      Hi, in Transcoder 2 we've focused on N-RAW and BRAW for that feature, but it supports standard ARRIRAW import.

    Thank you for this video. What is the purpose of 'Clamp values' when exporting a Lut, I still wonder if it should be checked or not?

    Interesting, It seemed that ColorFinalePro 2 wasn't designed with Luts in mind, but then I'm seeing that there are ways to access your luts. I'm happy this video exists. I fumbled following this video as this is more of a fact video and less of a instruction video, at least if you follow the clicks on the screen you can figure out after 3 watches how to find everything, but the voice does not offer any directions. . But lo and behold, I found 2000 Luts and could preview them all.

    'Bloom' appears monochromatic to white - it would be great if it could take on the chroma of the light sources creating the bloom. For example a pure red neon sign should be emanating a pure red light not a white bloom.

    If I put Grain on to much Clips with Color Finale, the Screen goes black on some clips. I have this problem since 1-2 Years. I Got now the new Update but the problem is the same. I am using a Mac Book Pro M1 16GB.

    I bought the plugin 2 years ago and now can't use it. lol. 145 usd and still want money from me. Not recommended.

    The person mask is super unreliable and often grabs parts of an image that you can't omit. With the new magnetic mask feature released with FCP11, it makes CF2's person mask obsolete. I agree with others that having a reliable bug free color grading plugin is much more valuable than what is currently being offered. At this point, I'm trying to use a combination of FCP masking with CF2 grading tools. Been using CF ever since it was released, but it's disappointing to pay for the additional subscription features when the core functionality is troubled. Masking with anamorphic footage is also a pain, which is quite a let down.

    I pay attention to the little details that bring characters to life: their expressions, gestures, the color grading that creates a unique atmosphere (Moonlight is awesome for exemple)… and the sets, to see if I could live there. Honestly, some movie apartments are way cooler than mine! 😅

    I pay more attention to lighting, because lighting is everything. I'm able to know what type of a movie it is, even color grading becomes easier when the lighting is good.

    if we apply a custom LUT, should all adjustments (color wheels, six vectors, etc) be layered before it in the layers panel? or should only log wheels be layered before the LUT

    Before I got into filmmaking, I didn't care at all how a certain film was color-graded; I just cared how it looked. All I cared about was whether I found it interesting. Today, I'm looking into how cinematographers might've lit a certain scene and how they color graded the film. Plus, I enjoy how a certain character is being built for a deeper role, and how they build tension, which often leads to a plot twist.

    How does this differ from the HSL sliders in CFP?

      it seems to be way more precise. stock HSL can be dicey in complex scenes - you need to adjust/compensate a lot more to bring back certain color channels after fixing your problems. often times it results in unwanted artifacts

    Story and Music are my main concerns. Being a musician I always pay attention to the music. If you watch The Lord of the Rings you can see that Howard Shore's music really adds a massive amount to the world building and the overall tone of the movies. If you don't have the right composition it will impact the story and no matter how beautiful your shots look, it will always feel off.     I pay attention to the many different aspects - how camera angles & shot matching in a sequence add to the overall storyline and deliver impact, and how a certain lighting arrangement can alter the way we perceive a scene, plus the color grading that adds to the believability of a particular situation.

    When I watch a film, what draws me in the most is how the colouring shapes the entire experience. It’s amazing how subtle changes in shades can completely shift the mood and evoke emotions, even before anyone speaks or the music kicks in. I’m always fascinated by how this artistry works - how the way colours are used can bring the story and emotions to life, making the whole experience much more immersive and powerful.
