I bought everything and thought my skin would feel like glass skin from now on......but after months even a year of using everything i came to know that there was three very very pro known-mistakes i was doing 1. Not double cleansing 2. Not reapplying sunscreen 3. Not applying serums/actives only in concerned areas. I am a combination skin girl I have almost all types of skin Oily-normal forehead and half of nose Sensitive from cheek near nose area Dry and dark undereye And very dry chin and area around lips Also hormonal acne and their marks on chin Open pores One melasma spot on neck Little dark neck than face and rest of decollect. But these little changes helping me alot. After double cleansing esp. it feels like i have baby soft skin since ever 😅😅 though it was very messy.
Cleansing oils and balms break me out and clogs my pores so I prefer micellar water then using my cleanser or using my cleanser twice. This just works better for my skin.
@@Skynfyxin the evening, cleanse with misceller water then salicylic acid face wash.. Should I use same face wash in the morning or any other face wash.. Please suggest any other ? Skin type oily acne prone skin
When I first read about double cleansing I went to the bathroom and used twice my raw African black soap. Then reading more and watching youtube videos, I realized they meant 2 different cleansers and I decided to buy a bar of activated charcoal soap. Till I get my charcoal soap, I do my mini glass skin routine with double using African soap, enzymatic exfoliator, aloe vera with sebum reduction and then I finish with little oil and VOILA my skin shines! when my mom first saw me she was like OMG YOUR SKIN WHAT DID YOU DO TELL ME NOW! lol
Don't use bar of soap which are meant for body. Use charcoal cleanser for the face. Because bars that are made for body are harsh and will damage the skin barrier
My skin? It's complicated like a life partner. Right now I still can't find the right brand or cleansing method that suits me the best. I tried double cleansing before, using a brand named Simple, because they said it's gentle to the skin as I have a sensitive skin, it doesn't hurt my skin but acnes and pimples everywhere. Such a nightmare 😩 right now I quit double cleansing, change my skincare brand, acne still saying hi, probably now make up is the problem, so right now, I'm trying to keep my face off make up, just using basic skincare and sunblock to see who's the real culprit, not suitable skincare brand or make up.
I double cleanse only at night because of sunscreen and make up and I use the same cleanser just twice ( CeraVe SA cleanser) and in the morning I use cosrx low pH cleanser just once but for 60 seconds. I'm 43, adult acne prone, combination dry skin...
Hi, Dok.. im 34yo and I do double cleansing twice a day. My skin type oily acne prone, been using micellar rose water for first cleanser and la roche posay effaclar foaming gel for second cleanser. Its super refreshing my skin after double cleansing and my skin feels much better ✨️
Hi Doc am am 42 and i double cleanse all evenings. When i first started to do this i read a lot of reviews so i decided to buy Hada Labo' s cleansing oil and for the 2nd step Purito's low ph foam. They work very well together, but when i finished the 2 bottles i started a new direction. That is SULWHASOO cleansing oil and cleansing foam and they are soooo good. It is like going to spa, i now use many hanbang cosmetic products and i can surely see the difference.
Good Morning Dr. Thankyou so much for this genuine information. I'm using Innisfree oi cleanser and Simple cleanser. Initially, I tried many cleansers but now sticking to this one only. Other cleansers resulted in bumpy skin. My skin is dry, dehydrated, pigmented and textured. Please suggest some good cleansers.
I use a lightweight oil cleanser. Caudalie being my favorite followed by Dreh soy cleanser. I use a creamy cleanser in the winter as the 1nd cleanser and if I'm oiler in hotter months I use a foaming cleanser.

I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. What product should I used for double cleansing? Since I have oily skin I should not use any product with OIL based but at the same time I have sensitive skin so I should use oil cleanser for double cleansing. I wear make up everyday so whaat should I do?
Hi Dr, my skin is oily and very acne prone, but at the same time is sensitive and thin. I can't use micellar water for the first step of double cleansing because using a cotton pad on my skin irritates and burns my skin. For the second step, I use Vanicream cleansing gel. Should I use balm or cleansing oil for the first step? Which cleansing balm or oil is suit for me?
well..i'm a normal skin person. I started double cleansing pretty recently like 3-4 months or so...i started it coz of my real bad hormonal breakout...i used the beplain greenful cleanser [no promo, real experience] n it did help a lot with my acne. i actually cleared my scne completely in this time. n it also completely prevented the post acne enlarged pores as well. but the feat yet best thing to do is find a cleanser for ur skin...otherwise u might face issues..l
I’ve been using salicylic acid during the evening for my oily sensitive skin, but I’m encountering acne break out on my face on areas where I usually don’t break out, redness and bumps. I was assuming it was purging but after a week, I’m beginning these are actually break outs . Would using a double cleansing routine be a better alternative over salicylic acid?
I'm running into the same problem. It's been over a month with salicylic acid and I'm starting to think these pimples are breakouts and no longer a skin purge.
I realised, as I age my skin likes cleansing balm instead of cleansing oil. My skin used to be combination, but now tend to be dryer. I find that matured skin needs more hydration ingredients. Doc, what are the suggested brands for matured skin. Slowly I find that UK/US brands suits me better than Korean skincare line.
@@Yuyu-he7se I love that line! With the exception of the Moist Cream (which was eh to me), every single product has the most insanely pleasant texture when going on 😩 The same brand has some products w/ collagen, etc. that are pretty good for matured skin so maybe those would be good for OP. They're not too expensive so it might be nice to try out
I have oily skin especially on T-zone and i am double cleansing with anua pore cleansing oil and cosrx good morning low ph cleanser, is it okay to use these together??
Dr, what is your opinion on the types of oils in cleansing oil? Do you think there is a difference? Do some types of oils be better than the others, or are they pretty much the same?
I am currently using the CosRx Cica Oil Cleanser. So far, it's good. But it takes quite some time to rinse. Might switch to cleansing balm. Is there anything that you can recommend?
