSIBLY COME. This is 'SPIRITUAL WARFARE'*

I recently returned from New Orleans and I believe a close friend and I are dealing with spiritual warfare. Something has attached to him and he is going crazy. I love him dearly. I believe he is my spiritual soulmate. However I have evolved from great trauma and I am dealing with the negativity it is causing in my life. Please pray for me and him. I will overcome this with Gods strength but I am afraid for him. I can no longer be with him and I have blocked him on my phone because this energy is dark and strong. Please pray for us. It's a very different perspective based on material we've had under our nose the whole time which is why you want to stay keeping your iron sharp with other irons, rightly dividing the word of Truth... The way Heiser puts it, brings a new meaning to the idiomatic expression 'end times countdown" - - and it weaves in seamlessly with the exhortation and command of the Great commission. If you put that in context to act of spiritual warfare, but apply it metaphorically - this is new believers being drafted, so to speak, any opposing army would be on high alert if they're mortal enemy was arming themselves comedy would have to constantly be counting the cost of defeat. Because the more people that are bought into the ranks, for the most selfish reasons, that speeds up the time clock to their destruction that's why they fight with fury, awesome teaching here Michael Heiser has here.

Paul’s teachings are so easy to understand. Love Paul’s teachings Ephesians 6: talking about a born again blood bought child of God to use Gods Words to fight off the powers of destructions by putting on the full armor. Are Faith which is on the Cross the only object of our Faith, which is the only Faith God will recognize and the only faith Satan will recognize. Then you shall be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked. The temptations with Satan assails to the saints. The Word of God is the greatest story is Jesus Christ and the Cross!
Great message of truth. One of the ways the devil keeps "kicking the can down the road", i.e., "buying more time" is thru those who preach "the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ", meaning Jesus could return at any moment. Admittedly, this is true in a sense, BUT only after the fulfillment of Jesus words in Matthew 24:14, "And the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached as a testimony / witness to all nations (literally ethnic groups), THEN shall the end come." This is the main criteria for the 2nd coming of Christ. Unfortunately, this is never going to be fulfilled as long as the church at large continues to be a salt-free, low-light, powerless, and demonized entity. It's time for a new church and I'm believing God for it. Stay tuned.
This is full of wisdom and has given me such understanding. But also gave me an understanding how the body of Christ needs to be whole and delivered of anything hindering them from their call to reach others.
I'm not saying that our brother in Christ is wrong. I would like to bring to your attention to a warning that our LORD commanded do not trust in a man. I see immediately that everyone has just believed every thing that our brother in Christ has taught. We are called to receive the teaching and seek the Lord for wisdom through praying and meditation on His word. By the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us we will be illuminated that what is being taught is in line with the oracle of God. Test all things. Spiritual warfare has 2 battlefields, the minds of the believers, for which the weapons for it is what God has made us by grace through faith because of Christ's sacrifice, and the word which God has given us; and the soul of the unbelievers, for which the weapons are first prayer and second the preaching of the gospel with the demonstration of God's power.
*Paul never mentions the concept of Spiritual warfare without mentioning the MIND. It focuses on TACTICS not those who are behind those tactics. You cant cast demons off of the face of the earth. You cant bring down PRINCIPALITIES because though CORRUPTED they were ordained by GOD. So, we are not WARRING with them. Thats not who the struggle is with*

Amen, Jesus is the Image of the Triune Nature of the Godhead. And yet the Father is Glorified while all three are equally God. Jesus was the most Humbled while the Holy Spirit contains the meekness the Gentleness Purity Wisdom Joy Peace Love etc. This is why Jesus said He will be filled to the fullness by the Holy Spirit. No other Man will ever be filled to the Fullness as Jesus Christ, because He alone is God. It fits so simply.

Every genuine believer has the same amount of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus always did the will of the father. He was not a slave to his flesh. There was nothing that hindered him from operating in the spirit always.
We must contend with our flesh and crucify it daily.
Additionally, we are not a part of the godhead. We have no idea what the specific will of the father is and often get it wrong.
When our bodies are finally redeem and we see Jesus face to face we will no longer have to contend with our flesh and we will know, even as we are known.
We’ve been given all of the Holy Spirit. That lack of “fullness” as you describe it is not because we have been short changed. It is only our flesh that gets in the way.
The more we submit to the will of our father in humility then the more we can experience that same fullness.

I like how he calls himself Dr. Heiser!!!! He has a PhD in the Hebrew Bible, and yet no one could tell what that stands for. If your knowledge consists in a religious interpretation of the texts, then his PhD has absolutely zero value. There are a lot of people who preach irrational belief, including multi-millionaire megachurch entertainers who call themselves Doctor.

We are not WARRING against demons nor are we warring against principalities. There is a struggle for a supremacy of WILLS. Its the OBJECTIVES of those WILLS that facilitate such a struggle. I look at it this way. As long as people view these things through the lens of 'Spiritual Warfare' it tells me one thing. They do so because they cant quantify what they mean when they say that and usually what people think they mean when they say this is absolute non-sense which takes us back to the problem - People dont REALLY understand what this is and as long as we're calling it by its most ABSTRACT qualifier it means we're not getting any better at understanding it. If you look at what Paul qualifies as being 'Strongholds' these are not SPIRITUAL POWERS. They are not DEMONIC HORDES. they are NOT FALLEN ANGELS. They are simply THOUGHTS that are OPPOSED to the MIND of GOD which gives such ENTITIES a foothold or a stronghold. Its about WHAT WE 'IMAGINE' or IMAGE to be TRUE.*

With all due respect brother as one that's suffered it most of my life and am only now learning how to counter intrusive thoughts and whispers, there is more to this than you speak on.
Indeed our fight is not against flesh...it is important to remember this... sometimes we forget to be conscious of the invisible kingdoms and put our atention in the material world with all kind of pleasures and distractions (entretainment would be the proper word ;) ), but if we let the Holy Spirit guide us the results are VERY different... Great theology here. When the disciples came back from being sent out, they were rejoicing that they were able to cast out devils-something never recorded in the history of mankind before.
But Jesus said, "Rejoice not that the devil's are subject to you, but rather that your names are written in the lamb's book of life."

I recently returned from New Orleans and I believe a close friend and I are dealing with spiritual warfare. Something has attached to him and he is going crazy. I love him dearly. I believe he is my spiritual soulmate. However I have evolved from great trauma and I am dealing with the negativity it is causing in my life. Please pray for me and him. I will overcome this with Gods strength but I am afraid for him. I can no longer be with him and I have blocked him on my phone because this energy is dark and strong. Please pray for us. The way Heiser puts it, brings a new meaning to the idiomatic expression 'end times countdown" - - and it weaves in seamlessly with the exhortation and command of the Great commission.
If you put that in context to act of spiritual warfare, but apply it metaphorically - this is new believers being drafted, so to speak, any opposing army would be on high alert if they're mortal enemy was arming themselves comedy would have to constantly be counting the cost of defeat.

Paul’s teachings are so easy to understand. Love Paul’s teachings Ephesians 6: talking about a born again blood bought child of God to use Gods Words to fight off the powers of destructions by putting on the full armor. Are Faith which is on the Cross the only object of our Faith, which is the only Faith God will recognize and the only faith Satan will recognize. Then you shall be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked. The temptations with Satan assails to the saints. The Word of God is the greatest story is Jesus Christ and the Cross!

Great message of truth. One of the ways the devil keeps "kicking the can down the road", i.e., "buying more time" is thru those who preach "the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ", meaning Jesus could return at any moment. Admittedly, this is true in a sense, BUT only after the fulfillment of Jesus words in Matthew 24:14, "And the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached as a testimony / witness to all nations (literally ethnic groups), THEN shall the end come." This is the main criteria for the 2nd coming of Christ. Unfortunately, this is never going to be fulfilled as long as the church at large continues to be a salt-free, low-light, powerless, and demonized entity. It's time for a new church and I'm believing God for it. Stay tuned.

I'm not saying that our brother in Christ is wrong. I would like to bring to your attention to a warning that our LORD commanded do not trust in a man. I see immediately that everyone has just believed every thing that our brother in Christ has taught. We are called to receive the teaching and seek the Lord for wisdom through praying and meditation on His word. By the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us we will be illuminated that what is being taught is in line with the oracle of God. Test all things.

*Paul never mentions the concept of Spiritual warfare without mentioning the MIND. It focuses on TACTICS not those who are behind those tactics. You cant cast demons off of the face of the earth. It DOES matter. Increasing the Kingdom of God in the earth does not mean DECREASING the Kingdom of darkness. It means DECREASING the INFLUENCE of that kingdom. They will NOT be removed until Jesus returns.*
@@philnewman9950 If you look at the Parable of the Sower. Jesus talks about the enemy STEALING the seed of the Word of God BEFORE it can be UNDERSTOOD and yield fruit. We see this alluded to more than once. So, why is it that Satan cannot ROB you of BELIEFS? And what is SATAN's only recourse once a person has BELIEFS formed within themselves?
