Seemed like great idea at the time until every mosquito, spider, geckos etc used to come through the gaps in the wooden planks and turn the place into a jungle at night. Fck that, I soon mooved out! The town has certainly moved on since then.
Perhaps you could name places to get transport to Ban Chang?I got there a few years ago in a taxi and stayed at the camel hotel and returned on a bus into pattaya centre.
Adam from Cherry Bar in the Soi Diana Bar complex used to do a Ban Chang bar crawl heading there in the afternoon and heading back to Pattaya around 9pm , don`t know if he still does

@@Buzzinpattaya the old town has so much charm authentic Thai charm the night market is nice but compared to Pattaya it’s a sleepy town but it’s a hidden gem and we’re you pay 30 000 thai baht for a sea view your pay 10 000 there. So food is cheaper there as well. And accommodation
To the locals as translated directly from Thai, Pla Beach, to others, Pala Beach, road signage department Phala beach. All the same place so don't worry! Same same but different?
I am in bang chang now didnt like the beaches to much some area's around the lord nelson hotel look like rubble distressed buildings, just been down the boom boom bar area this was 2pm girls are bored and very hungry ?i will go tonite and see what its like some rough looking ones out there at mo i will see what tonite brings
We have something in common. We have actually had a dump in the same toilet as I’ve stayed in every one of those rooms in front of reception at one time or another!😃

Thanks for the tour. I've been to Ban Chang 3 or 4 times on an afternoon bar crawl but it was nice to see the beach area.
