The musical quality and pure beauty of it were enough to make me cry the first time I heard it as well. For a Christian, it must be twice as emotional. I have been a believer for more than 50yrs now, and the older I get, and the farther along the road I've come; the more I see of the darkness of this world, the brighter shines my Lord, and I can no longer get through many of the beautiful hymns I sang so easily in my youth when the words were still " head knowledge " and not yet " heart knowledge ". Now, the words of praise and stories of His Love and Grace overwhelm me as I feel the weight of the sin of this world, my own included, and realize what His Love for us has cost Him. I have watched this 4 times in a row. I have been battling demons for awhile now. This song has got me crying knowing that there is a higher power. I need to take the time to take longer walks with the all mighty God.
I have to cry when they sing this song it reminds me of standing up in church on Sunday morning and hearing my moms voice next to me. This was one of our favorites.

I have been a believer for more than 50yrs now, and the older I get, and the farther along the road I've come; the more I see of the darkness of this world, the brighter shines my Lord, and I can no longer get through many of the beautiful hymns I sang so easily in my youth when the words were still " head knowledge " and not yet " heart knowledge ". Now, the words of praise and stories of His Love and Grace overwhelm me as I feel the weight of the sin of this world, my own included, and realize what His Love for us has cost Him.
I am blessed to see such a young, lovely lady who is so moved by this same spirit we share.

No need to apologize my sister in Christ. I am a 59 year old white man from Texas and this song brought tears to these old eyes. The FATHER, the SON and the HOLY GHOST are everything to me and I am not ashamed to admit it. The Bible tells us that GOD made everyone of us in HIS likeness. So why do we draw racial lines, racial barriers ? I don't believe our FATHER in Heaven wants us to do anything but love one another and help one another. So never apologize about your faith. New Subscriber!!! : ) First off I want to say...DON'T YOU DARE APOLOGIZE!! :) When the Spirit hits you, you react. Simple as that! I have trouble with people that can hear that song and NOT react pretty much the same way, especially this version. This was the song/video that turned me into a Home Fry. After this I was HOOKED! But I have always felt that this is one of the 2 greatest songs EVER written. The other is "Amazing Grace" and to hear them do it with Peter Hollens will I Guarantee get the waterworks started flowing again. It's fun in this video to see the beatboxer, Adam Rupp, sing a solo (he doesn't do many) on "It Is Well". As you have come to realize, these guys are Phenomenal!!!! I have to cry when they sing this song it reminds me of standing up in church on Sunday morning and hearing my moms voice next to me. This was one of our favorites.
