Walked out of Target today with Neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask, Neutrogena hydroboost, CeraVe AM moisturizer, Differin gel, and a salicylic acne face wash. If anyone looked into my cart they’d know I’m a Dr. Dray subscriber 😂

I am a 2017 CeraVe convert myself. I use the Am and Pm lotions along with the hydrating cleanser. Upon watching your videos, Dr. Dray, I bought the moisturizing cream in the tub to combat the dry winter skin on my body. I love all the products I have used so far. So glad I stumbled onto your channel. Thanks for all the great skincare info and videos. P.S. Hope your voice returns to normal soon. Have a great week.

Hello Dr Dray, could you please make a video about symptoms of dehydrated skin and how to treat it? Perhaps, "oily and dehydrated skin" would be a better content? Sometimes I'm confused whether my skin is oily or simply dehydrated and lacks moisture as this leads to excess sebum production as well. Any help would be grately appreciated. Thank youuuu

L' Oreal purchased IT Cosmetics a while back. I have used their CC Cream with SPF50 for sometime, and have not noticed a difference in the product since the buyout. Jamie Kern Lima said that her products would not change, but that L' Oreal would get them into more locations because of their clout. So, let's hope this is a win for CeraVe, as I love their products and use their moisturizers for face and body.

Not so much changes to original line as introduction of new product to IT Cosmetics line. Have you noticed how many new product launches since L’ORÉAL bought them ? And very similar products to the L’ORÉAL family of brands. i agree w Dr Dray that the new Micellar water is cosmetic brand influenced. I cannot use any of them they burn my eyes 👀

Something that I would like to see is a video outlining how to use the CeraVe line. There are so many products that it is hard to know how many of them to use, for what, and in what order they should be applied. I usually end up buying a bunch of products and slapping them on haphazardly...

LOL, I love her! "I actually dealt with 2 human beings to get this."
Also, I have tried the CeraVe Psoriasis Cream for my KP and my skin looked better in one use. It's a bit expensive for 8 oz, but it's a great product. I'll wait for sales at the drugstores. It's a wonderful maintenance product for keeping my KP at bay and improving my overall complexion.

Dr. Dray didn't recommend that in her walmart video and I personally wouldn't, that choice would better be made between you and your healthcare provider. However, on the CeraVe website it is indicated as "Face" for "Area of Use." www.cerave.com/Our-Products

Dr Dray I am really happy to hear that. I have been concerned that the prices of the popular drug store brands, like CeraVe would begin to rise. Possibly the competition will keep pricing within reason.
Also, Dr. Dray I have been using the CeraVe make up removal towelettes for about three months with no eye irritation. I wear makeup at work including waterproof mascara and long lasting lipstick. I often remove everything mid day if there are no meetings or court appearances scheduled in the afternoon. Possibly it contains something that you are personally sensitive to. Sending healing prayers for your voice and wishes for an incredibly successful and healthy New Year. Much LoveXxoo

You asked about the Cerave Renewing Gel Oil. While cannot attest to its performance since I have only just purchased it, I can say it is a gel and feels quite moisturizing going on. It takes about three minutes or less to fully absorb into your skin. It feels modestly oily but absorbs leaving no residue behind.

Another great video. You do sound cute with your poor scratchy throat. Like you, I dont see the point of micellar water, unless you have frozen water pipes from this frigid weather! :) Just an FYI: the Night Renewing Cream does not contain retinol but the Night Renewing Serum does. We love Cerave products in our house, except for the AM moisturizer. My daughter has chronic eczema, and most of the products are a life saver for her. Yesterday, however, she accidentally put the AM moisturizer on her skin instead of the pm, and she is apparently allergic to the chemical sunscreen in it. I got a call from the school nurse to come get her. Her face was scarlet red and itchy and swollen everywhere she put the lotion. Literally looked like a chemical burn. She is home again today still dealing with the rash. Love your videos! I am learning so much! Keep up the great work!

Dr. Dray, I just wanted to say thank you. Your advice convinced me to finally go to a dermatologist after struggling with acne for over a year that nothing seemed to fix. Now, within a few weeks of being on 50mg of Spironolactone, 0.1% Tretinoin, and washing in the morning with the Panoxyl 4% wash (and moisturizing with cera ve, but I've always done that!), my skin is vastly improving. I have no new breakouts and the post acne marks are fading slightly. Thank you so much!

Dr. Dray, you read my mind! I was concerned about L'Oreal's takeover of the CeraVe line and was looking around for alternatives if changes were made but it looks like I'm safe. The only different ingredient in the PM lotion that I can see is the addition of sodium hydroxide but after doing a little research, it's shown to be used to stabilize the pH of a product if used in small amounts and should not be irritating. I have a bottle in reserve but am still using the "old" formula so we'll see. Thank you, thank you for reviewing this line for us again. I hope your allergies get better! xoxo

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your advise! I just discovered your vlog. I have just begun to use Cerave and so far so good. I had extremely reactive skin and resistant rosacea with redness and pimples. It was in my eyes as well. No prescription helped and I tried them all. I researched on my own and learned that I had to build my skin barrier with ceramides and niacinamide. I discovered Nia 24 products- expensive but they changed my skin completely. It is far less reactive and the rosacea is controlled. I added Renova very slowly at the suggestion of my dermatologist and my skin looks sensational. Now at 69 I get complements on my skin all the time. My skin still reacts to many fragrances especially essential oils. I do better with chemical sunscreens than physical but I use both. Looking forward to save money with Cerave and Hada Lobo. ( I just ordered on Amazon) I can't thank you enough.

Hi Dr. Dray thank you for reviewing Cerave. I'm wondering is there any difference between moisturizer with SPF 30 and sunscreen with SPF30? Is moisturizer less powerful SPF? Do I need to apply both in the morning?

Dr. Andrea: Helpful video and a lot more to-the-point than some of your earlier videos! I've now tried CereVe products because of the info you have been providing throughout 2017. I really like their gentle cleansing bar and their skin renewing night cream. My skin has a much more even tone, less pimples problems, and has a brighter look than prior to using these products (mature, combination skin). I haven't seen the micellar water here in Vancouver, Canada yet in stores, but I'm sorry to hear about this burning or stinging effect around the eye area. Hopefully with enough feedback, CereVe will have a re-think about the formulation of the product. Anyway, thanks again!

I have used cerave products since I was a teen and love them. I have tried most. Currently I use the day renewing cream and I never reapply instead I reapply the cetaphil spf 50 facial moisturizer. I also wash my face with their SA cleanser and found that it has cleared up my acne. I follow up moisturizing with the SA cream and the skin renewing night cream my skin looks like a chicken at the end of the night but it’s gotten so soft I can’t complain!

Hi, Dr. Dray! I just started using the Ultralight Moisturizer and I love it. Thanks for explaining why the directions say to reapply it every couple of hours. However, I use this product under makeup and am rarely outdoors for any length of time. What do I do?! I'm really pleased with the product, but I can't really reapply when wearing makeup? Is it necessary? Thanks for helping me think through this!

Hi Dr Dray. I am so glad you discussed the eye cream by ceraVe here. I was considering purchasing it. But given it has plant extracts I'll skip that. I used to use eminence. I wanted to incorporate clean skin care. But, I had alot of irritation using the line. I wonder now if part of that may have been the extracts, oils, some sort of frgrances etc. in those products. I have since been using my ceraVa moisturizer on my face and eye area. It seems to be working very well. Thank you for touching on these products again. :)

I love your reviews. I can’t thank you enough for recommending CeraVe, especially for eczema prone skin. This stuff, along with Vanicream has really helped my dyshidrotic eczema. I used their hydrating bath bar because I am used to a bar soap and haven’t had another flare since. It’s kind of like Dove but without the fragrance. I am thinking of switching my face cream from Weleda to CeraVe too. I’ve no issues with Weleda but I know you aren’t a fan of essential oil fragrance. Really curious to try the AM and PM for face 😊

I'm using the CeraVe micellar water because I'm scared to use Garnier, Bioderma isn't sold anywhere, and the Simple brand is awful. I exclusively use CeraVe and I love the hydrating cleanser so it broke my heart too! It should not be advertised to remove eye makeup. I really hope they come out with an eye makeup removal liquid, similar to the Neutrogena one.

I love CeraVe lotion and cream, and I've used it since they brought it out. But I am sensitive to niacinimide and chemical sunscreen so I wish they would formulate a lot of their products differently. I recently discovered their SA Cleanser and it helps my rosacea so much! The Hydrating Cleanser breaks my face out terribly after a few weeks, but is superb as an in-shower body lotion.

I tried the Cerave eye cream recently because I've been using other products from the brand with success. The eye cream however was a disaster! I only used it once at night and despite how careful I was about applying it, it still managed to migrate into my eyes during the night, irritating them so badly. I even ended up with a sty on my left eye. :-( Haven't had one of those monstrosities since high school! Took 9 days to clear up. I also did not find the cream to be the least bit moisturizing or soothing. I returned it for a refund. I now just use the Cerave moisturizing cream in the big tub on my entire face and a tiny amount under my eyes. No irritation. So far this is the only Cerave product that was a dud, all the rest I've used have worked out nicely. :)
