Great find. This looks awesome. Do you have a 3-month follow-up, are the batteries still working as intended, does it melt high-heat sticks. I love the fact that it doesn't fall over all the time. I'm tempted to just get one anyway.

I use this quite a bit and have run a few high heat sticks through it, but flow isn't as fast. I use DeWalt genuine batteries, so those are high quality.

The gun in this review uses FULL-SIZE (1/2" dia.) glue sticks. Mellif also makes one for "mini" (1/4" dia.) glue sticks that also operates with 18/20V DeWalt, Makita and Milwaukee batteries.
What's the difference 'tween the two? "full size" glue sticks LAST LONGER than "mini" sticks (i.e., you'll use MORE "mini" sticks) and "mini" sticks "heat-up" FASTER than "full-sized" ones because they're smaller in "mass".
Therefore, the size (diameter) of the glue sticks you intend to use will determine which gun you select.

I prefer the 1/2" diameter glue sticks as what I use this for is seldom a tiny project. I do have a 1/4" gun with a small tip, but seldom use it.

@@rogersshop Well, you sorta "confirmed" what I posted. :)
I wonder the "warm-up" difference is between the Mellif for "full-size" sticks and the one for "mini-size" sticks?

@@Promptjock Not something I've timed. When using this, I turn it on, then get my project prepped for use. I suppose 5-6 minutes.

@@rogersshop Mr. Shop: I just bought the "mini-stick" gun and just rant a "warmup" test on it. The "mini-stick" gun is Ready-To-Use 90 (NINETY) SECONDS after applying power. I really like the flow rate of the gun as well, but I do wonder if theere are diffferent-sized (i.e., flow-rate) nozzles that can be changed fir the "stock" nozzle.
Anyhoo, I hope my "unofficial" test is useful regarding your Product Reviews, etc. :)
