I don't know if you have watched DF play any clicker games but he is surprisingly good at math! If not watch him play cookie clicker! I mean compared to the average person, he can do math and percentages in his head really fast. (Or maybe he is using a calculator and it just seems like that because of editing 🤷♀️)
@Krystal_Gaming_ As someone who has adhd, I can sympathize with DF! I always have to read things multiple times! I can read a book and when I'm done it's like I only read every other page! The issue is my mind is going so fast that my brain will basically go auto pilot! So I'll be reading, start processing or imagining in my mind what I just read, all the while my brain is on auto pilot so by the time I snap out of it I've "read" three more pages and have to go back and re-read what I just read! Something similar happens if I'm reading or concentrating on something like drawing. If someone comes up to me and starts talking to me, I LITERALLY will NOT hear them! Crazy I know right! So when it seems like Df is only reading like half something important, like an item description, he most likely IS reading the whole thing. But somewhere his brain is getting distracted thinking of strategy, some thing else in the game, maybe a computer popup, or something completely unrelated irl is taking his attention away so he isn't absorbing the info consciously. Edited for clarity
@@allisoncurtis4260 So adhd can basically either make you so locked in that nothing else exists, or so zoned out that everything else exist except what you want? That's tough.

A computer can store much, much bigger numbers. One integer variable can only store that number. A computer can store a lot of integer variables and bigger variables (64 bits and such, for example)
Software dev here. The first part was correct, that is the limit for a signed 32 bit integer because the largest 32 digit number in base 2 (a bit is 1 or 0, hence base 2), therefore there are 2^32 possible combinations of 1s and 0s, 2^32 = 4,294,967,295 = 2*2,147,483,647 (-2,147,483,647 - 2,147,483,647)
2,147,483,647 is the positive signed 32-bit integer limit, which explains the limit. They are represented by 32-bit integers, which is the default integer size in many languages like C++, for example.
@@Flegado The issue with that is that it would get in the way of exactitude. Having exact numbers limits you to 32-bit integers. (And yes, the game has negative numbers too.
@@Flegado Most incremental games do not concern themselves with exact precision after a point, so they'll either use floats, or fudge the final integers over some place values as your overall production rate reduces precisions of 1s or 100s to nigh moot trivialities
