Hello, thank you so much for creating this video and sharing with us. This video helps me a lot since I'm using Rovectin sunscreen (it's a mineral sunscreen), and I'm using Rovectin Deep Marine micellar water. Now I know how to cleanse the mineral suncreen properly and perfectly. Thank you!
I'm glad I could help! Depending on how stubborn your mineral sunscreen is, using a balm cleanser can be really effective too. That's my personal preference 😊
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I'm still scared to use cleansing oil and cleansing balm. Do you have any recommendation of hypoallergenic cleansing oil / cleansing balm?
@@127val The best one I have tried, which does not increase my acne and feels gentle on the skin, is the Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm. That is also what I can recommend. You can check its ingredients here: incidecoder.com/products/beauty-of-joseon-radiance-cleansing-balm-2021

Hi Milssa, thanks for ur great info and effort. So i want to ask u , is ok to use only micellar water to clean spf ? Without another cleanser. I use biodema micellar. Thanks again. I'd appreciate if u answered 🌻
If everything comes properly off the skin, yes :)
Thanks alot 🤍
Hey there, hope you doing great. So my skin care routine is like cerave cleanser, cerave hyaluronic acid serum, ordinary vitamins c suspension, and ordinary moisturizer. This my morning and evening routine. But the thing is I got some pimples and dark sport of it and also wanna improve my skin texture. What should I add in my routine for it.
You're videos are really great..!!
Hey! :)
What's your skin type?
Do you have acne-prone skin?
Do you have a lot of sun exposure and do you use sunscreen?
Dry but not too much. And pimple started coming more than moth before till that I didn't have any thing. I use mineral sunscreen of aveeno.
@@darshilpatel3858 So, for how long have you been using those products?
I started just with clenser like 2 or 3 week, cleanser and hyaluronic is 14 to 10 days and all together less than week or a week..
@@darshilpatel3858 So, what do you think is causing the breakouts? Do you have a lot of acne?
Hello great video:) have an appointment coming up where I can not get my head wet for 4 days, however I will be applying sunscreen before my appointment because I'll be outside for the commute to get there.
Do you think the micellar water technique you're using in this video will get all the sunscreen off once I get back home?
I would prefer to remove all the sunscreen and hopefully not leave any residue behind but again I'm unable to get my head wet so I don't know how to do this... Could you please help me? Ps. I tend to get congested and I'm acne prone...
Do you really need to use sunscreen for these four days? 🤔
But also it takes it off unless you have a heavy mineral-based sunscreen, but it won't be an issue for chemical sunscreens. You may need to go over it a couple of times.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial hi, thanks for your response. I have to use sunscreen for at least one day.
I usually use skin aqua shower milk hybrid sunscreen. Waterproof..
@@DB6904. Yes, this should work.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial ok. Thank you.
i use the beauty of joseon sunscreen (no makeup) and want to remove it with bioderma micellar water. You think one pad is enough to remove it all?
and for your sunscreen, you swiped over the same places multiple times, do you think the boj sunscreen would be broken up with one swipe?
because my sunscreen has no white cast, so idk if im removing it or not.
Yeah, I mainly used a white-casted sunscreen to demonstrate it; otherwise, no one would be able to see it. Still, I recommend using 2-3 cotton pads to remove your sunscreen, and it isn't wrong to go over the same area twice. You may not need to do it as often as I did, as your sunscreen should come off pretty easily. Still, it's best to go over an area twice than still having it on your face.
Hey! I am going to use a waterproof sunscreen and it is also a hybrid sunscreen. But my skin is extremely oily and I do not want to use any oil cleanser. Can I use my regular micellar water instead later on followed by a gentle cleanser? Will it be enough to remove it?
Hm... it really depends on the formulation. Some sunscreens come off the skin better than others. Instead of using an oil cleanser, try a balm cleanser, like the one from Beauty of Joseon or The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser :)
Is there a possibility that my micellar water (i am using the garnier micellar cleansing water) is drying out my skin and making it more sensitive if I use it everyday and in pretty generous amounts?
Hey! :)
Which one do you have?
As far as I can remember, Garnier has different ones (different colors) for different skin types/needs.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial i have the pink one, the name is garnier micellar cleansing water for sensitive skin.
@@t1na20 Hm...this shouldn't happen. How do you use it and have you already tried other Micellar Waters?
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial i put kinda a lot of product on a cotton pad and wipe it all across the face. i tried a lot of micellar waters and i always see a difference when i dont use it for two days or more - my skin is smoother and looks more hydrated. i think i need to try switching to a cleansing oil or a balm.
@@t1na20 Do you rinse it off? Also, do you use any other skincare products like a moisturizer?
I use a mineral sunscreen with silicones. So it is waterproof i suppose. Will the micellar water remove it or will i need to use oil cleanser?
I recommend using a balm cleanser instead, like the one from Beauty of Joseon.
Hi dear I'm your big fan I started using right products while watching your videos and my skin looks batter day by day.
I have dry skin and brown patches like pigmentation. follow your ordinary pigmentation routine and it's working. But problems is now starting pimples on my face is any suggestions??

Which routine do you use? Since I have a few pigmentation routines on my channel 😉

@@allfoodhomemade6211 Have you already used some of them? If so, for how long and have you already seen a difference?
The products that you have picked look good.
How would use create your AM and PM routine? (Use no more than 3 serums in one routine).
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial niacinamide and hyaluronic acid morning and niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin evening after moisturizer.
Yes, so where would you add your two new products?
Would you recommend the Cerave Micellar Water for Oily Acne Prone & Sensitive skin?
To remove sunscreen and/or makeup, yes. Otherwise look for a Salicylic Acid Cleanser.
Currently I’m using the COSRX Salicylic Acid Gentle Cleanser and I’m starting to use the Paula’s Choice Gel Exfoliant 2% BHA, is that okay?
@@milkshake2075 Yes, that's fine! :)
Thank you so much for your help 🥰
Good evening miss Melissa ☺️
Btw I'm Paul from Philippines :)
I just want to ask especially if your not busy, is it ok if I use Niacinamide, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid from all ordinary and my facial cleansing will be is Heimish All clean green foam? What will be the first with this facial routine? And what will be the best sunscreen for this? I want to minimize my pimple marks because I have big and deep marks :(
Hope you can answer and help me with this miss Melissa. 🙏
Thanks in advance, more power to your channel and God bless you all 😇
Hey! :)
Do you only have acne marks like dark spots or physical scars or maybe both?
Please do not use Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid in the same routine. Use both in the evening but on different days.

I have only pimple marks, so may I know what will be the best order of i said routine? Amd what will be best or better sunscreen for this? ☺️🙏
@@pauleguia1808 What's your skin type?
I mentioned a sunscreen recommendation above.

I'm using micellar water followed by cleanser too but I don't like the amount of rubbing that the skin has to "sustain". I worry that this amount of daily rubbing will increase my couperosis and damage my skin barrier further( I dunno what to do, tbh, cause I'm not sure that using just a cleanser, even if two times, is enough.
Do you use sunscreen or makeup? If yes, how stubborn are these products when it comes to removal with just micellar water or a cleanser? If you don't use sunscreen, makeup, or easily removable products, it's fine to use just one of them.
❤❤
Can I use cetaphil gentle skin cleanser after using micellar cleansing water ? Please tell how to use it like should I wash my face with water after using micellar water and wipe it with cloth and go ahead with cetaphil gentle skin cleanser or directly after using micellar water use cetaphil gentle skin cleanser without washing off the micellar water and wiping the excess water?
Hey! :)
Do you feel the need to do a double cleanse with your Micellar Water and cleanser?
If so, you can follow the instructions in the video! :) - Once you're done with your Micellar Water, rinse it off/wet your skin and follow with your cleanser.
If not, just remove the residue of your Micellar Water with water! :)
But cetaphil gentle skin cleanser is to be used on dry skin i.e without wetting face?
@@sunidhiparab8288 You can use it both ways. Either on dry or on wet skin :)
Sister iam using lactic acid can i use it 3 or 2 days per week continuously for two days or should I give some time
You need to test it; my advice is to start using it every other day, see how it goes, and then adjust the frequency over time.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial ok but if my skin accept it then i can use it at every night
@@devilsdad249 yes, of course!
Can I use Garnier cleansing water for remove sun cream after that can use a face wash . cleansing water can use everydays
It depends on the sunscreen you have used. So you need to test it. But yes, it is the correct way to do it.
For water resistant sun cream can use micellar water
@@m.wisurichamodya9135 This can work. However, I prefer to use an oil or balm cleanser to remove my sunscreen. I primarily use Micellar Water to remove my makeup.
Sister how many days should I wait to use my aha after my microneedling session can i use my aha after 2 days or 3 days
Hey! :)
I'm not too sure. Please check this with your beautician or dermatologist.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial ok sister
Can I use Disaar sunscreen before St Ives moisturizing cream?
Yes :)
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thankyou for the reply ☺️
Can I just use CeraVe foaming cleanser once to remove sunscreen that is not waterproof or not sweat resistant
Just test it :) The only "real" problems I had were with Mineral Sunscreens; some of them are impossible to remove with a regular cleanser.
Thanks mineral sunscreen are pain in the ass. One more thing according to you what do you think which ones better for oily skin beauty of josen or instree watery sun gel

Can i use micellar water more then twice during the day ?
It is generally safe to use micellar water more than twice a day, as it is a gentle and mild cleanser that does not typically strip the skin of its natural oils. However, using micellar water too frequently can potentially cause irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial bc of religious obligations ، i must split my face with water 5 times a day , so i must remove water prove stuff from my face i was wondering if i can use micellar water for this purpose and reapply sunscreen and moisturiser right after, thank u ❤️ for answering
