So the best option for the grill is to make a cut in the grill and not use the relocation bracket, so as not to have problems with the accident?
I'm not going to put the rs3 grill on it but I do want the acc and audi pre sense to work ?

i recently installed an RS grill aswell with one of those brackets and i have the error. is it just a simple recalibration? the sensor does NOT look blocked or covered at all

Hello, how has your modified RS grille worked out so far in regards to Pre-Sense/ACC errors? I recently bought a used 2018 S3 and the previous owner had installed a non-ACC grille for some reason, so I'm exploring what options are possible to replace it with an RS grille w/ the ACC cutout without needing to relocate and recalibrate the radar.

there is no reason to touch it if you dont have a light. most people dream of being so lucky to not need a radar hole in the grill and still have it work.

@@LastHumansGarage Sorry, I should have specified - I do have the error for both ACC and Pre-sense currently due to the radar being obstructed by having the wrong grille (with no radar hole). So I need to change to either the correct stock S3 grille, or the RS-style grille with the correct radar hole.

@@ericbourduas8141 is your radar in the original position? You may be able to trim the RS3 grill and make a hole. then pay for that radar calibratoin

@@LastHumansGarage I do believe it's still in the original position. I did briefly consider cutting up the current grille to give the radar a clear sightline, but since there's no radar cutout at all as it is now, I suspect it would look pretty janky since there's no proper frame around the radar hole like there is on the correct RS3 grille w/ ACC.
The only error I have right now is about the radar's view being obstructed, not the calibration, so my thinking is that just swapping the grille for one with the radar hole (and trimming the bottom like you did if I opt for the RS3 grille) would solve my problem on its own, without needing a new calibration.
It sounds like your ACC is still working fine with your trimmed RS3 grille then?
