    I’m so pumped for you man! I love the paragliding but need some spinning blade of death in my videos. I was hoping someone would step up and help you out while you’re serving your country overseas! Loren and Shannon are amazing pilots and great people. Great to have them as a part of our community. I’m fortunate to be close to them in Florida. Thanks Four Winds, more Huneycutt is good for us all.

    Exciting!!
    I’ll be ordering my PAP Tinox soon though I wish the EFI was an option. I actually just cancelled my Scout Carbon EFI order. I tried a friends PAP and I can’t believe how comfortable it was. I’m a newer pilot , trained 21 months ago and have 170 hours, all on my Scout.
    Bring on the Tinox!!

    I got one just like it. I trained with Lorren and Shannon back in April, 2018. They are VERY nice people. I think it has a unique sound compared to the Air Conception I trained on. Those individual quadrants on the netting can be replaced individually if needed. You didn't get an electric start; no problem, it can be converted. Also, the throttle is in your dominant hand and it doesn't have that "spikey" feeling the Air Conception has. The only drawback, it is a bit heavier than an Air Conception. I think Shannon bought out Eric Dufour's wife and has all of her equipment, so, she can make repairs to wings, etc. I had a really good experience with 4 winds' training; that Lorren is a STICKLER for groundhandling. His son Matthew is a good pilot as well. So, Mark more flying videos! Great video!

    BTW, Lorren was able to break that thing down and pack it in the trunk of my car with my wing and helmet. Not that you would need it, but, it also converts to cart launch as well. I believe Matt Minyard demonstrated that. You fly safely, please! I don't want you to be having a "ton of friggin' fun" and take a wing collapse and damage your new motor; this ain't no Blackhawk! Fly safe, Mark!

    • @MarkHuneycutt
      @MarkHuneycutt  5 років тому +1

      I'm coming from the Nitro 200 so I like the power upgrade. The PAP harness has a nicely padded harness on your back, free flight like airbag on the bottom for safety, phone pocket, plastic windows for tachometer - all things I've never seen on other paramotors and it is because the harness is a custom Supair harness made for PAP. The transportability for the PAP is awesome. Breakdown of the hoop is super quick and the flat arms help as well. It has a few features built into the arms to help with torque compensation as well as the torque strap. Throttle is better on the PAP due to the clean routing and cruise control - a feature I've used a bunch in my 9 hours of flying it. The gas tank is easier to fill than most motors because the fill port sticks out the side which means you can use your standard gas cans and not solely the ones with long hoses (My buddy Greg was throwing out his gas cans because his Paramotor gas tank is hard to fill with them so I said "nooo let me have them" and I scored two free gas cans). It's a well thought out paramotor.

    Why do frame designers leave such humongous gaps in the netting? Seems silly.

    • @fairbanksairriders
      @fairbanksairriders 5 років тому +1

      It's not silly, it's counter intuitive as are many other aspects of paramotoring. Not all frames have gaps. The light frames may have some silly looking gaps because the main reason for the frame is to keep the lines out of the propeller during inflation. And you thought the frame was there to keep fingers, hands and miscellaneous materials away from the propeller: that would be too intuitive. Also, this is what standardised training is for. Smooth Skies, and then we Fly.

    • @ukulelefatman
      @ukulelefatman 5 років тому +1

      @@fairbanksairriders I just don't get why they wouldn't want to provide full protection. Is it aesthetics ? Aerodynamics? This frame has a giant gap, right where the pull start is located....why would they do that? Like I said, silly. : )

    • @fairbanksairriders
      @fairbanksairriders 5 років тому

      Not here to argue. Silly is not an aviation term. Probably you intended to say "risky" but it's more complicated than it looks. The gaps in the frame are for all the reasons you mentioned, plus light weight. More important than the gaps is pilot training and experience. Not all pilots need the heavy cage of a 70 lb paramotor. My EOS 100 weighs just 38 lbs. Been flying paramotors for 20 years and never had any problems. I don't like that paramotors have become an "extreme sport" like X-games. It was better when no one knew what paramotors were. To me paramotoring is one of the simplest forms of aviation, and aviation can be done safely regardless of the cage design. Hope this helps.

    • @scottjulius2834
      @scottjulius2834 5 років тому +2

      I agree giant gaps that could easily be fixed for tenths of an ounce. It might not be in aviation term but it does seem silly

    • @fairbanksairriders
      @fairbanksairriders 5 років тому

      OK like some comments on UA-cam can be silly, that's intuitive. Would like to see your improved cage design. Engineers have been working on this issue for decades.
