I am really happy that I moved the grading process to Color Finale. With the masks and all those precision tools, it almost feels like a new lease of life for FCP to me. The one thing I would like to see in 2024 is Loupedeck integration. Color grading is so much better with a haptic interface...
But I can understand that well too. There are often so-called maintenance contracts for software that needs to be constantly further developed. Without such a contract you just stay on the version you bought + a few updates. Which is ok is. What I can't understand, for example, are subscriptions to stupid smartphone apps like face filters. This is pure rip-off.
I have version 2.5.2 I paid for and when trying to update it says I am on the latest version? Yet your video shows 2.7.3 is the latest version? Am I missing something? Or is it bc I am still running FCPX 10.6.5? Which does not work with 10.6.5 FCPX? Thanks
Please contact our support team to receive Color Finale 2.6.5, which is required to run alongside FCP 10.6.5. Color Finale 2.7.3 is compatible with FCP 10.7.
@@ColorFinaleChannel I Wrote you all several months ago and they told me there was not a working version for FCPX 10.6.5 and Silicon Macs? Are you referring to Intel only Macs?
All software we sell comes with a perpetual license and does not require regular payments, commonly known as a subscription. It includes one year of free updates. Further updates require the purchase of annual support. For more details, visit colorfinale.com/renew.
i have color finale 2 but that is what i expected to happen for future updates@@ColorFinaleChannel thats why i switched a to DVR and using only on board tools from that day one not having to pay for minimal updates

Are you going to be a subscription model?
They're going to start requiring a subscription to get updates.

@@ColorFinaleChannel That's right... not a "subscription" per se. Other companies like to call it a "hybrid" purchase option.
