Thank You! for supporting the channel, this helps in me providing new content each week!
I picked up the dual temp Ryobi a few weeks ago and I really like it. Maybe it’s just my luck but I’ve never needed the drip try even after a near hour of use it doesn’t drip. When I got the gun Ryobi was also running a hidden special buy for two of their brand new high performance 6AH batteries for $139. I run the glue gonna on that battery and even after an hour the battery shows full. The heat gun really likes that 6AH battery to. Awesome review, I love your channel keep up the great work!
Same here, thats the one I ended up keeping. Thats defiantly a really good deal, Homedepot every now and then runs some good deals on Ryobi.
Thanks! hopefully things pickup soon!
As a reminder to anyone looking, I bought the basic single temp one and it's still a good tool, but wish I bought one with temp adjustment, also realized I might have been better with the compact after realizing the weight of the battery. Almost wonder if my Ryobi inverter would run a plug in iron- might be the best of both worlds. Experienced the same with my dremel type tools- I like the small size/wand setup of the 18v more than a cordless 12v/compact where they try to get it all in hand, but also makes me realize for some situations, corded on a semi portable power source works great for car work when buying another tool isn't an option. These days though cordless handheld tools are capable of more more or as much power as a 10amp 110v plug is which is crazy.
Thanks for this comparison. I'm frabbing the P307. It has the features I was looking for in a cordless glue gun.
No problem! Glad it helped.
The Bauer can be modded to accept dewalt batteries. It only cost $14 when Harbor Freight has 30% off under $20 sale for ITC members.
exactly what i just did 15 for the adapter 14 for the gun and i now have a dewalt glue gun for 30 bucks
I have the Ryobi 305, take it any day over the Hart and Bauer, I can change the tips, and I don't know about your thermometer, but the temp for my glue was 330 degrees F, I have a 3 AH battery though.
I have an Arrow and 2 Surebonders for small hobby stuff.
Awesome video. This gave me a very good direction for which cordless glue gun to get. Thank you
Thanks! glad to hear it helped, I did just post an updated version ua-cam.com/video/om-dz6iiTfE/v-deo.html
The Ryobis can be bought at other locations than HD. Direct Tools sells factory reconditioned and factory blemished with warranty. There are also a lot of resale stores that sell the Ryobis. I just bought the P306 for $18, unopened package.
Nice, I need to start looking on Direct Tools. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for this! I'm looking for a cordless glue gun and you definitely helped me to decide on one. Especially having all 3 ryobi's on here
No problem, Yep it interesting ryobi makes 3.
Im currently using the gogonova battery hot glue gun and it has been amazing i get more that 4 hour of use on a 1 to 2 hour charge and it has been amazing appart from the glue just flowing out when not using it
I have the Bauer one and man oh man it gets hot fast and can eat an arrow really long glue stick in minutes
Thanks for this vid! Old gun broke, bought a new Stanley---JUNK, hot glue came out of tip and where the stick enters the barrel at the same time then while still hot the glue at barrel entry would cure and could no longer pull trigger to advance the stick---sent it back got refund. Now considering the Bauer. Thanks again!!!👍
No problem! Yeah I think the Bauer is the best value for the money. They seem to be expanding the line as well.
This makes me happy!! I love my Ryobi tools and I just picked up the mini gun for crafting type work. I now know I picked well 🙏
Nice, yeah I like the mini that’s the one I ended up keeping
I looking for one for my wife. She likes the Plug in gorilla glue brand gun but the dog chewed the cord i was going to buy another one she dont use them that Often But a cordless one I'm thinking she would like More convenient So you like that Minnie ryobi? Rigid just came out with one too I know this video is old
@@paulsouders3489 yes I like the mini a lot it works really well and fits nicely even in my bigger hands.
@@ReikibyMike-SixofCupsTarot ok cool thank you
Think I would go along with your findings. Ryobi are actually putting out some pretty good tools these days, they just don't have the prestige of some of the other brands.
Yep and a lot of different tools, which makes it easy for a DIYer or maybe even a pro. They now also have ONE
+ HP tools.
I have the HP full size hammer drill and it went through a 2ft thick log with one ¾ full 4AH
Thanks so much for this review!! I appreciate it! I’m purchasing the Ryobi.
No Problem! Nice!
Come on folks half of the tools reviewed are Ryobi. Then compared to 1 Harbor Freight and 1 Walmart. How could you take this review serious. Ryobi won before the review started. Those leaving positive comments do you believe big tobacco when they promote smoking because a study showed it is good for weight loss.
I appreciate your test, and it was a little helpful, but you tested 3 from Ryobi, and nothing from Surebonder?
Thanks, Surebonder is in the updated video with others ua-cam.com/video/om-dz6iiTfE/v-deo.html
Another tool the Worx system has for their 18V system that also offers rotary, solder, spray gun, heat gun and a few others
Nice review also have the smaller Ryobi that works well
I know this is 1year old but the p305 ryobi is $20 on amazon and the dual temp ryobi is $56 so I went with the p305 and had no problems easy to use and does the job for $20
Wow that's a good deal, they must have clearanced them out. Cant go wrong for that price.
Comparison video done right 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks!
EXCELLENT!
The only thing I miss is that I would like to see more of the little guys -- I'm assembling architectural models, which means small sectioned basswood strips and sticks.
Thanks!, at some point I hope to revisit this, when that happens I will test the small stick guns.

Could you compare the ryobis again now that they've introduced the confusing PCL921 as I guess the follow up to the p305?
Yeah hope to soon do the same test with the new PCL921 and Ridgid + some others.
I suspect the P305 will be discontinued in the near future. Also worth noting, the docking style of the small Ryobi means there is no downside to using a larger battery on it either, if anything it will only make the dock MORE stable.
Yep I don't believe they are making the 305 anymore. Very good point on the docking station.
Ryobi also came out with a glue gun similar to the Dremel one recently
Yeah the mini uses the same sticks.
I had the smaller Ryobi and used it for a few days, then started having issues with the gun making contact with base. I had to constantly move it around and eventually had to have the base sit uneven for the gun to make a connection. Returned it but didn't get a new one.
Interesting I did keep the small one and haven't had any issue with it, but honestly I don't use it a lot. Thanks for the info.
I just used my corded Stanley to re-seat a window seal that had come loose from its channel. I could not reach the channel with the gun so I removed the seal and brought it to the gun a few feet away. Worked fine but had me thinking there must be a cordless solution.
Yep, seem to work well. Ridgid just released a version. But that Bauer is a good value.
Love the turn table!
Thanks!
I have the Hart, love it!!!
I found the RYOBI P305 on sale $19.95 (tool only) I’m already in the RYOBI family that made it an easy choice
Nice, yep an easy choice in that case.
WHICH OF THESE TAKES RIDGIT BATTERIES?
They just released one last week R860433, so I'm guessing home depot will have them soon. ua-cam.com/video/nn32aGbBa5w/v-deo.html
There are modified versions of that Worksite gun that use Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita batteries, and in matching colours.
I’m sorry if I missed it - any idea how long the baby Ryobi works for when it’s not connected to its dock? I assume at least one glue stick? Any idea when it slows down?
Yeah its really about one, if you push it I got 2 1/2 but that was forcing the stick and you could tel the temp of the glue was way down.
Thank you, for the share, good video. Useful information.
No problem! Glad it was helpful!
I am a dewalt guy. but for sure i did made the bauer worked with my dewalt batteries.
Yeah I’m surprised they don’t make a cordless one, they have a corroded version.
Thank you so much ryobi it is !
No Problem! Thanks!
How is the weight and the precision on the glue? Sometimes I have to do small detail gluing. Are the guns actually bulky and heavy and awkward to get into small spces?
I found them easily to move around, but you are talking a lot more weight. Basically think of a corded gun + a drill battery. If your using a smaller gun then probably the small ryobi is best but it really depends on how much glue your projects take at a time because the gun will need to sit back on the stand to reheat up.
Hope this helps

Nice!
How do these compare to Surebonder's PRO2-60 cordless glue gun? Thanks.
That I can't say, I might be able to test that one next month here and see.
Great info, thanks for posting!
No problem!

Is that Stravinsky in the background at the end? Don't recognize it.
I can't say for sure, it is listed in the editing software as "longitude"
That Dremel is sold as a Bosch green in Europe.
Great review thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Of course the Hart instructions look like Ryobi's. They're both made by TTI.
In my experience, the non stick platform for the Ryobi hot glue gun is pretty terrible. It loses it non-stick properties very quickly and I had to make shift a solution after probably about 1 weeks worth of use.
Thanks good video
No Problem!
They're all made in the same chinese sweatshopt, just pick the one you like with the features you like and click buy.
Really wish makita made one.
Yeah I’m surprised they don’t.
Especially given how big their tool ecosystem is.
I’m going with an Amazon special that accepts my Dewalt 20V for $27
Yeah I’m surprised dewalt hasn’t made one seeing they have a corded version

I look at the performance not the brand. I also buy all the tools tested, none are provided by manufactures. Believe what you want, but thats my honest review.
@@Tools-Tested I thank you and appreciate your honesty. Re-reading my comment I was quite harsh
Bauer beats Ryobi in some tools though, and Ryobi beats Bauer in others. It's not bad to compare the two.
what about the ridgid ty
Tested well, see ua-cam.com/video/om-dz6iiTfE/v-deo.html
GREAT VERY INFORMATIVE
