Gen X'er here. This song has been playing daily in my head for the last few years 😢 Yes, Eddie, I DO want to go back!! 😎🎶
It was golden era for sure….. but i didnt know that when i was living in 80s
We really didn't know at the time just how great and amazing we had it. #iwannagoback
No social media, just so much fun. Glad I was there and enjoyed it 😊
I kind of wish Facebook would have come along a bit earlier though. It turned out to be a great way to connect with old classmates and friends we had lost touch with. I could do without the "discourse", the influencers, and all that, but the original functions of Facebook I thought were great. I mean who didn't look up their old crushes on Facebook???
You never know you are in the good old days until they are over - Andy from the Office
I love how they show 80s pop culture
I love the 80s. I miss it so much. I want to go back.
1984 was the best year of the 80's. The music the movies the tv shows I was 14 years old, doesn't get any better then that!! For me anyway. ❤❤ ❤ the 80s
agree about 1984
exactly no internet or smart phones good times best music best movies tv shows should have stayed in the 80s haha
‘84 was a great year!!
1989 ranks up there too!!! The SUMMER of 1989 had the most BLOCKBUSTER MOVIES hit the THEATRES ever in American History!!!
Ghostbusters, The Terminator, Beverly Hills Cop, Indiana Jones, The Karate Kid, Van Halen 1984 Album, LA Olympics, Magic and Larry finally meet in NBA FINALS, The Great One wins his first Stanley Cup, yeah 1984 was the year that JUMP STARTED the rest of the decade!!! @@gen-x-dad
This was great!
Nostalgic times.
I miss all those movies, real people who don't have tattoos, multiple piercings like this current society. 😪
We had great movies, TV shows and music with no smartphones, no emails, no text, no internet .we went to night clubs to meet new people and have fun. We could fix our own cars with no computers. We rented movies from a store and looked forward to seeing it. I miss the 80s. Great time to grow up.
Thumbs up for class of 1990, we're officially old now, the big 5O
well i beat you by a couple years, but that's a big milestone for sure!
Yea I graduated high school in 90 lol
Same
You're old AF
So blessed to have been a teenage in the 1980s. Peace and Prosperity for all!
Everything that came before and after the 80's are bookends. The 80's was when we were most alive; everything was at peak passion.
As time goes on and we start to lose more of the friends, families and celebrities we had in our lives. We will still have the memories of the 80’s to remember them by ❤️😢
Truly the best decade. Wish I could time travel and given my kids that experience. Thanks
Best decade ever! I would be first in line if a ‘Time Machine’ could take me back there! 😂
i was born in 72 . the 80s was a god blessed decade . so happy I lived it
Love this! Class of 86.
Same here!
I wanna go back to a time that was real and made sense 80s
Love it, but i want to cry at the same time. Like you all, i miss the 80s . Great times, life was so much better .
I am so glad I got the grow up in the 70s and 80s. Those definitely were the best days of our lives. Oh.....and I wanna go back.
Oh. That young suited Michael J. Fox pirouette makes me both elated and heartbroken at the same instant.
I wanta go back 80’s was the best ! But after really thinking about it I wouldn’t have my beautiful wife of 22 years and 2 amazing teenage kids if did ! So even though it was an amazing time to grow up in the 80 I’ll take my life right now. Thank you Lord for giving me both !
This is as close to a time machine as we'll ever get, I miss the 80's music, big hair, and movies, the best time of my life. Thank you!
Had I known then what I know now I would have never made it out of the 80s alive....The greatest years of society
I remember when this song came out, and I thought it was so pathetic, singing about missing the old days. Now I really feel it.
Well the toughest part about growing up in the 1980s is the truth that they trull are never coming back. But Thank The Lord us Generation Xers were so blessed and fortunate to experience them......😢
Gawd I miss the 80’s I really wish we could go back
I graduated in 1980 from 1980 until 1989 I experienced all life had to offer the best decade of my life I would go back and do it all over in a heartbeat. Loved the 80’s
Time should’ve stopped in 1985!!! Then back to 1980 up to 1985 all over again! My world in 2024 is only music and movies from the 80’s ❤
Born in 1947, grew up in the 60’s (great times!)
Went through the 70’s (sucked: US Army & 2 divorces)
In 1983 met a 19 year old and married her & enjoyed the 80’s with her,
Still together!❤
Age is just a number ♥️
If you were born in '47 you grew up in the 1950s
@@RadRat1138 In 1950, I was 13. I spent my teenage years in the early 1960’s and that was the music that I ‘grew up’ with.
@@rodrogers6895 You just said you were born in 1947. That would make you 3 in 1950 and 13 in 1959/60.
You're a Boomer. My dad was born in 1944 making him Silent Generation (those born 1928-1945). They were the hippies, not Boomers. Well, maybe some older Boomers like you.
Puberty starts at age 9 or 10. Being "a kid" is defined by pre-adolescence. If you were born in 1947 then you definitely "grew up" in the 1950s. The early 1960s would have been the beginning of your young adulthood
My 2 cents
@@RadRat1138 I am glad that you have nothing better to do with your time.👍
My mom still loves listening to her "oldies". My dad sort of shorted out when I mentioned that 80s music is my oldies. It's the music we grew up to.
Would go back in a heartbeat! 80s was and always will be the BEST decade ❤️
I would definitely GO BACK
I was born in the 70's and now in my 50's, this song hits even harder. Never in a million years would I guess that I would be listening to 2 songs in one, only discernible by the passage of time. Happy sad has never been so relevant. :(
God man how I wish. Was just watching vision quest with my ten yr old son. They have no idea how great it was to live free of cell phones and nonsense. These movies defined us. The music too!
Cell phones are an invasion of privacy imo things were better withought them
@@bjeffrey1863 yup
I ❤️ the 80’s we were young and we all thought we would live forever ♾️ 💕 I miss everyone so much. 💗
Great memories from the 80s. I'd want to go back, too!4
Graduated in 86! Those were the best of times!
STYX..The Best of Times..
Pac-Man, Berzerk,Galaga we had it all Key Largo Bertie Higgins,Words don't come easy like it's becoming now the last 10years Fr David to Wonderful Life Black.Knight Rider,Airwolf,Street Hawk to He-man, Transformers and Dinosaucers i could go on.Competition in Music Massively all around the World Movies and Sport was hard it's different now.
Born in 72…teen in 1980s. So blessed!
I'll always miss da 80's Rock&Roll movie's and and just being a teenager and concerts and hanging out with friends and family
I became a teenager in 87, what a decade to be a kid then a teenager. No worries or cares, just have fun. If I could go back I'd hug my dad more, he wasn't one to show affection but I would try more to get him to.
Great song! Oh how I wanna go back too. The great times of the 80's, glad I was there. Great job.
Omg we had it made, what a time to be in your prime. I had such a good time and still do at 54 but nothing like the 80s and early 90s. The music, movies, malls, girls and parents that didn't care where we were.
Class of 1982. Vinyl records, long phone cords, and crappy TVs. What a time!! We had to talk to one another, and listen to great music!!
What a time, from movies, TV shows, music and wrestling
thanks, glad to hear another shout out for wrestling
Makes me want to cry. What I'd do to go back 80s were the best decade's
Thanks for that. It was like a four minute vacation back to when everything was still good.
The beautiful lady on the mechanical horse is Jennifer Connelly from the 1991 movie , Career Opportunities..
Big difference now obviously..in my 40s and watching an uploaded video to time travel....thank you
God I miss the 80s. I was 10 years old in 1980 so my teen years were throughout the 80s. They were the best of times. I wanna go back…
Thank you for the video.
